Kate looks fab.🙂

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 05/12/2018 14:29

Kate looks sensational today. So smart and modern.

I think I'm the only person on this style who actively likes PW's style dh dresses quite similarly Blush

WindyWednesday · 05/12/2018 14:41

I lik PW style.

itswinetime · 05/12/2018 14:42

Kate looks great today I think there is a definite widening of the trouser legs which actually suits her as we said on a previous said a really skinny leg doesn't always work. Great look but then I liked the tartan skirt and boots yesterday Blush I'm happy to see anything that isn't a coat dress though.

itswinetime · 05/12/2018 14:44

Stand corrected Queen was right it's a straight leg.

The jacket / bag / shoes are a bit match for me.

Also her hair is odd.

chumsnet · 05/12/2018 15:02

The jacket colour is lovely on Kate but I hate the tricksy cut at the back which really doesn’t flatter her - it makes her bum look really low-slung. A Chanel style (perhaps from Massimo Dutti or Boden to save our taxes) or a Goat blazer would have worked better. I wish she would embrace bolder jewellery - Kate has the ideal long neck and long hair combination for chandelier earrings.

The trousers are fabulous. If even the DoC is in flares, it looks like the era of skinnies is finally over.

TracyBeakerSoChristmas · 05/12/2018 15:04

Love the outfit. The trousers look palazzo pant style.

chumsnet · 05/12/2018 15:05

Brown suede shoes with a navy suit makes you a style rebel if you’re a man. PW pushing the envelope there 😂

I hate Prince Harry’s most recent clothes. Too short and too tight, and the wrong colour.

GrumbleBumble · 05/12/2018 15:06

I assume Charles with fast jet o we to the USA. We forget because post Concorde us mere mortals can't do it but you arrive before you've left thanks to the time difference.

CrookedMe · 05/12/2018 15:08

I'm not sure visiting an RAF base is really a chandelier earring type of event though Grin

chumsnet · 05/12/2018 15:11

I thought it was a Christmas party Crooked? I’d rather Chandelier earrings than Christmas jumpers.

chumsnet · 05/12/2018 15:14

Michelle Obama rocks daytime chandelier earrings. Also the statement necklace. Love the look but am too short, fat, and old to wear it. I’d look like Cinderella’s stepmum.

Spudlet · 05/12/2018 15:18

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I mean, she looks great but my skinny jeans!

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/12/2018 15:18

Speaking of Christmas jumpers, I bet William has one just like Mark's in Bridget Jones!

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/12/2018 15:19

Don't worry @Spudlet, I don't think we'll ever see Kate in anything other than skinnies. And with legs like hers, who can blame her?

SenecaFalls · 05/12/2018 15:21

Charles is definitely there. I just saw him enter the cathedral. Also Rania of Jordan.

Spudlet · 05/12/2018 15:24

[Hyperventilates into a paper bag] Grin

I do like her trouser outfit though, she's slim enough to carry off flappy trousers without looking like a galleon under full sail (projecting much?). And it's far more modern - down with coat dresses, this is much better. Very Marklesque too, as others have said - perhaps a bit of fashion messaging in action? I do think Kate is very aware of the messages she can send with her clothes, which I find fascinating as it's such a traditional thing for Royal
ladies to do.

SenecaFalls · 05/12/2018 15:27

Also, the trousers are navy. Another Markle touch? Smile

BlingLoving · 05/12/2018 15:29

yy to down with coat dresses. I don't mind them for things like remembrance and church services where conservative and practical and warm are all important, but there's a reason Camilla wears them and looks great - they are age appropriate! Kate wearing that blue one at the wedding of friends a few weeks ago had be in despair. Is she in her 30s or 80s? I just desperately hoped she had some tiny slinky satin number on underneath that she'd be exposing once the photographers were out of the way and the dancing was on.

katekat383 · 05/12/2018 15:45

Prince William’s style is also attractive. He looks good and has a nice smile.

user1457017537 · 05/12/2018 16:11

I dislike mismatched separates and prefer suits personally. I think it is a mistake for DOC and DOS to start copying each other’s style. They are both distinctive in their own way and DOS can rock severe tailoring whereas DOC has a much “prettier” rather than edgy look.

CrookedMe · 05/12/2018 16:13

I think suits are having a bit of a moment (Beyoncé and JayZ in the Apeshit video, etc) but I still think they look dated. Separates look much more like a look that has taken some consideration to put together, not just dragged off the peg in Principles.

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/12/2018 16:25

Principles? Ah there's a blast from the past. Along with Wallis...

I like the idea of Kate in beautifully tailored wide leg trousers, (didn't someone up-thread suggest that very thing just recently ...? hmmmm) and thought i was going to love the look when i clicked the link. However I don't love it. Is it the grungy green triple whammy (bag shoes jacket) with navy blue? The saggy bum shot? Not sure. Perhaps if she tries again it will look better. A simple polo neck in whatever colour and navy courts to match the trousers might have been better?

I believe there's wide leg trousers out there to suit everyone. I'm a classic (busty) hour-glass and lots of clothes that work on most other people often look foul on me. But WLTs look unexpectedly good! Really slimming and lengthening on the thigh and bum. (Kate doesn't need that obvs).
