Turquoise is lovely on Kate.

And yes, we see you Megs, reading our thread and adjusting your spending habits because of what we say...

Yes, recycled. Do they expect the Royals to throw their dresses away after one wearing? Ridiculous.

owlshooting · 15/11/2018 15:41

Violet Vestey looks ridiculous.

susurration · 15/11/2018 15:43

Thanks for explaining about Geldof being Irish. I didn't know that.

Kate's turquoise dress is beautiful today.

I've just been scrolling through Instagram and found this old photo of Diana and Charles. Never seen it before, does anyone know where it's from?

QueenOfTheAndals · 15/11/2018 15:46

I don't know who Lady Carolyn Warren is but that teal jumpsuit was certainly striking!

Kevin Spacey also has on honorary knighthood but has never been referred to as Sir Kevin, and as far as I know it's not been revoked

QueenOfTheAndals · 15/11/2018 15:47

Violet Vestey did look ridiculous but she also had a baby a week ago so kudos to her for getting out!

Are you saying that the One Show isn't live?? ShockShockShock

SenecaFalls · 15/11/2018 16:16

Generally speaking, Americans aren't supposed to use titles granted by foreign governments. It's okay to use an inherited title, such as the actor Christopher Guest, who is Baron Haden-Guest; he does have dual citizenship however. I don't think he and his wife Jamie Lee Curtis actually use the titles much even in the UK, although she once remarked jokingly that calling herself Lady Haden-Guest does get her treated well in restaurants.

VanillaSugary · 15/11/2018 16:18

I'd like to put it on record that Violet Vestey probably had no idea that the flash bulbs would make her top become transparent.

AdaColeman · 15/11/2018 16:35

Vi should have worn her hair up, and some huge sparkly earrings, then no one would have noticed her top.

IdaBWells · 15/11/2018 16:40

Lady Frederick Windsor wore a Catherine Walker gown at last night's party that was very similar to one Diana wore. Although the pink of Lady Windsor's makes it look literally like a dress you'd put a Barbie doll in. Not meaning to be unkind, that was the first impression it gave me!

QueenOfTheAndals · 15/11/2018 16:57

I remember Diana's black version of that dress! Her style got a lot sleeker and more sophisticated after she left Charles.

DontCallMeCharlotte · 15/11/2018 17:03

FML!

That dress worn by Violet Breasty Vestey is obscene!

Laiste · 15/11/2018 17:04

The private party 'lets hide from the press' thing ...

IMO if they want a big flashy do with no press pictures surely they would be better keeping it low key - no official public announcement - and have everyone arrive during the day in their normal clothes (at whatever palace they're holding it in). Everyone can change into the glad rags in private. Yes more hassle but it's not that often is it? It's not like they'd have to be putting people up on air beds in the lounge.

It would be so much better than this ''Yoo hoo everyone! We're having a fabulous party tonight but we don't want you to see us .... so ... bugger off with your cameras, ya?''

YearOfYouRemember · 15/11/2018 17:08

Please would someone help me as I'm puzzled. I would like to watch the programme some of you are talking about which appears to be about William and Catherine's early relationship. I can't recall it's name. Thank you very much.

owlshooting · 15/11/2018 17:09

I love that pink Catherine Walker gown!

owlshooting · 15/11/2018 17:11

Queen - Violet should have stayed home then! She does look obscene, and it is nothing to do with the flash. She's gone out braless in a see through top. End of.

BigGlasses · 15/11/2018 17:11

I can't imagine that Violet Vestey went out like that deliberately. It must be the bright flashes from the cameras. She is probably mortified.

Not so keen on Lady Fredrick Windsor's pink version of that dress, it looked better in black. Think it is the shade of pink is too 'baby pink' would look better in claret/burgandy or even fushia

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 15/11/2018 17:11

I remember that dress on Diana. It’s great too see a rewear of her clothes almost a quarter of a century later.

QueenOfTheAndals · 15/11/2018 17:16

Diana wore some stunning gowns in the mid-90s, which haven't really dated. Quite a contrast to her 80s outfits!

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 15/11/2018 17:16

I just found this YouTube video of the inside of Diana’s

QueenOfTheAndals · 15/11/2018 17:16

@owlshooting I said getting out, not getting THEM out Wink

Where are you all seeing this Vestey dress?! It's passed me by completely

AdaColeman · 15/11/2018 17:25

YearOfYouRemember There is a YouTube link to it near the top of page 22. (I hope that's the one you mean. Smile )
