Really liked today's lip thingy. Took ages to get it out but lovely when on!
I'm also loving comparing thoughts on here 😊

AlannaOfTrebond · 07/12/2018 23:11

I have no idea why you have all found it so hard to get the lip balm out of the tube.

I must be either totally profligate with the heating or have the grip of a milk maid, because I had no problem at all!

diamondsandrose · 08/12/2018 00:12

Skinful you made me laugh out loud with your hopes for a positive outcome

diamondsandrose · 08/12/2018 00:15

We are at 530 posts , this thread is huge! I'm sure last years only ran to one thread and we are only at the 7th.

We are going to be on to multiple threads, Love it Smile

CantChoose · 08/12/2018 01:21

I have accidentally opened today's instead of yesterday's as I hadn't noticed it's after midnight. I was very confused by the lip balm chat!
I look forward to opening that tomorrow (later today, technically!) and meanwhile am pleased with today's offering - very festive!
I'm also pleased with the elastasizer - I put it on after swimming usually. I rinse my hair in the showers, apply the elastasizer, drive home then have a proper shower as the gym ones are crap. Always leaves my hair feeling lovely, if a little fluffy!

Gotthetshirt23 · 08/12/2018 01:24

Love the colour! Very happy Smile

zucchinieggplant · 08/12/2018 06:45

I knew about today's as the bottle broke and leaked and stank the house out. I'm really hoping someone doesn't want theirs as I'd love to swap for this!!

Pinkgin50 · 08/12/2018 06:52

Love the colour too ! Have got a red in my collection but this looks like a deeper, richer red so will look forward to seeing it on when I paint my toenails with it later

FlipFlapBat · 08/12/2018 08:04

Not sure about today’s personally although it’s nice to get a nail polish. I just have so many shades of red that this is less of a treat or interesting new thing for me to try.

Luvacuppatea · 08/12/2018 08:09

Love the colour - will definitely use this 😀

panicovernow · 08/12/2018 08:10

Yay I'd been hoping for a polishSmileparty nails for me tonight

tellmewhenthespaceshiplands · 08/12/2018 08:11

Grip of a milkmaid Smile Brilliant!

Love today's as I feel this colour is more "grown up " than the sparkly novelty shades we've had in the last few years.

CupoBlood · 08/12/2018 08:13

Love that it is subtly glittery but as there's been 3 red ones in the last two boxes I might be redded out Grin

mrpoopybutthole · 08/12/2018 08:20

Love the colour, very festive.
I'm so glad I got the calendar & found this thread. My husband left me unexpectedly 4 weeks ago (sorry for the downer on such a nice thread). It's really devastated me & knocked my confidence. Opening these little gifts each day & seeing what everyone else thinks is so nice, kinda cheers me up a bit each day when I wake up ☺️

latedecember1963 · 08/12/2018 08:29

Oh, this is a good colour. I'm selecting and decorating our Christmas tree today and my hands always feel a bit battered afterwards so I'll treat myself to a hand pampering session this evening while watching Strictly.

£12.00 on the M&S website, which brings our total so far to £77.91.
This means we have covered the cost of our £35.00 spend and £35.00 to buy the calendar.

Almostthere15 · 08/12/2018 08:33

@mrpoopybutthole (presume the name is inspired by ex) it really is a great isn't it. I think a lot of us have had a tough year one way or another and the calendar is a bit of a treat. I'm not sure about the phrase 'self-care' but if it applies to anything this must be it! I hope you're starting to heal

redfragglebiker · 08/12/2018 08:34

Not over fussed about th colour of the polish tbh. I prefer neutrals or really deep colours like navy, oxblood or forest green. Will probably swap this out or flog it on eBay tbh.

MysweetAudrina · 08/12/2018 08:34

I don't really use nail varnish as I get a regular file and polish done on my toes and I love an aul chew on my finger nails so they don't really appreciate varnish. I do like the colour though as it is very rich and nice for winter months. I might bring it with me to the beauticians and ask them too use it instead of one of their own.

latedecember1963 · 08/12/2018 08:41

mrpoopybutthole , glad the calendar is bringing you some cheer during what must be a grim time. 💐

Howaboutthisone · 08/12/2018 08:44

Really like this colour and will put it on later ready for going out for a meal with DH. Really hoping that it's a good one as polishes generally chip within minutes on me.

MeetOnTheSIedge · 08/12/2018 08:46

A good one for me, I use nail polish a lot and am always in search of the perfect red, I prefer this shimmer to glitter. I tried a little just now and it seems highly pigmented. I took my last polish off a couple of days ago and did my cuticles so I'm good to go with it later today.

BettyFilous · 08/12/2018 08:49

The nail colour is good, but I switched to LED gel polishes a few months ago so will probably not use this - unless I get the clear LED polish you can mix with your standard polishes.

MeetOnTheSIedge · 08/12/2018 08:50

Oh and I put the elasticiser on an hour ago so will see what happens with that shortly.

Mrpoopybutthole, I'm glad the calendar is bringing you some much needed cheer. The same happened to a friend of mine at the start of the year, it has been very hard Flowers

ThePortugueseTart · 08/12/2018 08:51

MrPoopyButtHole (which is exactly what your ex sounds like) keep being kind to yourself and allow yourself time to heal.
I’m never keen on the nail varnishes they put in the calendars but I think my 14 year old might like it!

Chrysanthemum5 · 08/12/2018 08:52

@mrpoopybutthole I'm glad the calendar is helping Thankshave an un-mumsnetty hug (and I love the username Grin)

I think today's is the perfect Christmas nail polish so I'm very pleased with it
