• The Cambridges and Sussexes are at two Remembrance events this weekend the 10th/11th
• The Sussexes have the Royal Variety Performance on the 19th

Plus Prince Charles turns 70 on the 14th but we may not get photos of the event as he's having a private party.

Kettners was the wine bar / champagne place? I was more often to be found round the corner at Café Bohème. I have just realised I started going there when it opened; and it’s just celebrated 25 years.

Who knows @VanillaSugary, we may have all once been there on the same night! I'm sure I'd have spotted William though...

She's got actual stripper heels too, as in Perspex shoes! I remember seeing a photo of her wearing them with a very shirt dress a couple years ago. The British press would have a heart attack if Kate went out in an outfit like that!

Leti looks fantastic, though how she wears those heels bears me. I also love her in the bronze Zara pleated skirt. She does separates so well.

I picked up from various gossipy articles and documentaries over the years that William has a strong will and is stubborn (something I see as positive considering how Charles’ inability to know his own mind and assert his own will screwed up his life). He apparently will not be forced into anything and makes his own mind up. So taking his time to get married I’m sure had many factors such as wanting to make sure Kate understood the gravity of what she was undertaking etc. but I think he wanted to be sure he was making a free choice and it was the right choice. He saw so much fallout from bad marriages all around him obviously.

Ida - yes that’s what I think He was determined to be his own man and not to make the mistakes his parents did.

Mind you, he'd have to take a pretty spectacular wrong turn to go the way his parents did!

I would highly reccomend the Dior Exhibition. I saw it in Paris last year. There were queues round the block, even with tickets. It was stunning

Oh my god I love that jumpsuit. Have been looking for one like that with slim legs and a v neckline for ages. Why can't the JL own brand do such a simple style for £150? Also love the wrist bling. Can copy that more cheaply I reckon.

I will admit it was the best exhibition I have ever seen.
Despite living in France, I don’t go to Paris that often.
I will keep my eye out for more exhibitions.
A lot of them do go to Australia. A pp on an earlier Royal style thread spoke about seeing a Cartier exhibition in Canberra.

There's a BBC doc on Charles this evening to commemorate his 70th.

I know this isn’t strictly Royal s&b, but I love Emma Thompson wearing trainers to receive her Damehood. She just gets cooler with age!

Emma is just fabulous. And she got to keep Mr Willoughby too! Who, btw, was Mountbatten in The Crown!

Apparently she asked if she could kiss William!! She rocks...

Curly that must have been before I joined the threads. I did mention the Cartier exhibition a few threads ago, I really wanted to go but couldn’t unfortunately, again . Some of HMQ’s jewels were in the exhibition, would’ve been fabulous!

Emma Thompson rocks. Also she went to my school, well I went to hers ,as she left before I started, I should say so going back two threads that means I have very few degrees of separation now or something!

Curly I'm in France too and only half an hour or so from Paris but I rarely go in!! Must look to see if the Dior exhib is still on. Years ago I went to a Grace Kelly one.
