They are almost too fluffy Grin

neveradullmoment99 · 01/11/2018 14:23

Love the jumper on you @not and the top is perfect with the skirt :)

SoyYo · 01/11/2018 14:25

never heaven slippers! Can’t and won’t take them off! Grin

The rest is a mixed bag.
V neck lace vest is terrible lace feels like plastic and nowhere near the quality of the peekaboo. Going straight back!
The thin v neck jumper is just what I was hoping for, super soft and lovely, seen in pic with vest below. It’s a S which is all they had left but can I get away with it even if it’s not slouchy fit?

The scarf is excellent thick wool and quality. But too thick! It doesn’t wrap round neck as I was expecting it too so not what I was looking for. Think I’ll return/swap for constellation scarf which is not 100% wool but more suited to wrapping I hope.

See pics in my jammies! Blush
Sorry for lack of styling but it’s a really wet day and I spilt coffee on my harems earlier, the pj bottoms were looking so cozy I changed into them and can’t be bothered to change. Forgive the complete lack of styling but we are amongst friends ill ignore this is a public thread Wink

Mmmm I really have gone down in the style stakes modelling my Hush purchases in pj bottoms (but they are Hush pj’s your honour!) Grin
And you know what? I really don’t care! Hmm it’s the start of a slippery slope girls, what with the Hush elssticated waists and fluffy slippers...😂

Ellapaella · 01/11/2018 14:42

@neveradullmoment99 I think the cardi looks better on you than it does on the website! It's lovely. I'm so tempted by it, can you report back in a week or so and let me know if it bobbles?

@NotAnActualSheep the Meryl jumper is lovely - I like the skirt. The green of it is very similar to the Florence skirt that I got earlier this year, I've only been able to wear it with black on top really.

SoYo the slippers look lovely and cosy.

Ellapaella · 01/11/2018 14:43

Actually @SoyYo it was the pyjamas and sheepy slippers that first started me to Hush all those years ago. Hush is the ultimate lounge wear to be fair. I love the scarf.

SoyYo · 01/11/2018 14:49

Thanks ella totally agree on Hush loungewear, who knew new slippers could spark such joy “a la Marie Kondo” Grin

Oh the scarf is a dilemma...it is really excellent quality but not so easy to wrap round the neck...I’ll try it with a few of my coats and decide

SoyYo · 01/11/2018 14:52

Not wrap but style round the neck. That’s what I mean. I like to do things like double knots and style in different ways but the wool and size of this one only lends itself to a simpler wrapping round.
Not sure I’m explaining it well...

neveradullmoment99 · 01/11/2018 14:54

I love the scarf too. It looks so cosy. My other grey one hasnt bobbled. Ive not washed it yet and avoiding it. The less its washed the better. Thank you for the lovely compliment about the cardi @ella.
@ soyo you look fab in your pj's and slippers.

neveradullmoment99 · 01/11/2018 14:55

You r explaining it fine. Its bulk limits the way you can wear it.

Ellapaella · 01/11/2018 14:57

Check out this Boden version of the Meryl..
100% wool, cheaper and with a 20% discount cheaper still.

We havent seen Dave for a while ? .. Hope you are ok if you are reading

Hi guys ..thanks for thinking of me.

I'm ok, but have had a shitty couple weeks. Got given notice at work week before last completely out of the blue which is a real downer as I'd only been there 6 months and it fitted in well with school etc.

Then last night took the kids out T or T'ing and my 7 year old son who is highly peanut allergic accidentally ate an M&M that some genius had decided to empty into their bowl for random kids to take. DS thought it was a Skittle - he's quite savvy about his allergy.

He went into anaphylactic shock..very fortunately we were on our road in a bit group of kids and adults at the time, and so OH rushed him home and gave him his Epipen (we've never had to use it before).

Thank god we were close by as when I made it back to the house (also had my DD and another child with me), DS's lips were blue and swollen..it was very scary.

Called 999 and he was taken to hospital. He is fine, down to administering the adrenaline quickly and correctly (well done OH), but they had to keep him in for 6 hours observation to check no secondary reaction to the adrenaline.

So all in all not a great evening..they didn't get back till 2am so I have kept him off school today as he was exhausted.

Could have been worse...I just can't think why anyone with half a brain would put loose, peanutty sweets out for random kids to take..it could kill someone.

Sigh....anyway hope you are all well..liking the pictures and will read back a bit now.

neveradullmoment99 · 01/11/2018 15:35

oh no @Dave. Sounds like you have had a totally shit time. You must have been out of your mind with worry about your ds. Crazy thing to do with the m&m since schools are always going on about being nut free. How absolutely terrifying for you. Also shit about your job. I hope you find something else soon Flowers.

DavetheCat2001 · 01/11/2018 15:56

Thanks never

Yeah things have been a bit crap recently, it was very worrying last night as with peanut allergies the effect can be very severe...I honestly think the epipen saved his life, which I can't think about too much as it makes me shudder.

I have to say the paramedics were amazing though and an ambulance was outside our house in about 10 mins.

It was chaotic..hordes of kids kept coming up to the front door asking for sweets, and as I was dressed up in a green wig and spooky make up, I felt awful telling them to bugger off!

Our local area is big on T and T'ing as there are so many young families about. We both went into auto-mode and just dealt with the situation. My poor boy was really terrified as he knew immediately that he has eaten peanut and was in a panic.

neveradullmoment99 · 01/11/2018 16:05

Sounds horrendous. I have a 7 year old dd and I just cannot imagine that.

neveradullmoment99 · 01/11/2018 16:05

Thank god he was ok.

DavetheCat2001 · 01/11/2018 16:07

His mouth was all swollen and turning blue..horrible.

Ellapaella · 01/11/2018 16:10

@DavetheCat2001 oh goodness what a horrible end to the evening for you! That must have been so scary, glad to hear your ds is getting better now.
So sorry to hear about your job as well.
I was thinking you'd gone a bit quiet lately.
