Don't like that dress on Sophie, it makes her look fat - and she certainly isn't that! I don't think it does her any favours really.

Paradyning · 11/10/2018 12:04

It's a lovely dress but you need to be an ironing board to wear it. A la Kate.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 11/10/2018 12:14

Agree that although the dress is striking and Sophie is definitely slim; it's not very flattering across her midsection and hips.
In black sequins with.a lower neckline; it would be amazing. Kate wears this kind of look really well; as she is so willowy and has very slim hips. Remember her Jenny Packham evening gowns back in the day ?

Loving the fact that the rendezvous is at a farm shop Grin

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 11/10/2018 12:41

Looks like a very nice farm shop
Can you imagine all the slebs parking up there. Robbie going " 'oi Elton get us a bacon sarnie while you're up there."
I hope there's some paps hanging around there as they get onto the coaches.

Cornwall73 · 11/10/2018 12:52

After the wedding they can get bit of shopping done Grin
I know someone the likes to call into that shop when she is on her way to and from London. She says it’s fantastic and often bumps into Phillip who is more often that not making an inappropriate comment about the size of the veg.

Dontfeellikeamillenial · 11/10/2018 12:55

Dunno about Kate because she seems a bit stiff but I reckon Meghan looks like a right laff. Bet they're good friends.

We're on countdown now to the wedding, it's tomorrow!

SenecaFalls · 11/10/2018 13:02

My favorite bit is the "no hand luggage" rule. Who would bring hand luggage to a wedding?

pallisers · 11/10/2018 13:11

I loved that dress on Kate. lovely neckline. She is looking remarkably happy these days.

The blue dress on Princess Mary in the link above is awful.

Jackietheduck · 11/10/2018 13:12

At 3.30om they are all being turned out back at the farm shop?!?!?!

Meanwhile the real friends will continue on to the party?

This can’t be tight surely?

The slebs will not allow themselves to be herded like cattle at the farm shop (what a fitting type of shop). I’m assuming this part is only for the public who are there to make up the numbers?

I’d love to see their wedding gift registry. Anyone know how to access it?

Jackietheduck · 11/10/2018 13:13

*right not tight obv.

Dontfeellikeamillenial · 11/10/2018 13:20

That's hilarious about the farm shop.

And talk about military! No phones etc, christ.

I thought they were gonna say no gifts at the wedding, please donate to XYZ charity, but oh no, please just send them on to BP! We wouldn't want the Pandora bracelets getting lost on the gift table would we now, oh no

Dontfeellikeamillenial · 11/10/2018 13:21

Both those dresses in the last pic are awful and unflattering. As curly says Sophie is slim but that dress is cut wrong on the arms. And that huge black bow looks like a box of milk tray

Dontfeellikeamillenial · 11/10/2018 13:24

Just seen this, hilarious 😂

ChicagoLil · 11/10/2018 13:27

I'll be in Windsor over half term. I'll pop in and see if there is any confetti detritus hidden behind the parsnips.

Dontfeellikeamillenial · 11/10/2018 13:28

Please do and report back Chicago Wine

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 11/10/2018 13:30

That black dress is hideous: the bow is like a rosette that you win pin on a winning cow at a farming competition.

QueenOfTheAndals · 11/10/2018 13:37

Did the Cambridges or Sussexes have a gift registry or did they ask for donations to charity?

OP posts:
Cornwall73 · 11/10/2018 13:50

The Sussexes has a charity list don’t know about the Cambridge’s

GreyPJs · 11/10/2018 13:50

It is absolutely not the done thing to have gift registries in the upper classes. It’s seen as frightfully grabby!

QueenOfTheAndals · 11/10/2018 13:54

Just googled and W&K also asked for charity donations instead of gifts. Is there no end to the Yorks' grabbiness???

Grabby? Most certainly. It is also poor form to give your bank account number and expect people to contribute to your house fund or your honeymoon. I cannot believe people would think that was acceptable on any level.

QueenOfTheAndals · 11/10/2018 14:03

@CurlyWurlyTwirly Kate did wear a dress similar to Sophie's at an event soon after George was born.

Thoughts on a teabreak...

Kate is looking soooo relaxed and happy right now. It's lovely to see. I still prefer her hair a bit shorter (as per the German trip) though and I love that Erdem dress.

Eugenie - still praying for Vivienne Westwood.

WTF is that blue monstrosity CP Mary is wearing? First time I've ever seen her get it wrong.

Sophie - we're about the same age and I usually love her style but this Baltic trip has all been a bit matronly.

Also her hair is really bothering me. The length is fine but her french pleat updo is very unflattering (and not even very nicely done) as is her square up 'n' back hairline. I hate to say this about any woman but it really is terribly ageing. The girl needs a fringe, even if it's only a side fringe or at least have her hair coming forward. Also the ends look in terrible condition when it's down. She and Max need new hairdressers, the pair of them. Or at the very least a good trim.

I love Sophie's glittery frock (and the hair funnily enough) although it looks like she needed a decent [in a Miss Jean Brodie voice] foundation garment.

QueenOfTheAndals · 11/10/2018 14:18

Agree Charlotte, no matter how slim you are, Spanx are always your friend when it comes to dresses like that! No shame in going up a size either.
