I’m sorry I posted my pic earlier. I was a bit shocked.
I like seeing old photos of Diana, as I was a big fan. In context (of 20 years ago); they are fine.
However seeing her the same age as her sons & daughters in law is very disconcerting.
I suspect she will start fading away as people who remember her clearly start dying off.
I think the biggest sea change will be when the Queen dies. I think we will all feel rudderless for a while. Will be a huge test for Prince Charles, as there’s at least 3 generations who have known no other monarch.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 17/11/2018 11:59

Glad we saw a glimpse of the Duchesses at the Royal Foundation event.
I’m a bit confused; is it a public or private event? So photos would be expected.
Meghan looks utterly radiant. She (fingers crossed) appears to be having a good pregnancy.
Agree with PP, Kate looks better in darker reds.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 17/11/2018 12:06

@Queen
Following on from your YouTube links; I saw this of

They were absolutely fine, but cannot imagine Kate or William on a chat show. However they did tape a segment for the One Show. So where does the celebrity/ royal line blur.... (again)

user1457017537 · 17/11/2018 12:36

Is that an official Instagram account showing those creepy photos. Surely not ...

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 17/11/2018 12:44

I wish Meghan would wear more colours. I think she would look stunning in the bright red that Kate was wearing last night.
I would love to see them go a mad & wear something leopard/zebra print for an evening occcasion.
I can imagine Max pulling it off. (Wearing it not taking it off)

miri1985 · 17/11/2018 12:52

Was catching up on the last thread and the DM now seem to have removed the article and photos of Violet Vestey leaving Prince Charles' party

Clionba · 17/11/2018 12:54

I agree, Tracy Meghan would look gorgeous in that bright red dress that Kate wore. I seem to remember Kate wore an animal print coat during one or more pregnancy.

GrumbleBumble · 17/11/2018 13:06

user no that is not an official account.

Spudlet · 17/11/2018 13:07

They're somewhat ghoulish, those photoshopped pics, aren't they? It must be a bit of a headfuck for W & H if they see them - knowing that someone who almost certainly never met their mum did this. It's like their personal grief for a real person is somehow overtaken by people grieving for an image, an idea. I hope they don't see them.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 17/11/2018 13:08

Meghan would look fabulous in clear; bright colours as she has dark hair and also olive skin. Emerald; Violet; Scarlet; Magenta
Whereas Kate really suits muted colours, especially all shades of (wine) red. Although she is in love with blue.

Agree with pp, a leopard skin coat slung over a black dress would look awesome on Meghan. I think it could look Brassy on Kate. I wasn’t keen on her pregnancy animal print dress.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 17/11/2018 13:14

Kate has aged a lot, since she last wore the Preen in Canada 2 years ago.
I know she has had a busy couple of days, and is tired; but her forehead lines are deep. I suspect she has stopped the Botox and is just ageing gracefully. However he is only 36, so I am a bit surprised at her lines. She probably smoked quite a bit more than we realised.

That mahoooosive necklace Camilla is wearing on the previous page - it's actually 2 necklaces worn together. One has 3 strands and one has 2.

It belonged to the QM and can be worn together or separately.

Incidentally there is a website called the Royal Order of Sartorial Splendour which is a fab daily fashion site for all Euro Royals. (orderofsplendor.blogspot.com)

And the woman who does that also runs The Queens Vault who updates all jewellery worn every day by both the Queen and Camilla. It is absolutely fabulous. (queensjewelvault.blogspot.com)

Clionba · 17/11/2018 13:26

I love that website! It's brilliant! I also really like the jewel vault.
Kate is only 36. At least she's not going mad for the fillers and lip expanders.

Batteriesallgone · 17/11/2018 13:31

How old is Louis? Kate is less than a year postpartum, right? With three kids?

I’m confused as to how you expect her to look, Curly.

mrscampbellblackreturns · 17/11/2018 13:33

Kate will have had to lay off the botox whilst pregnant and breastfeeding. I suspect she will start back on it once she has finished breastfeeding.

I think she looks lovely in the red.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 17/11/2018 14:31

I’m not expecting Kate to look a particular way.
As I saw 2 pictures of Kate side by side in the same dress, I thought she had aged a lot in just 2 years and commented as such.
There have been rumours of Botox & smoking. These are her choices.

Haworthia · 17/11/2018 15:57

She looks older in the second photo because she’s thinner. When she’s a little bit fuller in the face she looks so much prettier.

SenecaFalls · 17/11/2018 15:59

King Harald's American accent

He spent part of his childhood in the US when his family was exiled during World War II.

Pupsiecola · 17/11/2018 16:38

Was the footage of the Cambridges on The One Show actually aired?

WindyWednesday · 17/11/2018 16:40

I’d like to see that as well.

QueenOfTheAndals · 17/11/2018 16:43

@SenecaFalls I knew that, but it's amazing that he's kept the accent, over 70 years later.

The Grimaldis all sound American too but I guess it's not surprising, considering their mother.

'The Royal House of Windsor' on Netflix, is it any good?
Finished The Crown and Victoria. Need something new!

QueenOfTheAndals · 17/11/2018 17:38

I've been meaning to watch that one, although I don't think it has anything new to say.

Two years in which she has had a baby

Not really ‘just’ two years, is it
