Kate’s apparently really into planks and of course we all know about the yoga. ( no wonder Harry can’t keep his hands off her....)

I think you might be starting a rumour there @CurlyWurlyTwirly WinkGrin

@ QueenOfTheAndals

Even the Spencer’s haven’t aged well. Perhaps Diana was a genetic aberration; but we’ll never know...
Seeing how beautiful Doria still is in her 60s, and of course Meghan; there is a good chance that Megs and Harry’s kids will continue to be gorgeous.
Charlotte I’m afraid is pure Hanoverian, but she has the personality!
George will be the spit of Michael Middleton when he grows up. And Michael has luxuriant hair!

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 02/10/2018 07:34

Oops; forgot to add Meghan into that sentence. But that would be a major scandal. Harry & Kate.... eek!

Clionba · 02/10/2018 07:38

Mathilde looks lovely. Extra marks for green suede shoes. She has a mum tum (like me Smile!) something we will never witness with Kate or Meghan more than a few months post partum. Emerald green would be great on either woman, let's have a change from blue and black.

QueenOfTheAndals · 02/10/2018 07:53

Agree re George @CurlyWurlyTwirly. The blond hair and twee outfits fool people into thinking he looks like William but he's the spit of Pa Middleton. And as you say, no fears of premature hair loss there! Harry's done well to hang onto his locks thus far but William deciding to shave it off was probably the best move he made. To think how luxuriant it was in his early 20s though!

I have a friend who met Camilla and Charles a few years ago in a rather informal setting.Anyway she said that she was really friendly, down to earth and with a really good sense of humour.Charles and herself were only interested in being in nature and going for long walks. She smoked a lot too apparently.

QueenOfTheAndals · 02/10/2018 07:55

@Clionba Kate must have abs of steel! Plus a personal trainer, chef, nanny and housekeeper of course...

QueenOfTheAndals · 02/10/2018 07:58

@schnubbins That doesn't surprise me at all about Camilla - what you see seems to be what you get with her. I wonder if the rumours about Kate being a smoker are true? I rather like the idea of her and Camilla having a sneaky fag round the back at Kensington palace while moaning about the bally children!

Oh I forgot my royal anecdote! Many years ago we were living overseas and my parents met Charles at some official government reception. Almost everyone there were expats from various different countries so he asked if they all worked for the UN. My parents thought it was hilarious that it didn't occur to him that a group of people of different races and cultures could work somewhere that wasn't the UN!!

I do feel a bit bad for saying this but I think George is a rather strange looking child. He never had a baby face and seems to have gone straight to grown up features without passing cute.

QueenOfTheAndals · 02/10/2018 10:42

I think George is quite sweet. He used to be very serious but seems to be livening up a bit now.

I met Charles earlier this year in Picardie at a 100 year commemoration of a WW1 battle. He was amazingly kind and charismatic. I took this photo.

So apparently Andrew's convinced ITV to
show Eugenie's wedding. I'll just be watching for the outfits!

Which reminds me, does anyone remember the rumours last year that he was dating Kylie Minogue???

OP posts:
SenecaFalls · 02/10/2018 11:22

I have met Charles, too. It was a long time ago, but it's a nice memory. He was very warm and easy to talk to. He smiled a lot and seemed very genuine.

QueenOfTheAndals · 02/10/2018 11:34

My inlaws met him and Diana at a garden party in the 80s. FiL's comment - "she wore a LOT of makeup"! Well it was the 80s...

I don’t understand how someone like Prince Philip who was so good looking and stylish when young produced 3 out of 4 quite dowdy children.

I'm trying to figure out who the not dowdy one is and I'm stumped!

George is very lucky to take after Michael Middleton. He is a fine looking man. Charlotte drew the short straw.

This lady www.ey.com/gl/en/about-us/entrepreneurship/entrepreneur-of-the-year/world-entrepreneur-of-the-year---speakers---herbert is the absolute spit of Eugenie. What is the connection?

The wedding will be televised? I'm looking forward to seeing the dresses but unfortunately will have to record it as my kid has something on. Darn it!

QueenOfTheAndals · 02/10/2018 12:28

@Jackietheduck That is Lord Porchester's granddaughter so make of that what you will!

I don't think Anne is dowdy - she was quite trendy as a young woman and even today has a style of dressing that only she can carry off. And Charles may be many things but poorly dressed he is not!

Jackietheduck · 02/10/2018 12:49

I wasn’t talking about clothes though. I was referring to their looks. That sounds awfully mean written down but they are not good looking. At all.

QueenOfTheAndals · 02/10/2018 13:46

Kate has made her appearance. Outfit is nothing to write home about but it's to be expected when she does outdoorsy engagements.

She has lost weight - you can see it in her face. Oh to have her personal trainer, chef, nutritionalist .....,,,and time.

beanaseireann · 02/10/2018 14:33

Jackie it's her will power I'd like Smile

WipsGlitter · 02/10/2018 15:03

What size do you think she is? A 6?

OlennasWimple · 02/10/2018 15:04

At the risk of sounding whingey, it really is so much easier for men to get it right - a well tailored suit and bingo! Flattering clothes

Is the whole wedding going to be televised, or just the interesting bits arrival and leaving?

QueenOfTheAndals · 02/10/2018 15:19

I don't think Kate looks any different to how she looked before. I've seen her in person and she's very tall and slim but fairly athletic-looking. I didn't think she looked unnaturally thin at all.

Agree re men's clothes @OlennasWimple which makes me wonder why Edward doesn't ditch the double-breasted suits. Cost can't be the issue surely. He is over 6ft and not bad-looking and could do much better!
