Definitely not Nanny ( that’s Maria Borallo in upperclass circles)
I suspect it’s Granny for Carole and hopefully something cute like Granny Milla for Camilla.

itswinetime · 14/11/2018 22:41

@CurlyWurlyTwirly I agree I think there was a press agenda in the documentary and part of it was a push for more access that argument was part of it, I think. I agree there is more 2 it than one thing as has been said on here before William was exposed it seems to more of the dramas of the divorce and the press intrusion and manipulation which has it seems made him more introverted than Harry so definitely lots of factors I think it may have played a part in things though.

For the children's sake I hope they do follow the Cambridge's route I have no problem with the kids growing up in relative privacyas long as we get some cute shots every now and again.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 14/11/2018 22:41

Beatrice is doing earrings too!
I know what’s on my Christmas list. Diamond Chandeliers please!

Just had a quick look at the DM front page. There is a full length pic of Charles & Camilla. If we had seen any more of Kate & Meghan, they would have pushed Charles off the front page, and it is his big day after all.
(I just hope the press office take pity on us and post at least a few party shots in a couple of days time....)

Clionba · 14/11/2018 22:48

Ok, Beatrice wins Cake

SenecaFalls · 14/11/2018 22:51

I have read that Camilla's own grandchildren call her "GaGa". That may be what William's children call her as well.

TheCraicDealer · 14/11/2018 22:52

Love Beatrice's hair!

UrsulaPandress · 14/11/2018 22:57

Do you think it was part of the dress code? Jocking earrings?

CoachBombay · 14/11/2018 23:07

Beatrice has won first place with them bad boys! Lol

Regards William and the press, I think he has always kept them at arm's length, however I have heard from a friend of a friend he was apoplectic when the long range topless pictures of Kate were taken, like full on nuclear bomb gone off...so I think they cemented their grave at that point. They closed ranks on the press pretty sharpish from then on. To be fair I think any husband/partner/boyfriend/wife would be raging also.

Spudlet · 14/11/2018 23:12

When George was very little, I'm sure there was some awful story about a photographer camping out hidden in a car boot in order to try and get pictures of him playing in a park. Given the history with Diana, then Kate being hounded and then that sort of crap, I can't blame William for being keen to protect his family and perhaps not as open with the press as he might be. If someone was stalking my young child like that I'd be terrified, furious, and not inclined to extend the benefit of the doubt to any of their co-professionals.

Although the scowling might be just a reaction to the flash photography and trying not to be photographed squinting!

PawneeParksDept · 14/11/2018 23:15

Yes the pictures of George playing were published in Australia but not here

PawneeParksDept · 14/11/2018 23:18

I need to see the dresses 😢

They all seem to have gone for big earrings bar Eugenie

QueenOfTheAndals · 14/11/2018 23:21

Went looking on twitter for pics of tonight and spotted this charming tweet from Hatie Hopkins...

Urgh, I didn't know they'd been published. That is vile. I know there's a legitimate public interest in the RF, but no child asks to be born into that life, and everyone should have the right to a certain degree of privacy.

God, I'm slightly angry thinking of it and he's not my child! I'd be beyond furious if he was. No, I can't blame them for not wanting to be too friendly with the press - and maybe the journalists who complain about it need to have a look at their own profession and how their behaviour might have affected the situation.

Spudlet · 14/11/2018 23:23

Annnnd speaking of vile....

PawneeParksDept · 14/11/2018 23:36

That woman, you'd think being seriously unwell and then being successfully sued and having to sell her house would have taught her a few life lessons and some compassion but apparently not

itswinetime · 14/11/2018 23:44

What's the betting there is at least one article tomorrow (my money is on the dm) pitting the women against each other via their earrings.

Pupsiecola · 14/11/2018 23:48

I do agree re the press and the RF btw. I wasn't posting in defence of the press. It was just so glaringly obvious how things have changed, watching those 2 documentaries in quick succession. None of us can imagine the traumatic end to Diana's life and the documentary made of clear that PW especially held the press responsible. And that's without all the other stuff (the phone tapping goes back further than I realised and was discovered to be where some leaked information relating to PW had come from: they were trying to find the source by conducting tests amongst the outer circle apparently).

loveandstuffing · 15/11/2018 00:03

It looks like cherry blossom flowers from this angle?

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 15/11/2018 00:11

I’d love to see the dresses tomorrow but I bet we don’t.

Paradyning · 15/11/2018 02:10

It's clear that the RF need to press. Charles has been on and all out PR blitz these last two weeks or so.

They then throw out one measly picture of Charles and Camilla. Sorry Chaz that's just not going to cut it. One family picture was with you all it would take to placate the press (& us!).

It's a two way relationship. They can't continue to have it all one way to serve their purposes.

I think Camilla understands this and it's why the press corp love her.

Paradyning · 15/11/2018 02:42

Some better leaving pics here by photographer Mark Stewart in Twitter. Looks like princess Tatiana was there too. You never see her.
twitter.com/regaleyes/status/1062885841440333824?s=21

Also much better pic of Kate's dress.
And CP Mary has whopping earrings on too!

IdaBWells · 15/11/2018 02:43

Pupsiecola in the second part of the documentary it says that William promised Michael Middleton he would protect Catherine (or Kate as we know her but known as Catherine by family and William etc.).

You can’t blame the Princes for not wanting their wives and children traumatized in the way they witnessed their mum upset by the instrusive press (although she was a pro at manipulating them too).

Also Paradyning Camilla seems savvy enough to understand that getting the press on side is the best way for her to woo the British public into accepting her. She probably witnessed how easy it was for Diana to take the spotlight from Charles with a good photo opportunity. Camilla seems to have high emotional intelligence because anyone spending much time around her seems to fall under her spell, so I think Charles is right when he said in his recent document that she is a good listener.

Paradyning · 15/11/2018 02:47

I really don't like Kate's hair do it's very Margaret circa the Mustique days.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 15/11/2018 05:50

Princess Charlene and the twins have tea with Brigitte Macron.

Going back to the comments about press access. Interesting how pps have noted that Camilla gets the media relationship. She is a smart woman.
Charles engagement of Mark Bolland goes back more than 20 years and he used loads of his family to rehabilitate himself. Mark Bolland left the scene in 2002 and even testified against Charles; can’t remember the case but was in the documentary.

Camilla has stayed popular with the press because she gives them something to publish. A decent photo, or when permitted a quote. ( These off the cuff comments are all planned). It’s clear that the press need a story, they said it themselves. As we see even in the example of this thread, the media moves at the speed of light.

The Norwegian Royals totally get it and published one photo.
Kate is media savvy; her story is the way she coordinates the family and takes photos of the children for publication. I hope this Christmas they take one of all three kids, which is up to date. ( Just putting it out there.....)

Meghan has obviously taken Camilla’s lead. With her Hollywood / Instagram background she realises that she needs to give a good photo.
Now with the 2 seperate offices of William and Harry, William, despite the best efforts of Kate; William runs the risk of becoming the “ unpopular, controlling royal”. I completely get his desire to protect his children, and they should have to run the gamut of a wall of cameras. However, a photo taken by their own mother, at home is not going to scar them for life.
