I'm watching it right now distant, its actually very good,I'm not British ,so maybe my knowledge is not that great to start with. lots i didn't know about Louis mountbatten, the queen mother, prince charles pre camilla.

i think kate just looks exhausted.she looks fine to me,not older or younger than her actual age, great figure after 3 kids i must add!

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 17/11/2018 19:12

Why are you being goady @Batteriesallgone ?
This is a popular thread because everyone makes the effort to be polite.

I know Kate has had a baby. “Just 2 years” means exactly that. She has had a baby every 2 years and has not aged as much between her other babies.

mathanxiety · 17/11/2018 19:19

Felipe of Spain graduated from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service, so his accent is not surprising.

mathanxiety · 17/11/2018 19:20

DD2 almost lost her heavy Chicago accent there Wink

Batteriesallgone · 17/11/2018 19:32

I don’t think I’m being goady I’m expressing shock that on mumsnet which I expect to be a supportive website toward mums, there’s horrible comments about a mother aging drastically over the period where she had a baby.

We have no idea what she might have gone through having Louis.

Also her lines have nowt to do with the dress so I don’t think it was me that started that little derail.

mathanxiety · 17/11/2018 19:44

MM should not wear bright red either - it would swamp her complexion. She should wear burgundy too.

Crimson and rust YYY.

Also dark raspberry.

Bright red - all you see is the dress and a washed out complexion

The price tag wasn't the only thing wrong here.

QueenOfTheAndals · 17/11/2018 19:46

The Monegasques have been out and about. Not sure why Caroline insisted on keeping her sunglasses on indoors...

Agree with @mathanxiety that berry tones look wonderful on Meghan, especially with a matching lip.

Princess Caroline is channeling Anna Wintour.

You never see any royal ladies wearing a bright or a dark lip colour.
Perhaps as well as nail varnish; they have to have subdued make up.
I wonder what fashion rules will be relaxed once the Queen dies.
Lots more trousers for the ladies, Kate back in wedges, red lipstick, burgundy nails.

QueenOfTheAndals · 17/11/2018 20:04

I've seen Kate in a dark pedicure with sandals. I'm starting to think these "rules" are just made up by the media - HM was young once and wore red lippie!

Queen Letizia does not need any demure fashion rules.
I think she looked particularly chic in 2015 with her sharp bob.

Incidentally; i just came across a blog which closed just 3 days ago. But there are tons of fab photos on Letizia’s Outfits

Princess Charlotte has her own blog

Those tiny frocks are adorable!

Leti is smoking hot there Curly!

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 17/11/2018 20:24

Just gone down a rabbit hole, but there are some adorable Spanish children’s clothes around.

Everything Kate dresses Charlotte in; the Queen could have worn 90 years ago. You would definitely not be able to date the Royal Children by their clothes.

Will be interesting to see how Meghan dresses the new baby ( well once it’s out of babydros). Is there a minimalist baby range. Something Scandinavian perhaps?

PawneeParksDept · 17/11/2018 20:25

To be honest though even though I know it's a different kettle of fish I'd be fuming if a grown adult had a blog going cataloguing all the clothes my child has been pictured in. I mean if you were a civilian you'd have grounds to complain to the police. I get where William is coming from in that respect.

user1457017537 · 17/11/2018 20:37

I believe Charlotte’s outfits are by Bonpoint, a traditional French company.

QueenOfTheAndals · 17/11/2018 20:37

Yes if the bloggers were going around doing the photographing themselves, but they're just using photos that are already in the press.

OP posts:
queenofarles · 17/11/2018 21:01

Not Bonpoint, I dress my daughters from Bonpoint never seen anything Charlotte wore from there, Charlotte clothes are very traditional , I think it's mostly from a brand called amaia, and some other Spanish brand that I can't remember ,

Pupsiecola · 17/11/2018 21:01

Why don't the royal wear nail polish on their fingers? Is that a "rule"? They don't even seem to wear clear. Not that anyone has to: I don't (sometimes clear or a sheer pastel). But they just never do, despite being well groomed/dressed up to the nines.

owlshooting · 17/11/2018 21:24

They do, it's just French manicure or very pale.

PrincessCarolyn · 17/11/2018 21:26

A while back Charlotte Tilbury released three royal-themed lipsticks, The Queen, The Duchess and Legendary Queen. There's a review here which compares them to actual lipstick colours worn by the royals and yes, the Queen has worn reds and bright pinks in the past.

I was tempted by The Duchess but it's only available online and quite a few of the reviews said it was much more orange/coral than it appeared in photographs, so I didn't risk it as I really can't wear corals.

Clionba · 17/11/2018 21:29

I remember Diana having brightly coloured nails. I've seen a picture of HM back in the fifties with pink nails. I think they mostly avoid it because it's noticeable if it chips.

VanillaSugary · 17/11/2018 21:38

@queenofarles Bonpoint is so expensive!

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 17/11/2018 22:15

@PawneeParksdept thanks so much!! on my Christmas list!!
love love love all things Mitford Gin

QueenOfTheAndals · 17/11/2018 22:24

@VanillaSugary I saw a plain white babygro on there for nearly £100. It would have to be vomit/poop repellent, stain proof and self-cleaning for that price!
