Oh yes I didn’t use the liquid gold either but I seem to have lost it as it wasn’t in the cupboard with the other unused products Confused.

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 09/12/2018 20:29

I loved the rose oil from last year. I used it before bed...just rolled it all over my face and massaged in. I added night cream on top if my skin still felt dry but it frequently didn't.
I also loved the Emma Hardie balm. Gorgeous stuff! Just a bit too pricey for everyday use.

I am pleased with today's nignt cream, looking forward to trying it out later.

LoniceraJaponica · 09/12/2018 20:40

I think I threw my rose oil out. I have normal/combination skin so greasy, oily products just make me feel grubby.

diamondsandrose · 09/12/2018 20:44

Loved Emma Hardie and the rose oil

Oils are great for my normal/combination skin as they are often dehydrated

Liquid gold is amazing. Use couple of times a week PM. Just splash a bit on with your hands if you don't have cotton wool

SlowNorris · 09/12/2018 21:08

I tried elasticizer for the first time today and I know this will sound ridiculous but my hair it so silky, my bobble won’t stay in. It just slides out.

I’m not a fan, as I have to wear my hair up for work so this just won’t do Grin but for others, I’m sure it’ll be great!

YouWereRight · 09/12/2018 21:19

I'm pleased with today's offering. I like REN, so keen to try this. I like the nail varnish too, I applied some in the car yesterday morning, and it hasn't chipped yet.

I loathe the Emma Hardie cleanser. It reminded me of the almond paste from the centre of an almond croissant.

I love the rose Otto oil. I run a tiny bit on my hands with night cream, I also rubber some into my sore, red nose when I have a cold.

YouWereRight · 09/12/2018 21:23

Oh, I forgot to add, I have 4 tester tubs of the elasticised, but every time I get one my hair is having a good patch, and I put it away for when my hair is being odd, then forget I have it.

I regularly use the hair oil from a couple of years ago, was it Josh Wood? That stuff is great, and smells divine.

Eatsleepworkrepeat · 09/12/2018 21:34

youwereright how do you use the hair oil? I ran some through my hair on my hands one time but it just made it greasy, so never tried it again. Any tips?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 09/12/2018 22:18

Will be looking into the face footner

I bought a full size tube (I've never had an M&S Advent) tried it tonight.

Weird experience Grin not a lot of information on the tube just massage onto cleansed dry skin until the transformation is complete then rinse with warm water

Transformation is complete , eh?

It's a bit watery. Don't get it near your eyes . Massage .....and oooh it rolls off your skin (stand over the sink) . Keep massaging, keeps rolling.
My skin feels really smooth, plumped .

Housewife2010 · 09/12/2018 22:25

What is the face footner?

KateAdiesEarrings · 09/12/2018 23:05

I've just found this thread. It's fab! The eye cream has made a massive difference already. I love the perfume but found the lip balm a bit meh.
I haven't tried the hair product yet so appreciated the tips on how to use it.

ThePortugueseTart · 09/12/2018 23:05

Right. I’ve put the Elasticizer in my hair and am going to sleep in it. Fingers crossed I wake with my birds’ nest transformed.

DragonNoodleCake · 09/12/2018 23:32

I tried the Elasticizer yesterday, put it in and had breakfast whilst it soaked in. Hair did feel softer and silkier afterwards, however this morning my hair felt way better than it usually does the day after washing (I wash every other day but the second day it doesn't feel as nice usually) so it's a win.

SomethingAboutNothing · 09/12/2018 23:45

Does anyone else think the REN night cream smells like pepper? Very strange, but feels nice so hopefully my skin will look good in the morning.

I never used the Rose Otto oil from last year, my skin is oily so I didn't think it would be a good idea. I couldn't work out what the liquid gold was meant to do so didn't use that either. I loved the Dragon blood serum though, favourite product of the calendar last year! Couldn't stretch to buying a full size one though.

FlipFlapBat · 10/12/2018 07:15

Has nobody else opened up this morning yet? I’m not convinced, it feels a bit of a repeat this close to the Elasticizer

Flightywoman · 10/12/2018 07:19

I was thinking that Bat. Though I like the sound of it disappearing so as not to ruin the pillowcases.

The lip balm is going in a stocking, I am a Blistex loyalist. And previous REN has made my face itch so I'll see about that...

MeetOnTheSIedge · 10/12/2018 07:25

I won't be using this one, its definitely not Curly Girl friendly. I forgot to try rhe night cream last night too.

PartTimePunk · 10/12/2018 07:27

Yes Flip I was thinking the same re: similarity to elasticizer.

I used the Ren last night and my skin does feel lovely and soft this morning, but I found the fragrance really odd - quite herbal.

EchoJuliet · 10/12/2018 07:32

I have no number 10!!!! What’s am I missing?! I do have two number 12s and that day is my birthday - weird huh! Fingers crossed it’s a goodie 😂

Butterymuffin · 10/12/2018 07:39

I was slightly 'oh' at another hair treatment soon after the elasticiser, but it does sound a lot less faff. Spray in and just ignore while it disappears - I can do that! So I'll give it a go.

Awks · 10/12/2018 07:39

They knew it was your birthday and I bet there's a full size bottle of Tom Ford perfume in there especially for you 😬

Sparkletastic · 10/12/2018 07:55

Somethingaboutnothing I've got oily skin too and can't recommend the Rose Otto enough - give it a try! Likewise Liquid Gold - perfect for oily skin. It's an exfoliating toner. Soak a cotton pad and wipe all over face and neck. Use alone at night to give it longer to work or follow with a serum or moisturiser for a lighter effect.

I like today's. Elasticizer is too much faff and I haven't ever used the previous one. I can get with an overnight treatment on dry hair though.

Polpette · 10/12/2018 08:04

I tried the elastisizer last night and my hair feels amazing and looks really glossy.

Not sure how today's is any less faff though? You still have to wash it out. Although I guess the dry hair application helps.

I want to see how well the elastisizer works over time so I may have to wait awhile before using this one.

JessicaJonesJacket · 10/12/2018 08:07

Polpette how often are you going to use the elastisizer? I can't work out if it's something to use regularly or occasionally iyswim

MeetOnTheSIedge · 10/12/2018 08:30

I think I'll do the elasticiser again on Thurs as I'm going out that night, but I have to say thst so far there is no visible difference, just a slightly silkier feel. I will probably straighten my hair for the night out (normally let it dry naturally as it's very wavy) so it might improve glossiness. I'm going to give today's to DD, her hair is straight, very long and a bit trashed as she's a competitive swimmer.
