Does anyone want to join me in a discussion about the contents this year? No spoilers!

Yes very usable product although someone else bought me the calendar from that brand as a late October birthday present so slightly less exciting. But I love the smell.

So excited to open this this morning! I love Occitane but like FlipFlap have a few mini bottles of this already in my wash bag but it is lovely and will come in useful!

Day 1 - nice practical shower gel. Love the smell. Not the most exciting thing in the world but will definitely get used.

Mmm hoped for something a bit more exciting for Day 1 but it's a lovely brand and I'll def use it.

I am happy with the shower gel. Still in bed drinking coffee atm but looking forward to cracking it open.
I loved the blood orange perfume last year, I kept on meaning to treat myself to but never got round to looking for it.

Hi all - loved the calendar (and the thread) last year so am back for this one. I don't think I have ever used anything from L'occitane so am very happy with day 1.

Just used today's offering and it's a lovely scent.

So shower gel for day one is a safe option... It's a bloody lovely shower gel though. Just used mine and the scent is really nice.

I'm really jealous! I haven't got an advent calendar this year and I had the M&S one last year! 😥

I'm very happy with day 1! I love verbena and have bought it in the past but don't currently have any, and haven't ever bought the travel size. So I will definitely use and enjoy it.

Haven't used it yet but I'm pleased with it, I love verbena and L'Occitane is a good brand.

Shower gel smells nice. Good start. Going to use it in 10mins!

I'm excited for this year's calendar. My first experience with M&S advent calendars was last year, and it did not disappoint. :)

I love the smell of the shower gel. The only problem is that Mumsnet style&beauty convinced me to use bar soap rather than shower gel so I may give it to DD!

First time trying a beauty advent calendar for me so I’m joining in too! Very pleased with day one, I love this brand. Verbena is gorgeous scent too.

Is it in stock in store anywhere this year? Last year there were plenty left in the shops. We were away when it went on sale.

Great start and the perfect size for my swim bag. I've really enjoyed this calendar for the last couple of years. Some of the products in previous calendars have become regular purchases for me. Even if I don't like a particular days offering it's worth the £1.40 a day just for the joy of having a box to open each morning.

Joining in day 1, shower gel smells lovely will definitely use this one. My 3rd year having the M&S calendar. I love it

Don't have m&s this year so shamelessly watching to see what you get. Shower gel sounds fab! Bit gutted I didn't get one now. I went for Cath Kidston this year. First day good so hopefully a good decision

I still haven't used that white tube of face mask/peely stuff (M&S brand) we got last year. Can anyone remind me what I do with it?

Yeah I think it’s a bit meh. I have loads I’ve accumulated from hotels already. Still it’s my first year of this advent calendar so I remain positive for the next 23 days

recovery you use it on dry, clean skin. Rub it on until you feel loads of bits coming off then rinse. It's amazing stuff! Really works when I get congested skin on my chin...seems to draw all of the yuck out!

Brought my day 1 and 2 to my mums as here for the weekend. Bought her a L'Occitane advent calender so we both laughed when I got L'Occitane especially as I already have the shower gel. Hoping for something more exciting tomorrow!
