Some new (I think) angles on the Sussex's and the Cambridge's tonight apologies if they are already posted

Yes I think Kate's make up is a bit off at the moment Meghan can go a bit heavy on the highlighter for me at times but overall it's a better look I think

Meghan is a fan of BELTS isn't she?

QueenOfTheAndals · 11/11/2018 21:28

William resembles Andrew in that last shot. But not Andrew in his youth but Andrew today!

Meghan wears a lot more make up than Kate. Lots of close ups
However being an actress, she has a lot more experience with professional make up artists.

Agree Kate needs a deeper nude lipstick and she should wear a brighter colour in the evenings.
She is tired and has slight bags and dark circles. Perhaps less eyeliner beneath her eyes would draw less attention to them.

She has definitely got more lined since her wedding.

I think it is the way William is standing, he looks like he has a bit of a pouch. I don’t think he has that usually though?

Paradyning · 11/11/2018 21:31

Meghan also has epic eyelash extensions or false lashes. It was really obvious on tour. And you can see it in close ups today.

Paradyning · 11/11/2018 21:33

Eyelashes

How have I never come across these threads before? Please may I join you?

I liked both Kate and Meghan's outfits at the Centotaph this morning, both perfect for the occasion.

Less sure about Meghan's dress this evening, the buttons just looked slightly peculiar and I'm not a fan of her 'acorn' hats. Loved Kate's green coat apart from the tights and I really hate the headbands that she's started wearing. Maybe it's me but I always feel that a lot of Kate's coats and dresses could do with being just an inch or two longer.

Agree with others that Kate's make up is very ageing.

CoachBombay · 11/11/2018 21:50

I think I'm going to go against the grain today and say, I couldn't fault Kate today at either event. I actually think her makeup and more sombre look is more fitting for the occasion.

I find that Kate through the years has learnt web and when not to smile if that makes sense. And yes she has aged since her wedding 7 years ago lol! I look about 10 years older and it's only been a year hahaha !!

I think Meghan needs to realise the gravity of some of the events she's attending but I'm sure it will come in time.

QueenOfTheAndals · 11/11/2018 21:51

I think Meghan has got good skin and wears a more glowy base. Kate's base is too dark and matte for her and I wonder if the smoking rumour is true, as she does look older than her years? The idea of her nipping round the back of the palace for a quick fag when the kids get on her nerves endears me to me though!

The Middletons seem to like their tans - Pippa and Carole often look like they've been hitting the sunbeds.

It has been said that Kate has used Botox in the past. But those forehead lines have got pretty deep in 7 years.
She needs to give up the smoking, if it’s true

AhoyDelBoy · 11/11/2018 22:05

The thread is moving too fast for me. With the time difference, when everyone else has finished posting for the night, I’m ready to put my two cents worth in, in the morning.
Queen your comments about Meghan’s makeup looking natural surprised me. I’ve seen a few photos from the weekend where her bronzer is really badly applied yet Kate never, or very rarely, seems to have really obvious bronzer or blusher 🤷🏼‍♀️

loveandstuffing · 11/11/2018 22:05

Sorry @CurlyWurlyTwirly but we have ALL got more lined in the past 8 years!

CoachBombay · 11/11/2018 22:06

I can't help but feel for Kate a bit, I'm also a woman who seems to have aged a lot on the last 5 years, I'm in my late twenties but everyone places me in my mid thirties 🤦 but yea perhaps it's the smoking should it be true and now the stopping of Botox. However I'd rather see her with a few more lines than botoxed up personally

AhoyDelBoy · 11/11/2018 22:06

Hadn’t read past first comment on first page, will catch up now on people’s makeup opinions Blush

Paradyning · 11/11/2018 22:07

God forbid she starts to look like Rania/Charlene/?Mathilde ( I know you persuaded me otherwise on this one Queen)

loveandstuffing · 11/11/2018 22:07

@QueenOfTheAndals There are photos of Kate smoking out there - not allowed to be published in British media - try googling some of the French/US sites.

itswinetime · 11/11/2018 22:07

I think if it's true Kate has had botox I would want a refund! I also think If she is a smoker that may explain a lot.

As for the whole smiling thing Kate was smiling today to the last one isn't a smile I know but I just like the shared look between the duchesses

Kate is a smoker and maintaining a size 6 figure on a 5 ft 10 frame — she’s never going to age as beautifully as Megan. Also, there is a very institutionally racist understanding amongst a lot of people (even in the media) that Megan can’t do anything right. No doubt that had Megan been looking serious there would have been speculation that she was unhappy about being in the balcony apart from the other royals. However, they are still keen to photograph her because her photos sell more overseas now than Kate’s do — she’s America’s princess. Over there, if recent press coverage is to be believed, the royal family begins and ends with Harry and Meghan!!

DreamingofSunshine · 11/11/2018 22:09

I'd like to join, you are my people!

I loved Kate's outfit this morning, thought it had a great vintage vibe.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 11/11/2018 22:12

Blatant placemarking.

mathanxiety · 11/11/2018 22:12

I loved Kate's outfits for all of the events too. I liked the dark tights with the coat.

She's approaching 40, a mother of three, and imo looks exactly her age.

(Off piste here, but I saw an article to the effect that Pippa's baby is named Arthur Michael William - if already posted, please disregard..)

BeautifulComicalThings · 11/11/2018 22:12

I adored Kate's plaited updo today. Also thought the military inspired outfit was pretty stunning. She's looking very queenly lately.

Megan will age differently to Kate also because of her heritage and racial background. My mother in law who is a lovely woman of Jamaican heritage often says jokingly "black don't crack" but when I mentioned this to my friend who is a plastic surgeons he explained that people of certain racial backgrounds don't have as much fat under the skin, so you never really see that youthful face fat going away. You always view them "the same" because it was never there to disappear of you know what I mean. So aging takes longer.

Husband is mixed race similar to Meghan in colour, and he doesn't look a day over 21 despite being many years older. He got ID'ed for alcohol the other day 😂
