The skirt is ok at the waist but I feel it should be neater on the hips etc although you don't see it on the first photo. I could get away with it. I just think it would be nicer narrower. The bottom photo shows how much material there is. I suppose there is space for shrinkage!!! I really love the colour of it. Its super classy.

neveradullmoment99 · 01/11/2018 10:49

So that is everything. What do you think?

neveradullmoment99 · 01/11/2018 10:49

Is the Dione drape skirt btw.

neveradullmoment99 · 01/11/2018 10:50

Sadly, I think if I got the 12, it would be a bit neat on the waist.

neveradullmoment99 · 01/11/2018 10:52

It says its designed to sit low on the waist so definitely too big looking if I do that. It looks bloody huge on me. The model is wearing it high on the waist!!!

Laska5772 · 01/11/2018 10:59

I just love it all on you never Sorry you will have to keep the lot!

The skirt looks really good IMO.. perhaps its just because you think it needs to be slimmer on the hips? I really like it only you can tell how it feels though..

The puffa looks great on you, and thanks for posting t e photo.. Like I said, I dont actually need it but I did love it.. ( the 14 went back yesterday , as definitely too big) However I'm not closing my mind to the 12 though, just really need to be practical.. its no good if i really wont wear it much..

Sabrina looks really fab on you .. what a shame that it was so creased though..

We havent seen Dave for a while ? .. Hope you are ok if you are reading ..

neveradullmoment99 · 01/11/2018 11:02

I know, where is Dave? Thanks @Laska you are really not helping Grin Well I just ordered it in a 12 from JL.

neveradullmoment99 · 01/11/2018 11:05

Its a shame too as the cardi and the skirt don't match. They are slightly out colour wise. I wish Hush would co-ordinate their colours. They would sell so much more. The cardigan is olive and the skirt is olive but not the same olive arrrgggh!!

dontcallmelen · 01/11/2018 11:06

never I would try the 12, see how it compares I think the trouble sometimes with clothing that is meant too sit low on the waist the cut on the hips comes up big, it is lovely though & the cardigan is a lovely colour, so basically I’m not much help either.

Laska5772 · 01/11/2018 11:09

Oh sorry, never vicariously shopping through others GrinWink

dontcallmelen · 01/11/2018 11:10

Yy different shades, so annoying.

neveradullmoment99 · 01/11/2018 11:18

I have ordered the 12 @melen as I feel it feels gapey iykwim. Its beautiful and definitely good for the price imo. Its is gorgeous shades of green. I think I will return the jacket. Its not doing it for me. I think I may keep the skirt in a 12 and the cardigan.

neveradullmoment99 · 01/11/2018 11:19

The skirt is out of stock on the hush website laska but in stock on JL website incase you are considering it.

Laska5772 · 01/11/2018 11:25

Just stop it Never Grin

Just catching up from last night...so many posts.
@cherries i love the monsoon puffa on you, and such a bargain! Im not usually tempted by puffas (they look great on others, but I feel I look a bit marshmallow-y) but seeing yours and the hush equivalent on Laska and never I am wavering. I'm a sucker for velvet ( not B&Q lagging puffa coats though ). I think I prefer the navy though as its a better colour for me.

@ginandgingerbeer - ouch, basically... your ankle looks really painful in that photo. Hope its getting better.

@never - I absolutely love the green cardi. It looks really useful, but I know what you mean about it arriving creased. it kind of takes the shine off it.

I've got the green leopard skirt too, and I agree the fabric is lovely, and its really nice and drapey. My hips are a "true" 14 (I pretend i'm a 12 which works in some places, but really I'm not) but my waist is smaller comparatively. So for me the 14 sits lower than my natural waist so it doesn't feel too big, and is OK on the hips. I was considering trying a 12 to see if it sat higher, but thought that would probably be too small on the hips as there is no give in the lining (plus it was OOS when I last looked). You may get away with a 12 though if it is sitting below your natural waist, as you are slimmer than me? But if you don't like things higher, that may not work!!

