My biker would look ok but its maybe too cold for that.

neveradullmoment99 · 27/10/2018 17:00

Maybe a shortish parka.or maybe the puffa jacket ha ha ha...

SoyYo · 27/10/2018 17:08

Hello I’m in Brighton sitting in a pub waiting for DS2 to finish work so we can treat him to a restaurant vegan dinner and after DH will drive 3 hours back home (he’s too kind!)

Ella fabulous in the dress! Your new boots look great too Smile

never I mainly wear Amies/Harems at home but also when I go out to Pilates, and if the weather is cold I pair them up with this Uniglo short jacket in burgundy. Unlike cherries I’ve never had any issues with the fabric on this style and although it’s not super thick it is warm zipped up with a cozy sweatshirt under:

Btw fab curly haircut today! Well pleased 😀

Laska5772 · 27/10/2018 17:10

Amies are indoor or pop-down-the supermarket-quick wear items for me..
So far if i have worn them out i have just chucked my trusty (several years old) Northface charcoal down gilet on over whatever I am wearing with them.....

I have my (dyed ) black/grey striped ones right now! with a charcoal vest and Gap pale grey space dye scoop top

laska sorry to read about jumper but is the quality worth the money even if sizing is way out?

Laska5772 · 27/10/2018 17:13

Soy hope you are loving Brighton on this fine day!.. I went to uni there , met Dh there, and worked there at the uni after and we lived just on the outskirts for many years before moving here.

Love going back to see people .. (and shop!.. They have a Cos there you know if you have time to pop in..North St I think)

Laska5772 · 27/10/2018 17:14

Soy yes I think it is..its a lovely jumper.. the grey is really nice

NotAnActualSheep · 27/10/2018 17:19

The dress and boots look brilliant @Ella! I tried the Cassie dress from the flash sale but it just looked weird on me so I sent it back. And it was also covered in loads of white lint when it arrived for some reason, and I thought that would get worse, as my house is a breeding ground for white lint.

I wore the stripey Amie's with thermal tights underneath Blush on the school run this week with a biker jacket and merino jumper, which seemed to work. I'd meant to change, but ran out of time. I was still chilly, and it's about 5 degrees colder today so I wouldn't chance it now!

What a pity about the Meryl @Laska. I was thinking the sizing was a bit more normal/ predictable this season, though evidently not.... Though promising that the quality sounds good ( I'd hope so too, frankly for the cash!) Hope the puffa comes soon for you.

dontcallmelen · 27/10/2018 17:26

Ella the lastest outfit look really lovely, I’m picking up my M&S jeans tomorrow.
Laska 😂your # shame about the jumper, very annoying.
I really need to get to a Tesco & check out knitwear, seems they have some good buys.
Soy enjoy your Brighton & seeing Ds2, glad you are happy with your haircut.

SoyYo · 27/10/2018 17:32

laska it’s just a flying visit mainly to see DS2 who we haven’t seen since late Aug as we went on hols in Sept and in Oct he went to Canada on hols (gf there Wink) so he arrived a few minutes ago and with DH they’ve gone to move the car to a different car park and we’re off to a Mexican restaurant nearby who also caters for veggies.
We are in the Brighton marina which is where he’s working atm after graduating this summer, he’s still sharing a flat in Hove with old uni mate but he’s saving up to go to Canada as he’s got a years work visa.

So fashion today: leopard coats first outing (super super cozy) with black biker skinny jeans, black vest and Hush frayed black long sleeve coffin jumper from summer sale.
Felt a bit conspicuous earlier walking round Asda doing a big veggie treats shop for DS but now totally glad I bought it! Grin

Interesting about the Meryl jumper...oh well you’ll tell us whether you decide to size down or go for the Tesco dupe in due course.
Have a lovely Sat eve all!

SoyYo · 27/10/2018 17:33

coffin jumper? Hmm
I meant cotton jumper! 😂

Laska5772 · 27/10/2018 17:42

You can Never be too outrageous in Brighton Soy Anything goes!
My DS had a weeks work experience from school at aged 15 at a local radio station.. His first assignment was interviewing transvestites about fashion !!

Laska5772 · 27/10/2018 17:44

, its not quite the same where i live now..

Laska5772 · 27/10/2018 17:46

I think I am going to reorder that Meryl.. i can look at the Tesco one on Monday .. (if we have it in our (only) island store)

Laska5772 · 27/10/2018 17:51

Ella where did you get the red zebra scarf? I cant find it on M&S.

Ellapaella · 27/10/2018 17:59

@Laska5772 it's from eBay not Marks and Sparks, it's the jeans that are M & S.
Have a scroll down to last nights chat with Never and you will see the screen shot if the eBay seller I bought from. Never also got a nice green one from Amazon with link below.

neveradullmoment99 · 27/10/2018 18:18

The zebra scarf is from ebay @Laska and they are super cheap!!! I got it in green but there are other colours. The green seems OOS on ebay though. I love the black too.

neveradullmoment99 · 27/10/2018 18:22

Just bought a black one too at £4.99

neveradullmoment99 · 27/10/2018 18:23

Help me, contact wearing Husheetas :( In years of contact lens wearing, I've never lost one (daily disposables - I know, don't hate me for the plastic). Anyhow, driving home tonight, sudden pain in my eye, and I give it a quick rub. Feel the lens move, pain goes away, see fine. But when I go to take them out, I can't find a lens anywhere in that eye. It's not in the right place, for sure, otherwise I'd be able to see, and I can't a)I've not taken it out b) I have NEVER had a lens fall out and c) my eye feels as if there is something in it. But buggered if I can find it. Of course, can't actually SEE to look for it unless I've got my glasses on, and then of course, can't see clearly into my eye with them on. Plus of course varifocal, can't actually EVER see through the right part of them for something like this. DH has had a look and can't see anything, but is a bit squeamish about eyes. Has anyone got any tips for flushing an errant lens out of a hiding place. And is my eye going to fall out by Monday if I can't actually find it (travelling all day tomorrow, no chance of getting to an optican).

neveradullmoment99 · 27/10/2018 19:58

It could be hiding at the top of your lid. It cant go anywhere else so its either there or it has fallen out. Its perfectly possible that it has and just because you have been irritating your eye trying to find it, you could have made your eye sensitive. If you press on the upper eyelid, can you feel it? If you rub it, can you feel it? The only place it can be really is under the upper eyelid and quite far back or to the side. I would try and double check when you eye has settled down.

neveradullmoment99 · 27/10/2018 19:59

Be reassured, it cant go behind your eye or anything like that. Its sealed iykwim.

neveradullmoment99 · 27/10/2018 20:00

I would massage it and then see if you can see it with the hope to budge it if it is still there.

whatnametouse · 27/10/2018 20:04

Has anyone tried the Phoenix dress? Not in the UK so would have to get it sent and then pick it up but want to know if it’s ok in real life 😬
