I had it in mind that Susannah Constantine (aka Trinny and Susannah) dated Prince Andrew back in the day, but it was actually Viscount Linley; they were together for 6 years.

Paradyning · 07/11/2018 18:21

That's right. He was with Susannah.

William also held a touch for Jecca Craig didn't he?

Imagine if there were no Spencer genes in the gene pool.....

QueenOfTheAndals · 07/11/2018 18:24

Apparently he fancied Jecca but then Kate wore that see through dress over pants for a modelling show, he saw her in a new light, and the rest is history...

I read before about Cressida and Isabella. Must have been a little awkward for the Windsor men, though I imagine they are so self assured of their royal status that they didn’t feel any awkwardness at all.

I doubt Isabella would have run baths for William. I hope he is nice to Kate, he gives me the impression of being pompous and self entitled though from reading about the wedding preparation, Harry is similar. And so is Charles. Perhaps it is hard not to be when you grow up with people bowing in reverence to you.

VanillaSugary · 07/11/2018 18:30

If you love Prince William, do NOT google "Jecca Craig Baby"

Wt actual ?

Paradyning · 07/11/2018 18:37

Off to google

OlennasWimple · 07/11/2018 18:38

Blimey, there are some scary websites out there, Vanilla

OlennasWimple · 07/11/2018 18:49

Talking of Mountbattens.... Have we covered the first same sex marriage in the extended Royal family? I love the velvet smoking jackets - but the socks!!!

QueenOfTheAndals · 07/11/2018 18:55

The Mail covered Jecca's baby and quite often if they know something they can't explicitly reveal they'll publish a random article about the subject instead, like those super injunction ones. Still, I can't imagine there's any truth in that rumour. Jecca and Kate are similar looking, aren't they?

OP posts:
QueenOfTheAndals · 07/11/2018 18:59

Love the velvet jackets @OlennasWimple but not so sure about the tartan trews! A shame none of the Windsors attended - isn't he one of Beatrice or Eugenie's godfathers? I'm sure they could've gone along, they aren't ones to usually decline an invitation!

OP posts:
QueenOfTheAndals · 07/11/2018 19:01

@Pupsiecola I thought Susannah dated Andrew too! But I'm not surprised to hear it was David Linley - she and his wife look a bit alike so maybe he has a type.

owlshooting · 07/11/2018 19:02

I don't understand - are they implying her baby was William's? Otherwise what is the controversy? Absolutely ridiculous if that is the implication.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 07/11/2018 19:04

@Queen
Are you saying the DM might be trying to allege Jacca’s baby is William’s?

I think William has kept Kate dangling for many years. She had to play a very long game to get him.
I’m sure they are happy now, but Kate & her mum are shrewd women.

OlennasWimple · 07/11/2018 19:10

There are websites that do allege that W is the father of Jecca's baby (some even said around the time of the Jecca wedding that Kate woudl insist on having a third baby to "re-cement" her position as wife Grin )

Queen - Ivor is Lady Louise's godfather, but Edward and Sophie had another engagement that day and didn't attend - or that's their story, anyway

QueenOfTheAndals · 07/11/2018 19:13

I wouldn't put it past them to drop a hint, but I'm probably reading too much into it given their past form! Anyway I highly doubt the rumour is true, she's since had another baby too.

owlshooting · 07/11/2018 19:16

oleannas, maybe William was just very very cautious about marriage, in view of his parents awful experience. I suspect he was extremely wary and wanted to be absolutely sure . Who could blame him? He also knew that once he and Kate were married life would change irrevocably in terms of their freedom to live away from press intrusion. He also probably wanted to give Kate a chance to live a bit of life without Royal engagements , protocol and massive intrusion.

Dumbledora · 07/11/2018 19:19

Re Jecca Craig, her baby was called Wolf. W&K's dog is Lupo, isn't that Latin for Wolf

Sorry that was my first thought on reading that...

Love these threads!

VanillaSugary · 07/11/2018 19:24

LVPO (or Lupo's) was a wine bar down Dean Street in SoHo. It was bang opposite where I used to work and many a night I fell out of the door into a taxi.

THIS is why Lupo is called Lupo, nothing to do with being Latin name. The dog is named after a wine bar (a vanilla true story).

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 07/11/2018 19:32

I had my 30th birthday party in LVPO.
Thé DJ knew all of the fireman from Shaftesbury Avenue fire station and invited them. My female friends were very impressed.

So the Royal cocker spaniel is named after a bar in soho ! Grin

VanillaSugary · 07/11/2018 19:42

@CurlyWurlyTwirly Did you go to Kettners round the corner? Those were the days (sighs)

QueenOfTheAndals · 07/11/2018 19:44

I remember LVPO! Had several cocktail nights there about 8-10 years ago. Good times...

OP posts:
QueenOfTheAndals · 07/11/2018 19:45

Can't imagine W&K ever went there though @VanillaSugary. Their dog was surely more likely to be called Mahiki or Boujis?

OP posts:
OlennasWimple · 07/11/2018 19:48

owl - I'm confused by your last comment. Which of my posts was that in response to?

VanillaSugary · 07/11/2018 19:52

Boujis is too obvious. LVPO was their secret destination for romantic soirées. (taps nose).

Can't believe we've all had a Mai Tai in the same place! 🤣

owlshooting · 07/11/2018 20:04

Sorry, it was Curly's comment I was answering! Apologies for the confusion. Trying to read too quickly! This thread moves at the speed of light...
