Yes @ cherries. Thats why i sized up in the dress. It was itchy on the arms.

I like both on you cherries.

I like both but prefer the long sleeve one on you. It'll look lovely with your heart pendant and coated leggings.

cherries I like the wide top on you more than the neater short sleeved one but I can’t bear itchy fabrics so the short sleeved is a good alternative and looks fine. Between the two the long sleeved one is my favourite but this could be subliminally influenced by seeing your face as opposed to just the body on the shorter sleeved one. Gosh don’t know if that makes sense to you!

Also thank you for the lovely comments on the sequin skirt, I will order the shirt to go with it but as the Xmas do is not till early Dec holding off hoping for a discount code. I know I’ll cave in soon if not...

Pink and Grey small ones attached. Having discounted the pink in my head, its actually a nice colour. I think the harsh lighting in JL yesterday misrepresented it to my fickle eye. The colour also possibly suits me better - though the grey is more versatile. Bum. I'll compare to the XS (grey) which should come tomorrow!

The coated jeans are nice, but not 8x nicer than the coated jeans I found in Sainsburys for £9 yesterday . Those are higher waisted and have a subtle snakeskin print. Not as useful for tucking things into, but I don't tend to do that anyway.

The slippers are Not Coming Off ever.

I really like both tops on you @cherries. The long sleeved one possibly just has the edge, but the short one would be really good for not full-on sparkle, worn under a jacket or something. If the sleeves are annoying, you could try a bigger size like @Never/@Always/@TAFKAN - its so big everywhere else anyway it may not make too much difference to the overall size!

Totally not on thread! I need a 5-6 part series to take into the bathroom with me this evening. Don’t really want anything longer than that as I will never want to watch it again after tonight. I’ve recently watched keeping faith, killing eve and butterfly and enjoyed them all. I have Netflix, iPlayer, itv hub and Prime. No sky. Any recommendations?

I love the grey on you but it could be the angle the photo is taken, the pink is a beautiful shade too but is it bigger?
I think you’re wise to compare to the XS tomorrow as they do look very generously sized but there again that’s the vibe of the jumpers.

I like both Meryls. Grey is just beautiful (but I have a bit of a thing for chunky neutrals). I had a jumper in that candy pink last year, and loved it, but it got wrecked by a piece of jewellery on Xmas day. The fibres of the jumper acted like a polishing cloth and I ended up with black silver stains absolutely embedded in the fabric.

We have just finished watching the affair of Harry Quebec on now tv .( maybe on other platforms ) . It was really good . I think it's 9 parts but no ads so maybe ok

And the Sainsburys Meryl dupe which I also like and will keep, but isn't anything like as warm and snuggly because its acrylic/ polyamide. That's a 16 as it is all they had, and I still think its less oversized than the Meryl!

Thanks @Soy and @cherries - I hadn't thought about getting off marks - but you are right...the pink is the kind of colour that I can imagine attracting dark marks and them being very obvious. They are both allegedly the same size, but I agree the pink looks bigger! I did compare both as I felt the same, and the pink may be about a cm wider (because, lets face it, they aren't generously sized as it is ) but i wasn't too accurate about it. I think it just looks bigger in the photo because of how I'm standing.

The coated jeans in the photo (of the meryls - I'd changed back into old gap black jeans (shredded by the cat) for this photo!) were the hush ones. As I said, they are nice, and I would consider getting them in the sale at about half price but I wouldn't wear them enough to merit at full price.

For you Soy just finishing off another cupboard at the moment which is proving to be a blooming faff.

@ilovecherries I prefer the long sleeve on you although both are fab and would be useful.

@SoyYo Love your picture of perfect Christmas sparkle. It's how I always envisage dressing during the party season and then get too wrapped up in a need for comfort and fear of commuting in the cold/being overdressed/general laziness and I always default to a boring jersey outfit and flat shoes. I must try harder. I've been eyeing up party shoes on the M&S website but need to be realistic about my lifestyle and fear of cold feet 🤣

Another Meryl!! This is the S.. which I still think is too big , love the colour though.

and the glitter wide top , which as you can see isn't much different ( or not different enough for me to keep and sell the old one ) than last years glitter Ivy dress.. only the length really (and of course the Ivy has pockets which is always good !!) .The fabric is pretty much the same

cherries I also like the one with sleeves on you.. I did find the glitter Ivy a bit scratchy but not enough to be annoying .

So my no shopping till payday is going well 😒 just got derailed by a Pure Collection catalogue. I'm a sucker for a good discount and ordered the cashmere blend poncho in grey. With the catalogue discount I paid £46. Really not what I should be spending on tho. I still need a smart wool coat for work, some coated jeans and a black cardigan. All of which I've chosen but haven't bought yet.

Not I like the Meryls on you also , but yes think you could also size down, (if you can get hold of a pink XS in the next couple of mornings grab it and see! ) That Sainsburys one does look like a really good dupe though.. H&M also have a good one ..

this Pure Collection one is also lovely but more expensive ( although you get 20% for a new customer)
