I actually think Pippa looks a bit like Meghan!

Pippa Middleton a beauty and style icon? I think not. She's quite ordinary looking really and does not dress particularly well.

PawneeParksDept · 10/11/2018 15:58

www.ok.co.uk/celebrity-news/1491378/james-middleton-visits-sister-pippa-middleton-james-matthews-latest-pictures-baby-son

This article refers to Pippa as a "cooking guru" quite when that became the case is frankly a case for Scotland Yard. 🤔

SenecaFalls · 10/11/2018 15:59

How many children did Charles II have?

I think 13 who were acknowledged, but likely there were others. Diana, PoW was descended from two of them, one the child of Barbara Villiers, the other the child of Louise de Kerouaille.

Spudlet · 10/11/2018 16:00

They're both rather orange, aren't they?!

Spudlet · 10/11/2018 16:01

PawneeParksDept lololol at Pippa 'ice is good for cooling drinks' Middleton the cooking guru 😂🤣😂🤣😂

QueenOfTheAndals · 10/11/2018 16:02

Pippa wrote a column for Waitrose magazine. I didn't realise that qualifies her as the new Nigella!

Clionba · 10/11/2018 16:04

Ha ha! Pippa the cooking guru! Hmm
I remember her party book was widely parodied. She seems to be queen of the bleedin obvious.
I don't like Mme Macron's style. It never seems to fit right or look good.

Spudlet · 10/11/2018 16:06

Ok, I know this isn't a 'Pippa Middleton, what a twit' thread, but this is too good:

www.buzzfeed.com/alannaokun/pippa-middletons-19-most-painfully-obvious-pieces

Mind you, she got a whacking great advance for that book. So maybe not such a twit after all...!

QueenOfTheAndals · 10/11/2018 16:10

My distant cousin who Pa Middleton walked up the aisle was namechecked in Pippa's book. They're old friends from university. Pippa has a degree in English lit from Edinburgh so I don't think she's stupid!

OP posts:
Parker231 · 10/11/2018 16:11

Kate, her brother James and sister, Pippa are as bad as each other - none have held down a job and done a proper days work!

Clionba · 10/11/2018 16:13

She's not stupid, just perhaps very privileged and lacking awareness?
It's true, Spud about the whacking advance!

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 10/11/2018 16:16

Pippa’s advice sounds like one of those 1950s books on how to welcome your husband home from work.
Eg, brush your hair and put some lipstick on.
Make sure the children have washed their hands and are tidy and quiet.
Hmm pass the valium

Spudlet · 10/11/2018 16:17

£400,000 (Thanks google) for advice on star-gazing being best done at night... I take it all back. There was a twit involved there somewhere, but possibly not Pippa!

I suspect you're about right Clionba.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 10/11/2018 16:21

Here we go 1950s housewife. Unfortunately it’s not all an episode of Mad Men.

RosinaAlmaviva · 10/11/2018 16:25

Beauty and style icon...hmm. Pippa looked lovely on her wedding day, but who doesn't?

I did discover a very good Pippa-recommended salad recipe via this article. Only, like many a celebrity recipe, it had about 20 ingredients so I simplified it to four: cold roast chicken, feta, pomegranate seeds and mango. Delicious.

Still would not refer to her as a cooking guru though.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 10/11/2018 16:26

Pippa does look a bit like Meghan. However Meghan does have more beautiful eyes, and at the end of the day, Meghan is the whole package. Otherwise Harry could have saved himself 7 years and got together with Pippa at Will and Kate’s wedding!

YearOfYouRemember · 10/11/2018 16:29

I thought Pippa looked very nice when a bridesmaid and a bride but the rest of the time she looks very plain. Has it been confirmed that James and Pippa have named their baby Michael?

QueenOfTheAndals · 10/11/2018 16:33

I didn't realise Pippa's husband will be a Laird (thus making her a Lady) as his family own several acres in the Highlands.

OP posts:
RosinaAlmaviva · 10/11/2018 16:33

"A well-wrapped gift helps express how much thought you've put into it. Don't forget to remove the price tag from the gift..."

To be fair, the one year DF was responsible for buying Christmas presents, he wrapped them without removing any of the tags. I only realised this when they got given out - was admiring them and trying to discreetly whip off the tags at the same time before the recipients noticed.

Maybe I should buy him Pippa's book!

Clionba · 10/11/2018 16:48

I think the Matthews bought the laird title when they bought the land.

QueenOfTheAndals · 10/11/2018 17:00

Gasp! How very arriviste!!

OP posts:
SenecaFalls · 10/11/2018 17:04

Laird is not a title of nobility in Scotland. It just means someone who owns a particular estate and so can be bought and sold.

Spudlet · 10/11/2018 17:12

Pretty sure a friend of mine is Laird of an estate of approximately one square metre - it was a jokey present. And I'm one of the many Lairds of a bit of land that Trump wanted for his horrible golf course, the idea was that having hundreds of legal owners to trace would stop him buying it by nefarious means or something.

OlennasWimple · 10/11/2018 17:13

Pawnee - it's not "fake SAS" people that do that training, it's real or former SAS people. And you get given a time frame (say, "within the next two weeks") for the "kidnap")

I always want to brush Brigitte Macron's hair to make it a bit softer. It looks like she's gone mad with the Elnett
