Meghan thanked the Press for coming to the Hub
She totally gets how the media works.
It’s given a boost to the Community cookbook just before Christmas. ( I have one in my Amazon baskets).

She is completely engaged in her first major project in the UK.
I’d like to see her tackle period poverty; it’s an issue in the UK as well as developing countries.
I think Meghan’s approach could be an incredible force for good.
Don’t forget Diana ripped up the rule book too.

I hope that Meghan helps William and by extension Kate lighten up his attitude towards the press.
I suspect Meghan & Kate do not see each other that often; despite being neighbours.

How could we have missed this one.

My mother was boasting that a grandson of one of her friends is a Prada et al model. He is the same age as my DD (uni age) - there's no way I'd be shoving my girl onto the catwalk and into that world, even though she is a taller version of Emma Watson.

@CurlyWurlyTwirly I'd like to see Meghan tackle period poverty too. Her article about it in Time was thoughtful and well written. We must be due an announcement re her charity patronages early in the new year?

Maxima is absolutely fabulous in that red dress, just stunning. Agree with whoever said she could just wear a tiara and a smile but that might raise eyebrows at a state banquet!!

@VanillaSugary Yes, it's a bizarre world to put a young person into. These days it seems you only have to have royal connections to make it on the catwalk. Kitty Spencer is very striking but I never got Amelia Windsor's appeal and Olympia "of Greece" is quite plain, but clearly has a very pushy mother. I think Charlotte Casiraghi did some modelling when she was younger but she's genuinely beautiful. She and her mother seem to only wear Chanel (the hardship!) so maybe they have some sort of deal going with Karl.

OMG Max has set me up for the day. That coat is divine - I just want to stroke it. Beautiful sheen. But that Singapore outfit is breathtaking esp. with that tiara etc. She is simply magnificent.

Max always has such a radiant smile! She can carry off bling and bright colours. This is a woman that should never wear grey.

@Clionba I mean don't get me wrong, Amelia is an attractive young woman, but there's no way she'd be on the catwalk if it wasn't for her surname!

It's like the bright young things who appear on the cover of the evening standard magazine. You wonder who they are and inevitably they have a famous parent. See also Brooklyn Beckham's career as a "photographer"...

She's very pretty. However, it does seem that certain jobs require connections!

I agree with the faff of shopping online for clothes, and I resent the hike in prices to deal with reverse logistics. I don't mind ordering from John Lewis as I can pick up/return via my local Waitrose store. I also find it hard to buy clothes to suit my figure: size 12 hourglass. Stuff is either too voluminous, which makes me look huge, or straight up and down not allowing for curves. I'd love to find a couple of brands I could loyally stick to.

You get the feeling that Max has really, really embraced the royal collection of tiaras and for that, I vote we make her our patron saint. None of this 'only wearing a tiara to state occasions' nonsense. In fact, I suspect when she has her bigger hats on it's because there's a tiara underneath. Love Max!

Max is just glorious. Something about her attitude that makes all her outfits look great.
I can see that the berry suit on Kate is a bit dated, but I love seeing her in a flippy skirt and dressing a bit younger rather than channelling the queen mother in a coat dress.
