I always marvel at hush cashmere when I wear it. Its so light and so warm all rolled into one.

AFingerofFudge · 01/11/2018 16:42

Sorry to hear your scary news and your bad news about your job Dave. And lack of thought can have serious consequences

soyo I love the slippers and the scarf!!!

Also noted the Boden Meryl-lookalike, I may have to purchase it!!!

I am considering buying leg warmers, what does this say about me???!! Am I getting old and desperately trying to re-live my youth????

I am just back from the school run and am sporting my new jacket from Oliver Bonas. I saw it in the summer but DS3 who is 9, put me off it by telling me it how awful it was (and it was expensive). Anyway, went in last week and it was reduced to £20! I think no one else bought one!!! Anyhow, I love it. Will do a photo

I like it @finger. It looks very cosy. £20!!! great bargain!

neveradullmoment99 · 01/11/2018 16:55

I love my fluffy yeti jumper that hush did years ago. Its bright blue and fluffy. I always wanted Hush to do a different colour but they never did. I still have it. Its a bit worn now.

Not trying to enable honestly.

neveradullmoment99 · 01/11/2018 17:37

They have the lily boat neck but only in a 10 in pink [ to match your hair!]
Actually it looks nice.

neveradullmoment99 · 01/11/2018 17:37

£29 too, not to be sniffed at.

NotAnActualSheep · 01/11/2018 17:38

Crikey @Davethecat - what an awful time FlowersWine. I can't believe people would do that, and without any warning re peanuts. I thought people were more sensible these days. You must all have been so scared - but glad your DS is OK. Hurrah for the NHS, is what I say...

@soyyo - OMG those slippers look amazing. They are definitely going on my Christmas list (I think I've spent November's clothes budget already...). And I love the scarf too, but know what you mean - it is so big you feel you're wrapping a blanket around your face (not necessarily a bad thing for warmth, but hard to do in more than one way...). I have to say, if you hadn't have said they were pyjamas I wouldn't have twigged - but there are loads of clothes around that do have that pyjama vibe aaaarrrgh (yours are much less pyjama-y than those last two, I reckon, though probably the fabric is a giveaway!). They go well with the jumper, anyway Grin - which I think is fine as a small.

@ella - I do love the look of that Boden one, and its pretty good value for wool, with the discount. I tried it a while back, though and found the neck, though wider than a "normal" roll neck, wasn't really slouchy. It works on the models with their sylph-like necks, but it just made my neck look the same width as my head, which wasn't good. It was also a bit shorter than I wanted, but that did make it look "smarter".

@len - is it this one? That actually looks really nice. I always forget about peacocks, though there is one in our local shopping centre. I may have to pop there to have a browse, as they seem to have some nice stuff, glancing at the website.

@finger - I love that pink jacket. It's great when you reluctantly turn something down, and then it crops up again cheap as chips... Like the universe is enabling you..

neveradullmoment99 · 01/11/2018 17:39

Lovely scarves for gifts. Nice hats and gloves.

NotAnActualSheep · 01/11/2018 17:41

Whoops - cross posted with talisin. That'll teach me to get Brew mid post...

Laska5772 · 01/11/2018 17:49

La la la la la Never Not Listening Grin

AFingerofFudge · 01/11/2018 17:53

Ooh yes the universe definitely enabled me! Just seen it on the website

I saw that fudge .. but I am being *goooooood^ have already bought hush Puffa and slippers today ( Nordikas not Hush ones -my old ones are well over 2 years old in justification )

Laska5772 · 01/11/2018 18:03

A quick pop in as I am jet-lagged (got back from Chicago earlier today).
@Dave oh my goodness, I am so sorry to hear of both your job loss and that awful experience with your DS. I have a DS with a hazelnut allergy and while he does not have an epi pen he has had a couple of bad reactions (nothing as serious as your DS) it is very very scary when it happens. I hope you are all ok today and I wish you all the luck in the world in finding a new job asap.

I didn't buy very much clothes-wise in Chicago. I got a fab coat in Under Armour, after failing in The North Face and Uniqlo. I tried on so many coats I actually lost my fitbit :( and although I retraced my steps I never found it. Anyway the coat is fab. It will be perfect for yard duty in winter as it feels like a duvet while not being too heavy.

www.underarmour.com/en-us/down-sweater-parka-china/pid1323837-592

I got a lovely pair of workout leggings and a top in Athleta (Gap's grownup workout gear store, with prices to match) and a fleece-lined hoodie in Uniqlo. The rest of my money was spent on skincare and makeup!
