I am so bloody excited fo Sunday

Does anyone want to join me in a discussion about the contents this year? No spoilers!

I’ve started to read the little notes on the box before I open it, trying to spin out the excitement! Was sure this was going to be a polish, and it’s a gorgeous one. I have a vast collection but few shimmers spa great addition.
Am delighted with this calendar so far.Great value too, can’t belive we are already at double the cost of the calendar in terms of value of items.

I have a few of this colour, but I can't complain I suppose.

I love this colour! Much prefer blue toned reds to orangey ones. My fingernails are SNS dipped every two weeks (in a similar colour to this) so I will use on my toenails.

Mrpoopybutthole I am so sorry that happened to you. Same thing happened to me 6 years ago - it does get better, I promise! I am glad that the calendar is helping. Treats are important!

I like today's colour, very festive.

Very happy with the polish today, great being full size too.

My poor calendar has been hijackedby my 5yo ds. He's insisting on helping me open the box each day, and was rearranging all the boxes this morning.

Perfect Christmas red! Happy with that. I reckon the Leighton Denny glitter from last year will make an excellent top coat too.

It's a lovely colour, very pleased with it.

I used pp tip about pony tail/damp/ elastisizer yesterday and it made my hair very swishy

Well I left the elasticiser on damp hair for an hour, washed it and went out for a couple of hours. It's nearly dry now and feels slightly silkier, heading home now to look at the final result in a mirror.

Nice colour. I will donate to my niece as I have gel polish.

Thanks for the elasticiser tips. I tried the product a few years ago and it did nothing for me. However, after damp ponytailing it last night, my hair is soft and looks good this morning.

Love a Lenny Deighton.... or is it Denny Leighton(?) nail polish but I'm sure the last 2 years advent calendars have had similar cranberry colored nail varnishes in....

Actually in that photo they don't look as similar as I thought.... but nevertheless I'd have preferred something completely different color wise

I had a massive beauty product declutter a few years back. These days (apart from make up) I only use a cleansing balm, I don't even use moisturiser, so I'm definitely enjoying having the chance to play with lots of new products.

I like the nail polish colour, really Christmassy. So far the mascara is a definite re-purchase - I was sceptical at first as it looked so gloopy but it gives me mega long lashes and lasts all day.

Really enjoying everyone's updates, definitely adds to the fun.

Last year was a gold polish and a silver sparkly polish, no red. It least that’s what I got.

The 2016 calendar had the similar colours, not last year's

I'm pleased with the polish colour and agree with a PP it's a bit more 'grown up' than previous year's full on glitter.
I think it's probably to be expected to get festive reds and glitters in an advent product tbh.

Really pleased with today's offering, it's exactly the kind of colour I like. Not too bling but a lovely shade of red. I would never wear gold or silver nail polish anyway.

Ahhh I miss Leighton Denny now he's not on QVC, he was as mad as a box of frogs .
He was a Bradford fork lift driver before he unleashed his nail empire
I don't wear nail products but I bought DD a LD Crystal file (and gave her strict instructions not to use it in the bathroom in case she drops it )

Isn't today's nail polish fab! I'm really pleased with it. Leighton Danny's polishes usually come in at around £12 so there's a third of the calendar's cost in one product. Great, professional quality and a lovely colour.

I am a few days ahead so I’ve had the benefit of having a real go with the nail varnish and I’m very impressed.

I've got the polish on, one coat was enough which is very rare, gorgeous colour.
