So it would seem that disgruntled courtiers blabbed to Charles biographer Robert Jobson and now he is selling off any stories to the highest bidder. Plus it is all being spun by the tabloids to make even more of a story.

If the stories about the grey men are true then it makes me think they're another argument for abolishing the monarchy. It isn't fair that the royals get all the privilege and riches they do on account of being born into the right family. But it isn't particularly fair on them to not have the freedom to live their lives the way they want to and be dictated to by a bunch of faceless white men who are determined to keep them 50 years behind the rest of the world!

I really enjoyed that interview with CM. She looks incredible and obviously is a really lovely person. PW really landed on his feet marrying Kate.
As for all the outlandish gossip, there does seem to be an agenda. It's either rather sinister or the tabloids are just desperate to generate readers.
About MM being 'black', this always seems a bit odd to me. She is half white, this makes her equally white as she is black. So why is she always described as 'black' by people who want to see racism in every single negative comment? Why not describe her as 'white'? It's a total nonsense.

@owlshooting I think you may need to read a bit more about the history of race relations.

I went to school with Viola Grosvenor. She might well have grown up since then, but she was a bully at school. I think it's nice Harry could marry who he wanted, even if she is American. I think a lot of the issues with courtiers are just different cultures.

I should add it was prep school that Viola was a bully. So she's probably learnt empathy and kindness by now.

I don't know anything about Viola but I read an interview with her older sister Edwina (married to Dan Snow) and was fairly impressed by her work in prison reform.

She has probably just wanted to cut through loads of unnecessary red tape / protocol / tradition. The grey men's raison d'etre is to uphold all of that.

Meghan "I have an idea about maybe scenting the chapel; its something we sometimes do in the US"

Courtier "i'm sorry that won't be possible"

Meghan "okay no worries, was just a thought"

regurgitated 6 months later on a slow news day and embellished to further discredit Meghan.
