@queen, every year I am surprised to realise that I've bought at least one or two items from Wallis. The stores aren't appealing, they're clearly NOT in the slightest bit stylish and yet... every year, somehow, I pick up a few bits that are great. Most recently it was a easy-to-wear dress that I have been wearing under a jacket for work but that I feel comfortable wearing outside of the office too. The year before that was a lovely off white handbag. Not something I'd normally use, but for a very hot few days it worked well.

Bloominglovely · 05/12/2018 16:42

She is finally wearing trousers and looks great! It would be nicer with a black tee instead of a white one and her hair in a high ponytail with some lovely earrings but she still looks great!!!!

ItsJustTheOneSwanActually · 05/12/2018 16:42

I think she looks fab today. Really smart and stylish. Love those trousers.

I agree Laiste. I'm tall and have always loved wide leg trousers - obv a fair bit fatter than Kate, but I find them v flattering.

Yesterday was the party for RAF families who's family members are serving in Cyprus. Today was the trip to Cyprus to meet the serving personnel. My DH should have been at the latter but had to come back to the UK early. As usual I wasn't invited to the former. Oh well maybe next time.

UrsulaPandress · 05/12/2018 16:48

Honestly you lot are never satisfied 😂

mikado1 · 05/12/2018 16:53

I think Kate looks great, love the Navy with green. Pointed heels... Do you think she got the shoes right? What other options are there? Asking for a friend 😋

IPromiseIWontBeNaughty · 05/12/2018 16:55

Article in the UKs Greek Cypriot paper if anyone interested.

Were the party invitations by raffle Grumble? Bad luck you weren't able to go!

owlshooting · 05/12/2018 17:12

Kate just looks wonderful today. Happiness just shines out of her. She has such a gorgeous smile and engages in such a genuine way with people.

Becles · 05/12/2018 17:24

Kate's really upped her game when interacting with the public since Megahn came on the scene.

user1457017537 · 05/12/2018 17:29

Why were you not invited “Grumble”

user1457017537 · 05/12/2018 17:30

Sorry fail in typing meant t put *

TSSDNCOP · 05/12/2018 17:34

Ever since Katherine has had a Louis she seems to have hit the happiness groove. Maybe it’s just she feels like she’s hit the life jackpot, but she just seems to be loving life.

I love her in trousers, but agree the top isn’t lifting the outfit as much as it would if it too had been green or navy. Great try though!

TipseyTorvey · 05/12/2018 17:52

That green jacket also comes in magic markle forest green and I really want one!!! It's only $570 or so, surely I can justify it if I sell one of the DC.......

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/12/2018 18:09

I prefer the forest green or the plum but I guess the olive was a nod to the army. Kate is such a literal dresser!

No, when you meet a Royal you're meant to call them Your Royal Highness (or whatever) the first time you address them, then after than you go to Ma'am (to rhyme with jam) or Sir.

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/12/2018 18:33

Unless it's HM and then it's Your Majesty.

I live the trousers. Hate hate the jacket. It's so dated.

GrumbleBumble · 05/12/2018 18:49

It was personnel from a couple of bases (as far as I can tell) and DH is a reserve not based at one of them. Also it was people who would be separated at Christmas and he was due back before Christmas anyway. But he is also really rubbish at taking these type of opportunities. (He could have been on duty at W+K's wedding and H+M and at the Olympics but it doesn't appeal to him so he never volunteers). He keeps promising me he will put is on the list for a garden party invite but he hasn't yet.

GrumbleBumble · 05/12/2018 18:51

when you meet a Royal you're meant to call them Your Royal Highness (or whatever) the first time you address them, then after than you go to Ma'am (to rhyme with jam) or Sir unless you are my DH and you call the DoE "mate". So not meeting the Cambridges may have save him from a one way trip to the tower.

Paradyning · 05/12/2018 19:05

Shoe wise she should have worn her blocky heels. I think they would have looked great with the wide legs

YearOfYouRemember · 05/12/2018 19:19

Thank you Tracey, Spudlet and Queen.