What colours would you wear with it other than black? I know what you mean about it being a "tricky" olive to match! I looks as if some of the outlines of the spots are purpleish, so do you think picking up that colour would work? Or possibly deep or mid grey? I'm rubbish at this kind of think, so default to black, even thought its not "my" colour.

neveradullmoment99 · 01/11/2018 11:46

The leopard spots are more of a forest green. I would pick up that colour @not.

neveradullmoment99 · 01/11/2018 11:50

I can pick up the 12 at waitrose tomorrow so will compare the two as i really like it. I am pear shaped and after too many halloween cakes etc i always put weight on my waist gggrrrr. Starting on Monday, its back to the old regime of no sweet things and my fasting. Last couple of weeks ive only managed one fast day. Feel my jeans a bit tighter so its back to that. Its my birthday over the weekend so although i dont have any plans, want to enjoy it and have a wee drink and nibbles.

NotAnActualSheep · 01/11/2018 11:53

You're totally right - they are! I'd thought they were black/deep grey, but picking up the colour from the lining behind. That opens up whole new options (well, one whole new option of a forest green jumper...). Thanks!

Just catching up with you lot.
I’m a bit of a witch and have to tell you about today: you know we sadly lost our 2 cats this last summer, I still can’t get over the shock of losing the second one who was black as he’d been doing fine despite his old age and it was his brother who had diabetes and had been poorly for so long. Anyway a couple of nights ago he appeared in my dreams, it was an upsetting dream so won’t elaborate but he’s always on my mind. Last night I thought about past Halloween’s when our DS were young and the fun we used to have decorating the house, making spooky treats and rushed to the supermarket after Pilates to buy sweets for little ones who may come trick or treating to our door.
I put all the sweets in a big bowl by the front door ready for the kids but not a single knock on my door which made me quite sad 🎃 but then I hadn’t put any decorations or signs that ours is a “Halloween friendly” home and I guess nowadays they only knock on decorated houses.
So later DH and I ate some sweets and went to bed. This morning the lady who cleans our house called me in a panic “there’s a black cat in your back bedroom!”That is DS2 (Brighton based) bedroom, the black cat had obviously been there all night. My cleaning lady was a bit freaked but I opened the front door wide and there he was at the top of the stairs. A beautiful huge very furry long haired black cat who with a little gentle coaxing and words came downstairs and out the front door.
I joked with DH that last night he was looking for his familiar!Grin
He didn’t make a mess, goodness knows how he snuck in but he obviously belongs to someone as looked well fed and clean...
Anyway a tale for Halloween 👻 made me miss my old boys...

Still waiting for Hush parcel.
never I adore the green skirt you should keep the 12, but agree the 14 is a wee bit big and the 12 should be perfect.
laska Flowers you are coping extremely well with all that is going on in your life.

dontcallmelen · 01/11/2018 12:03

Aww Soy that’s dcat, letting you know he is ok.
I had some pumpkins outside the house last night, it was like blooming Piccadilly station never seen so many children, ran out of treats in the end. Last year I didn’t have any decorations & no one knocked so think it must be Halloween etiquette now, that they only knock on decorated houses, which I think is much better idea.

SoyYo · 01/11/2018 12:07

Yes melen I like to think our old Blackie boy knows he’s missed and sent us a sign with a real black beautiful cat last night and you’re right about new Halloween etiquette must remember to have a carved pumpkin with candle at porch next year, it’s such fun!

SoyYo · 01/11/2018 12:07

Plus DH and I ate far too many sweets with all that temptation around! Blush

SoyYo · 01/11/2018 12:14

gin about your ankle sorry to read, you know I had a stupid accident like yours in the summer, had first aid and thought it was just ligament damage but it swelled up so badly and bruised...anyway I left it for over a week but it was still a bit painful and I had a long haul flight with work which prompted a visit to GP “just in case”. I was shocked when she told me she thought it was broken and x rays confirmed it.
I ended up with the Star Wars boot for 6 weeks so don’t leave it too long, if it’s not feeling better (even if swelling has gone down) do go and get it checked
