Totally loved today's gift - especially the glittery pot. But my poor DD was disappointed - she was so sure a glittery pot meant something for her, not for me.

I've started to notice lines on the décolletage so this will be welcome - let's see if it works

tellmewhenthespaceshiplands · 03/12/2018 15:37

Last year one of my pits was virtually empty (the Filogra mask I think). I emailed M&S to inform (not complain!) and they sent me a £5 e-gift card! Smile

tellmewhenthespaceshiplands · 03/12/2018 15:38

Aaaggghhh pots not pits, dammit!

recovery18 · 03/12/2018 15:38

The stila lip colour was amazing and I have bought loads since so a good loss leader for them I reckon. I would never have tried that brand otherwise.

Same with Neals Yard Bee Lovely hand Cream from 2 years ago which I use daily and buy lorry loads of. Also bought full size Emma Hardie Moringa Balm ( although I have moved on to another product) and I also buy Rituals Sakura body cream after getting it in a calendar. DD would have bought the dragons blood if she could afford it Xmas Grin

Doilooklikeatourist · 03/12/2018 15:47

@countrygirl and @tellmewhen , we’ve checked the boxes next door to 3 , nothing there , so I’m suggesting a polite email to them , and see how that ends up

chemenger · 03/12/2018 15:50

I bought a set of the Stila lip colours as part of the order to qualify for the calendar this year. I’ve also bought a lot of the Ameliorate body lotion and the Moringa balm. I am exactly the target audience for the calendar, I would probably never have stumbled across those products if left to my own devices.

recovery18 · 03/12/2018 16:02

Oh I couldn't stand the stench of the Ameliorate body lotion. Maybe just mine was smelly then? Or it just didn't agree with my sensitive nose Grin

chemenger · 03/12/2018 16:19

I don’t really like the smell of the body lotion but it has cleared up a patch of eczema on my leg that several prescriptions couldn’t shift. I’m reluctant to stop using it after years of trying useless things! The smell isn’t noticeable after it has sunk in (I hope).

ihatethecold · 03/12/2018 16:34

I bought the sleep cream and the the della mascara after last years offerings. My dh has bought me the blood orange perfume for xmas this year..

The ameliorate cream is rank though. stinks...

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 03/12/2018 16:53

Yes please Late. I was quite excited by the pot, then I had to go and get the magnifying glass to read it! Glad its not just me who saves these things Magpie :)

ForgetMeLots · 03/12/2018 17:24

Well I like candles and would appreciate one to go with a bubble bath, face mask etc.

I’d also like some lip liner, lipstick and nail varnish too so I guess we’re all different and hopefully the calendar will have something for us all.

HarrySnotter · 03/12/2018 17:36

Oh I'm so pleased I found this thread!

I'm a wee bit disappointed so far. Tried the neck cream today and it brought me out in a rash! Remaining positive for the best 21 days though! Wink

Chrysanthemum5 · 03/12/2018 17:48

I like the offerings so far. I've tried the eye cream yesterday and today and it seems to have had an effect. Tried the décolletage cream today so too early for any difference but it feels nice

Twisique · 03/12/2018 17:51

I am hoping for gold glittery nail varnish, like the silver one last year. Also the perfume last year was lovely!

chemenger · 03/12/2018 18:01

I can confirm now that the Ameliorate cream does not smell nice even after sinking in. This thread prompted me to use it on a patch of dry nasty skin on my wrist (allergic to my fitbit) and it stinks. I never noticed on my leg because its further from my nose! It does however sort out dodgy dry skin.

ThePortugueseTart · 03/12/2018 18:30

I’m not familiar with Day 3’s potion but happy to give it a go tonight.
I’ve applied the eye cream for the last couple of days and really like.
DoILookLikeATourist I emailed last year as I got aduplicate in one of my boxes. £5 gift voucher emailed to me.
I’d like a good night cream and a lip colour.
I’m sharing it with my 14 year old daughter so a nail varnish and mascara for her would be good!

IJustWantToWearDungarees · 03/12/2018 19:56

Love the calendar so far. I definitely like getting to try products I wouldn't normally buy. Eye cream feels great and I love the sparkly décolletage pot!

Last year my absolute favourite was the perfume - DH bought me the body lotion in the same scent for my birthday. It's just gorgeous.

I actually really liked the Ameliorate and bought a big tube of it! And the Gatineau stuff was fabulous.

Am very happy so far! 😊

AtSea1979 · 03/12/2018 20:06

I used the shower gel for the first time this morning (yes I am that scruffy!) I was disappointed by the quality. I usually use joules or Molton brown and I find them much nicer. Will use it though so not a total waste.
Loving the eye cream and throat cream.
So far I’m really impressed and hoping it’s more things like that than makeup.

Skinfulnappies46 · 03/12/2018 20:26

Loving calendar so far!. A candle is lovely but it’s not a beauty product so would be a bit non plussed to find it in a beauty advent calendar..

SlowNorris · 03/12/2018 20:31

Candles are always welcome

SlowNorris · 03/12/2018 20:33

What is the perfume called that was popular from last year?

YouWereRight · 03/12/2018 20:41

It was Shay and blue in Blood Orange.

I like today's, and I'll definitely enjoy using it. Just a shame the brand couldn't put something different to their input in the summer box. But still definitely a thumbs up.

SlowNorris · 03/12/2018 20:55

Thank you, I’ll give it a sniff next time I’m there.

I hope there’s a Stila lip liner!

latedecember1963 · 03/12/2018 21:00

I usually have to leave the house early on Tues, Weds & Thurs so will be later in the day on those days, but I'll post the daily value and the cumulative total each day. The cumulative total for the first 3 days is £23.23.
Last year's Ameliorate lotion did have an odd smell but it did wonders for the dry winter skin on my legs.

LascellesMoustache · 03/12/2018 21:02

Interesting reading everyones opinions on product size etc. I don't mind a small product if its an expensive item but agree the box size could reflect the size if the product a bit more.

How old is (roughly) everyone on the thread? Im mid 30s and wondering if im not the target market for this calendar as so far we have 2 products aimed at wrinkles/lines? Not saying an eye cream can't be used for anyone but probably appeals to people with more aged skin I expect.
