Marks ? Well it is Halloween gin Halloween Grin

Shes ok, but not great IFYSWIM.. 93 in hospital. Sadly there's a lot wrong as well as the broken hip..Its quite likely that she wont be able to com ehome again.. Sad

Laska5772 · 31/10/2018 20:12

Masks !! even (sigh)

neveradullmoment99 · 31/10/2018 20:16

Oh no...laska. That's awful :(

Laska5772 · 31/10/2018 20:30

Its ok Never, she really is in the best place (even though she hates it) and the ward is great , modern, light airy . Just three other patients The hospital is on the hillside and her ward has such a fantastic view over the city (Portsmouth) that you would expect to pay a lot for if it was a hotel.. Really lovely nursing and other staff..

They are talking about getting her home. but quite honestly I think my Dad (DSF) wouldn't be able to cope unless they really could get her moving and managing quite independently again . (he is a bit younger than her, but not much). But its early days yet , they are just getting her to try and stand now, she will be in hospital for a while yet before any decisions are made .. it is stressful and dad need as much emotional support .. I know some of are going through similar .. I didn't join in with the discussion over the weekend , although read it) .. it has been quite a difficult few days . But I do understand .. luckily y lovely Dh , has been wonderful .. talking to Dad, and listening to me .. ( I picked a goodun 2nd time around though )

ilovecherries · 31/10/2018 20:35

Good genes, Soy, you should see my mum and dad! Plus a lifetime of sun dodging, my mum was way ahead of her time with regard to keeping her kids covered.

Laska5772 · 31/10/2018 21:10

I seem to have sent back everything I have bought in the last few weeks (with 2 exceptions , the Hush LL charcoal T and also the £14 Hush coral raw linen T from Brand Alley)..Ive even cancelled most of my recent Brand Alley Seasalt order ( not the mac though , that is a real bargain, if it fits ) but I do seem to have ordered a lot in the last couple of weeks ,just on 'click and pay' .. ..

I reckon its displacement anxiety gain .. It has been a crap few weeks.. Sad.. But at least I have woken up to it.. I did this before during a tough time a few years ago and ended up in debt..I am not in debt now and am not ever going to be again.. I actually have savings now

However, even though I do have the £££ in the bank to pay for it , I am fairly sure that I wont be keeping the sz 12 Hush puffa when it comes.. (unless I look Utterly Ge-org-ge-ous . in it Grin) .... What i need is a practical but good looking weekend coat, and one that isn't a ruddy Barbour, (of which i have 4 now, 3 of them given to me from work and am sick of )

One thing I have worn and worn from this season though, since buying it is the Hush grey soft top.. its quite cheap anyway and I would recommend it with 10% off today

Laska5772 · 31/10/2018 21:14

..oh just looked .....the soft top is completely out of stock! ..No wonder its great..

Ellapaella · 31/10/2018 22:42

@ilovecherries I love the coat - you look fantastic 😍
It was @PorpoisefullyObtuse who recommended the Oasis skirt I think? I've worn mine loads and love it.
Haven't ordered anything today. I am staying with my parents this week with the DC and went into their local little market town which over the last couple of years has upgraded to having a Jigsaw, Joules, Monsoon, Mint Velvet amongst other shops. Had a lovely browse but went into the Jack Wills and spent quite a bit on my 16 year old DS.

My black and white zebra scarf came today and I am really pleased with it. Its really good quality! Thought it would be really thin chiffon material but its really pretty cosy. I really like it!!! Waiting for my green one from amazon. I ordered the black one later and got that sooner. The green one is taking forever. Maybe it will come tomorrow. Heres hoping.

Ellapaella · 31/10/2018 23:04

@neveradullmoment99 yes I am super pleased with my red zebra scarf, the quality is great. My mum has been admiring it today so I've ordered one for her. Quite a bargain!

Some lovely stuff in Monsoon at the moment.

neveradullmoment99 · 31/10/2018 23:07

Oooh off for a browse on the monsoon website. Havent looked at their things for a long time!

GinandGingerBeer · 31/10/2018 23:23

Succumbed at the last minute, ordered the coated skinnies and the sylvie shirt. Think I've made a mistake with the skinnies as I ordered a 12 and even though I usually fit an 8 or 10 in hush, I think I tried them on in JL and they were too small, but can't quite remember what size I tried.

Glad to hear your Dm is making progress Laska (auto corrected to 'Lashorn' this time, your game of thrones name presumablySmile) albeit slow, hope you're doing ok.
Why can't our stress compulsions take us towards exercise and healthy eating instead of internet shopping, wine and chocolate? I shop for quick highs & distraction sometimes, well often actually Blush

neveradullmoment99 · 01/11/2018 06:25

Me too @ginger

ilovecherries · 01/11/2018 07:15

I’ve just realised I was only charged £59 for that monsoon puffa, as they had some sort of flash sale on the day it was dispatched. It was already discounted to £79, but £59 takes it into the sort of territory where it might be worth keeping it to wear out with jeans on less cold days when I want to be a bit smarter but not dressed up. I might be talking myself into it.

Huffthepuff · 01/11/2018 07:42

Sounds like it's just meant to be @ilovecherries 😊 sometimes when things feel good on, they end up being much more useful than expected. And it really does look great on you

neveradullmoment99 · 01/11/2018 08:57

It looks great on you cherries. Definitely keep it. At that price you cannot send it back!

neveradullmoment99 · 01/11/2018 10:05

Well my order came and its a mixed bag. Not sure I am going to keep any of it tbh.
I like the black velvet puffa jacket and it fits fine. I got the size 12. Its roomy enough for a thick jumper. Not sure I am in love with it though. Its a black jacket. I am feeling indifferent about it atm. Love the larger star earrings. Am wearing those and at £19 - they are fine. I love the long sabrina olive cardigan. Its a gorgeous colour. I have been wearing the grey one all the time. I think what is putting me off is how crushed it is. Its like it has been thrown into a bag. This pisses me off, not because I have to iron it, just because Hush's garments are shown zero respect and if they treat their stock in that way, how much do they actually cost to make? I feel like sending it back out of principle. As for the green leopard skirt. Its gorgeous but not sure its saying wow to me. Its also a 14 so its big on the hips and ok on the waist. I'm not fussed for skirts that sit at the proper high waist. I find them uncomfortable. Not sure why. I like to put them on lower. Its going back. So that's that. Still waiting for the bag. It should be in stock tomorrow so hopefully receive on Saturday.

Laska5772 · 01/11/2018 10:13

can you post a photo of you in th e jacket never i'd like a comparison as to how i is on me...especially side view if you wouldn't mind . I have not got my 12 yet (as i ordered as 'someone else' for the discount ) think it may come today though

Laska5772 · 01/11/2018 10:14

id love to see the skirt also ..

neveradullmoment99 · 01/11/2018 10:30

Sure. Will go and do it now. :)
