I love the fact that Princess Anne has not changed her hairstyle for decades.

She is my hero, and ploughs her own furrow. I love the fact that she doesn't care what people think and recycles her outfits.

In fact I am nearly certain I have seen her dress at Eugenies wedding before, isn't that amazing, she is one independent woman and doesn't care what people think, but she looked great just the same.

I was referring to a PP who was wondering if Pippa would do the press photograph on the steps not Meghan.

I think as George is a future king, his a glimpse is important. I understand why Kate did it. I’m not so sure Neghan and Harry will do the same although perhaps it is a way of keeping the press happy so they won’t be prying for an ‘exclusive’. Regardless of lovely posed family photographs being handed out, I think people prefer to see themselves. Kate should never have worn high heels and set the bar so high esp when she did so on the same day she had the baby. That was utter madness but if she didn’t, she’d be criticised too.

I be quite honest I questioned whether Kate did, in fact, have the baby earlier that day and not a couple of days previously. She must have spent a couple of hours with her hairdresser and then had make up applied.

Seems strange

My favourite Princess Anne story is the time the IRA tried to kidnap her and failed because she was absolutely having none of it

She is quoted as having said "not bloodly likely" and physically fought them

They probably thought that as a posh rich woman she'd be a weak, easy target

More fool them

I thought the same but the birth certificates are public information so not something they can fib about.

I have no doubt that she went home into a ‘maternity’ style room in her own home with plenty of rest and check ups on tap.

Brilliant interview on Parkinson back in the 70s. I wish we could see her speaking more often, she is so dry and funny.

I used to work for one of the charities Princess Anne is involved with. I like her. She's a bit scary and takes no nonsense but she really knows her stuff, isn't afraid to get stuck in, and she's not hidebound by protocol. She speaks her mind!

I don’t think I’ve ever heard her speak so extensively- I’m quite surprised she doesn’t seem to have quite as plummy an accent as DoC does!

She is very beautiful and could have been more obviously so but for her dated hairstyle and complete disinterest in fashion, but this somehow makes her more endearing

I saw an interview with her when she was talking about the nanny who favoured Charles because he was the heir. Charles got spoiled and she always got into trouble! She was very funny and dry about it. She laughed at the recollection.

I remember seeing that interview, Clionba. She referred to Child Number 1 and Child Number 2, as I recall. Very droll. I imagine she had a lot of self-confidence even as a small child.

Yes! That's right. I think it was that programme for the Queen's 90th where they looked at old home movies? It was really entertaining. Child 1 and Child 2!

Tiniest little bump that you can only say is a baby because the happy news has been confirmed. Otherwise people would surely be Hmm and saying she could have just had a big breakfast. I find it funny people saying they could tell she was pregnant before it was announced. I personally think it was the oversized outfit at Eugenie’s wedding that made her look pregnant not th pregnancy itself IYKWIM

All the ridiculous speculation about would Kate miss Eugenie's wedding to DASH to Pippas bedside was most bizarre

Not only was Pippa not with Kate at her births their own DM wasn't

And as it was, Pippa was AT the wedding. 😂
