There's been a lot of spam this week

LoniceraJaponica · 08/12/2018 17:18

DD tried the lip balm and said it made her dry lips worse. It came out of the tube easily. Maybe most of you live in very cold houses?

I tried the hair product, and my hair looks and feels the same. The nail varnish looks great.

MeetOnTheSIedge · 08/12/2018 17:30

My heating would have only just come on when I opened my lipbalm, so it probably was quite cold. I put some more on last night and it came out a bit more easily. We keep our thermostat quite low though,

Doilooklikeatourist · 08/12/2018 17:39

A new nail varnish , just in time for my Christmas party 👍

sluj · 08/12/2018 17:53

I tried the lip balm on the day we got it and my bottom lip is now quite sore. Could be a coincidence but I'll give it a while before I try it again Shock

LoniceraJaponica · 08/12/2018 18:02

DD hated the tingling from the lip balm. I don't understand why manufacturers make a tingling lip balm for cracked, dry lips as it just burns on application.

sluj · 08/12/2018 18:09

I wouldn't mind, but I don't even have dry lips 🙄

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 08/12/2018 18:54

I have put the polish on ready for a night out and it looks great! One coat was enough and it's a lovely shade.

BollockingBaubles · 08/12/2018 22:46

I'm torn on the nail polish.

I had a recent cull as I collected the stuff like crazy and over this last year managed to get 150 bottles down to just 30 and I'm aiming to get it down to a handful of ones where I live both the colour and the formula as many where ones that lasted ages but I wasn't keen on colour, or I loved the colour but formula.

I like this one but, it's on nails now and finishbis lovely but at the same time it's a type of colour I'd never wear other than at Christmas. So I'm never going to finish it, it's a generous full sized product but it's one where a mini would have been better for me :)

Im happy to post to the pp who's bottle was broken because I really can't see me using this again, as much as I like it.

Howaboutthisone · 08/12/2018 22:46

Really impressed with the nail varnish so far. Love the colour and it's actually lasted a few hours with no chips on me- unheard of! Loved the colour of the nails inc in last year/before but that chipped within 5 mins! Did use the beauty box Leighton Denny top coat on this one. Also tried the elasticizer this morning-wet hair rubbed in and wrapped in towel for an hour. Hair feels nicer today but not sure if it's mind over matter!
Love this calendar and this thread!😊

MeetOnTheSIedge · 08/12/2018 23:59

My hair feels silkier but no difference in appearance with the elasticiser. I will use it up as it's no bother at all so long as I remember to put it in when I first get up at the weekend and have a shower a bit later.

I decided to give the perfume another try (hated it on the first day). Just a gentle spray on my arm, I quite liked it this time. I think so long as I don't overdo it I could use it after all. That's what I like about these calendars, they get you trying things you would never have bought yourself, even if money was not a factor IYSWIM.

Hellozzz · 09/12/2018 02:16

Loving this thread.
Love the perfume and nail varnish love love love
Have just started using the eye cream and neck and throat cream, nice but not earth shattering.

Shower gel lovely, great smell and nice feel on the body.

Think the calendar is great value and enjoying the treats.

BusterGonad · 09/12/2018 04:48

I love that nail varnish. It's a really beautiful shade.

CupoBlood · 09/12/2018 07:13

Sorry for anyone I confused I had last year off Blush

Butterymuffin · 09/12/2018 07:28

Very happy with today's too. I am definitely interested in trying more revitalizing skin care so the night cream is very welcome! Actually opened this at about 1am so put some on right away. I feel like my face looks better than it deserved to this morning!

Pinkgin50 · 09/12/2018 07:41

Looking forward to trying the night cream. I've currently got a jar on the go so will wait til ive finished that before I open this one

ThePortugueseTart · 09/12/2018 07:49

I’m using up a full size pot of the Korres night cream (which I got after having this calendar last year) so will try today’s night cream thereafter.

Honestly, I must be the best version of me in December What with slapping all these lotions and potions on!!

HollyHocks13 · 09/12/2018 08:07

I'm pleased with this. I usually slap on some Nivea at night so it will nice to try something a bit posher! Put some on my hand and it feels lovely and silky now.
I've never had a beauty calendar before and I absolutely love it. I really look forward to the little treat every day and it brightens up even the most stressful of days 😊

dollyknocker · 09/12/2018 08:30

I love REN so really happy with today's.

MysweetAudrina · 09/12/2018 08:52

I came on the thread this morning to find you all discussing a completely different product to me. I had opened 10 instead of 9 so that's two treats for me today and none for tomorrow.

Have never really used a night cream before so looking forward to it.

Have never used so much product in my life. Although yesterday I thought I was squeezing the lip balm but it was the eye cream which doesn't need as much elbow grease to get it out of the tube so I nearly squeezed the whole tube out.

FranKubelik · 09/12/2018 08:55

Looking forward to trying this. The REN day cream in a previous calendar was really nice.

Polpette · 09/12/2018 09:11

The only disappointment with today's is that I have to wait until tonight to use it.

How's everyone storing everything? Are you keeping it all separate or just integrating it in with your normal beauty products?

At the moment I'm trying to keep everything together but the jar I'm using is rapidly running out of space.

OHolyNightOwl · 09/12/2018 09:16

I love REN 1 minute flash facial, so am excited about this one.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 09/12/2018 09:57

Just a tip for those who have tried he Elasticiser and were a bit meh.

Phillip Kingsley used to appear on QVC (he's now deceased and his daughter does the presentations). He was a Trichologist so his products aren't 'hairdresser' style IYSWIM.

The Elasticiser is cumulative , so after use one-two you don't get the best effect but keep going........... it works Smile

tellmewhenthespaceshiplands · 09/12/2018 10:09

Another REN fan so v happy with today! I've been up on and off with a poorly DD since 2am so look like death today...I'll slather this on tonight and put it through its paces!

Polpette I have a hoarding streak with beauty products so I'm trying most things once then squirrelling them away earmarked for hols and the like. They're in a scruffy wicker basket in the bathroom which doesn't look half as nice as your jar! Your brush pot is lovely too!
