Ooh, love this thread. This is my first ever Advent calendar and I'm so happy. Sharing with teenage DD as there are some items I would probably not use. Also, felt less guilty buying it then, but as she also got a chocolate one, I get 1st dibs. So happy with day 1 - it smells divine, keeping it for Christmas Day!!!!!

NotAnActualSheep · 01/12/2018 21:09

Oooh. Good idea for a thread! Have this for the first time this year (and then had to get DH a beer one and DS a Lego one so they weren't left out...everyone happy). Worried it would be a shed load of stuff I pinch from hotel rooms and then fail to use - but the shower gel looks pretty nice. Must remember to use in the shower tomorrow...

YouWereRight · 01/12/2018 21:42

Recovery, yep I cheated Grin

Good job my memory is so shite I've forgotten what's in it already.

Xmasbaby11 · 01/12/2018 22:34

Really happy with the shower gel. I've had it before and love it, and can never afford to buy it! Beautiful fresh fragrance.

Bubbinsmakesthree · 01/12/2018 23:48

I skipped last year as I was broke so very excited to have one again (still broke but what the hell!).

I'm a fan of this shower gel though I've got a few travel size bottles of this already from hotels etc so it's not that exciting - will certainly get used though.

zucchinieggplant · 02/12/2018 06:49

As I was woken by DS at the crack of dawn, I have high hopes for today's. Eye cream was noticeably missing last year iir so quite pleased about this.

ThePortugueseTart · 02/12/2018 07:24

Happy with day 2.
I’m 42 and my eye area shows it (too much lying around on beaches on my travels in my younger years).
Looking forward to giving this a go. Do people apply at night or morning and night?

Pinkgin50 · 02/12/2018 07:51

Looking forward to trying the eye cream . I'm hoping someone will advise on best use of it. I'm struggling to read what it says on the tube , even with my glasses on !

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 02/12/2018 08:13

Oh, it's tiny!
Nevermind, eye cream is always welcome.
From the M&S site - instructions for use
"How to use- Apply the treatment every morning and/or evening. A small amount will suffice. Dot gently around the contours of the eye, taking care not to forget the upper eyelid and the root of the lashes"

I am bit scared of putting it so close to my actual eye! Shock

Pinkgin50 · 02/12/2018 08:28

Thank you for the instructions, the tube is tiny, think I'd need a truckload to make a significant difference!

ihatethecold · 02/12/2018 08:31

I have applied it. Will report back if I lose the dark circles within 10 mins Grin

zucchinieggplant · 02/12/2018 08:50

The tube is tiny, but worth something like £10 iir (it was early when I looked on the website, my maths might not have been up to par)?

redfragglebiker · 02/12/2018 08:56

Oh it's dinky! Still if you only need a little bit it might be okay. Will apply this morning and report back if any good. I've got an 11 month old that doesn't sleep so it's got it's work cut out.

latedecember1963 · 02/12/2018 09:01

I've just dotted a tiny amount around my eyes before putting on my make up. If feels really soothing.
I keep a list of values as I open the boxes and I got today's at £12.53 if my Grade 1 CSE Maths hasn't let me down.

ChangoMutney · 02/12/2018 09:07

Haven’t used yesterday’s shower gel yet, but it reminded me I’ve got a sample size of the same in body lotion so just gave it a try and I’m absolutely in love with the smell. Can’t wait to jump in the shower now. I also bought the calendar for DD (19) so I’m hoping she won’t want the eye cream and we can swap it.

HollyHocks13 · 02/12/2018 09:13

I don't use eye cream but looking forward to trying this and seeing if it makes any difference to my eyes. That's what I like about this calendar - I get to try things I wouldn't have bought otherwise.

Butterymuffin · 02/12/2018 09:24

I've been after an eye cream! Hoped one would come up in the calendar this time.

I have a magnifying glass I use for all the tubes and things that increasingly seem to have TINY instructions. I recommend getting one. Wink (maybe this is why I need eye cream)

Kochicoo · 02/12/2018 09:24

I'm really pleased with the eye cream. I don't use eye cream usually so looking forward to seeing what it can do. The mask from this brand in last year's calendar was really good so I have high hopes. So far so good this yearSmile

PurpleWithRed · 02/12/2018 09:34

This is weird - yesterdya and today I got completely different things to you lot!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 02/12/2018 09:39

Ooh Ooh what brand is the eyecream, can anyone post the details?

PrincessWatermelon · 02/12/2018 09:48

I'm joining in! I had the LF one last year as my Christmas present, so opened it through Jan. But it meant I couldn't join in on any threads as I was a month late!

So treated myself to the M&S one as a 'what the heck I deserve this'!!

Enjoyed the shower gel last night.

The eye cream will come in handy. Although it's small, it'll last ages. I use a Clarins one normally and I've just looked - the full size tube is 15ml.

Fatasfook · 02/12/2018 09:51

Joining thread, I love this calendar but rely on the annual Mumsnet thread to learn how to use all the different products!

Lumene · 02/12/2018 09:52

How odd Purple

Easilyflattered · 02/12/2018 10:00

What did you get Purple?

PartTimePunk · 02/12/2018 10:03

@70isaLimitNotaTarget It's Filorga.

So glad people have posted instructions here; the print is tiny!
