Repeating Soys mantra now perusing JL looking for wonderful practical coats.

Just dropping in to say hello 👋 to everyone. I know it’s been a while but I have been following the threads. House move now on target for 19th November, it was put back 3 weeks due gas board not being able to mole the gas in sooner for central heating works. Having just agreed to pay £12000 for all the new heating and a new fire my Hush budget is non existent at the moment, but I did wear my Nana jumper for the first time yesterday into town for lunch and felt gorgeous in it, so snuggly. We’ve got a christening on Sunday and can’t decide between the Emanuelle dress or last years Felix in the burgundy. I really wish they’d done the Felix in charcoal again this year , as the black is a bit draining on me. Have stalked eBay on and off but to no avail.
Glad everyone else is still buying and enjoying their purchases, great that the last 2 threads have also discussed other brands, it’s been good.

dontcallmelen · 25/10/2018 19:51

Good luck with the house move nearly enjoy the christening, sure either outfit will be lovely.

Huffthepuff · 25/10/2018 19:54

Totally agree @Nearlyadoctor although I'd probably spend less if it was just Hush talk 🙈

SoyYo · 25/10/2018 20:26

Hi nearly so nice to read you and wishing you a non stressful move as well as a happy new Home

SoyYo · 25/10/2018 20:30

In between reading/posting I have cleaned my lovely fridge (mint coloured Smeg which I love) AND cooked dinner, feeling quite proud of my multitasking 👍
Actually after the previous 2 weeks of travel I am feeling so great just shorter homeworking days and no big deadlines looming. It’ll all change soon so making hay while the sun shines (metaphorically) 😎
I’ll catch up again tomorrow, wishing you all a lovely eve 👋👋

Laska5772 · 25/10/2018 21:12

oh you've all been chatty today ! Lots to catch up on.. ill post properly tomorrow, but at first look, can I say that id LOVE to see inside some of your wardrobes!!. and PLEASE can we have a few photos of us dressed up in p our sparkly /ball gown gear?

Also a full list of coats is needed.. !! I'm sure i have well over a dozen though several of those will be Barbour jackets as work buys me a new one every year as part of PPE for building sites I have a nice line in safety boots and hard hats also Grin

Its been a v.v.tiring day ..DM is ok,and as well has can be expected .. talking but very unhappy about being in hospital . But she is safe where she is but lots else going on with her health as well as having to recover from the hip op.... DSF also ok , but needs emotional support . Its going to be an ongoing thing.. .. I actually really wanted a fag this evening for the first time after many years not smoking, but didnt .. I have Wine though this evening

dontcallmelen · 25/10/2018 21:19

Laska I think you have it spot on, very much an ongoing situation for you all it’s so mentally tiring, glad Dm through the op & recovering.
Enjoy the wine, definitely well deserved 🍷cheers.
A photo shoot of sparkle & ball gowns sounds great fun.

neveradullmoment99 · 25/10/2018 22:10

Well that will be easy as I am not going anywhere this year
Glad to hear your mum is sounding more like herself Flowers @Laska.
@nearly, good to hear you are getting close to moving in. Sounds expensive!

neveradullmoment99 · 25/10/2018 22:11

I was actually thinking of ways to justify the gold glitter dress @Laska. Its lovely and think it would suit my colouring perhaps even better than the silver on me. Apart from xmas day, my social calendar is empty! My dd has more on!

neveradullmoment99 · 25/10/2018 22:12

I might just order it anyway and wear it daily.

neveradullmoment99 · 25/10/2018 22:13

Actually, it doesn't look as sparkly. I might buy it for my class xmas party any excuse

Laska5772 · 26/10/2018 08:23

I may have ordered the Meryl jumper

Blush
neveradullmoment99 · 26/10/2018 10:07

Ooooh laska. In pink or grey?

neveradullmoment99 · 26/10/2018 10:28

Heres a little tip that works like magic. Just put on my silky satiny hush black skirt with the asymmetric hem and it was fine when I tried it but for some reason today was full of static. Went online and it said to put a safety pin on a label inside the garment to discharge the electricity!! It worked. Its meant to cut it down radically and it has. So far so good. Will report back!!!

ilovecherries · 26/10/2018 10:30

That’s a lovely jumper, hope you like it. I still mourn the loss of my candy pink Scarlett from last year. Hope your mum is feeling more like herself today.

ilovecherries · 26/10/2018 10:32

Oh, have heard that as well, now you mention it Never. Should have tried it with my snakeskin marina.

ilovecherries · 26/10/2018 10:34

I am on my way to Glasgow. Have a meeting then going to try on coats.

Laska5772 · 26/10/2018 10:37

Gone for the grey.. . have also madly dyed my hair pink today,. .. its not quite what i expected! has a slight ginger undertone but that s ok its getting cut next week anyway ..

Laska5772 · 26/10/2018 10:38

Laska5772 · 26/10/2018 10:40

I shall try the safety pin idea never

neveradullmoment99 · 26/10/2018 10:47

I love your hair @Laska. Very funky!!! Thank goodness you didn't buy the pink jumper you might have clashed!! Or a bit matchy matchy!

neveradullmoment99 · 26/10/2018 10:48

Which reminds me, I could do with getting a bit of shape in my hair.

Laska5772 · 26/10/2018 10:49

Yes,, i wasnt going to dye my hair grey !! Grin

My mother will really hate it.. but it will be a talking point .. (she needs some)

neveradullmoment99 · 26/10/2018 10:49

Oh do post if you buy anything @cherries :)
