I watched the documentary about the royal succession last night, so interesting. I’d forg all the ski photos, and now it’s so different. The harassment of Kate by the press,looked so scary.

Then we’d get lovely pictures from inside events without them having to let ‘press’ in.

I totally understand why they wouldn’t want a photographer present, but we all want pics and why not a few nice informal pics...

On the subject of attitude to the press, I wouldn't be surprised if Harry becomes more closed off once the baby arrives. It a natural instinct, surely.

Having watched the documentaries I’m not surprised William loathes the press. Imagine your girlfriend being called a whore - just to get a reaction.

As for that journalist calling William controlling - well what do you expect when the press behave so badly.

But it’s true the RF do need the press so a couple of agreed photos here & there would probably take the heat off.

Never knew that Edward VIII had fertility issues. So the Queen would have ended up Queen anyway but in 1970’s. That is if there was still a monarchy after Edward with his pro-German sympathies.

They don't even need a photographer inside the party just do what most people do take a photo all glamed up ready to leave and then put it on Instagram! All we want to see is the dress!

I know last night was a private event, but it was a bit of a tease seeing bits & pieces of outfits.

Just looking at Marie Antoinette’s jewels, her ring looks a bit like the Harry & Meghan cipher.

They do themselves no favours I think. One posed photo like Charles and camillia did would keep people happy they can control it they can release it. Everyone is happy instead by keeping everything top secret and hidden how long before the questions start who paid for the party? Who paid for the dresses? Ect,ect. They aren't playing the game well in my opinion. No one is asking for pics of Kate and Meghan doing the Macarena or William and Harry doing shots just some fashion shots to droul over it isn't much. Yes I maybe sulking but I think they are silly and mean now and I can only be won back with pictures or a wearing event

I agree wine. It's a symbiotic relationship. They cannot expect all one way traffic- to use the press for their own devices. There should have been one posed shot. Just like the Norwegians.

And it isn't just the press, considering the public purse finds them then the least they could do is release a photo or two!!
