Lunch today with friends in London, wearing Papillon Tobacco Rose. Don't get tobacco here but I do get a punchy, sour, green rose that I love.

Wandered into Liberty, had a good sniff sesh. Ended up spending quite a lot...but on skincare rather than perfume Blush

@MrsR8 I'm all for enabling! Let us know which is your favourite when it arrives.

UnnecessaryFennel · 04/11/2018 19:28

Oh, that niche box looks quite fab. Sadly I've already more than blown this month's budget on Sunday Riley Hmm

I would like to give the Miller Harrises a try though...I'm just in the mood for something soft and powdery.

Blimey MrsR8 - thought you were going to tell us you'd bought 2 X £120 100mls at 4160Ts in order to get you hands on 100ml of Midnight in the Palace Garden (or something) Grin Grin.

Given that box contains 30mls of Escentric Molecules 04, I reckon we'll either be very happy, or able to defray the outlay by flogging it on eBay?

I thought so too. Lots of sandalwood in that box. Am quite interested to try another Map of the Heart - thought that their one was one of the best from that box we did for the big sniff. (Hope Blue is OK?).

Mmmm a Sunday Riley spend up fennel - wonderful!

I put together a 4160 basket of testers in preparation for 3for2, plus a candle. Then gave myself a stern talking to, as only have one more month of full pay before going down to SMP, and have to pay for Christmas. So the basket has been emptied... sad times.

UnnecessaryFennel · 04/11/2018 20:07

I know, lots, I had to shut my eyes at the price but Sunday Riley is the first brand I've ever tried that makes a genuine difference to my skin. It's actually got rid of the 11s between my eyes!

Was it the gold Map of the Heart we tried on the Big Sniff? I really liked that, must dig it out sometime.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 04/11/2018 20:24

SOTD is MH Rose Silence. I love Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip, fennel, what did you buy?

UnnecessaryFennel · 04/11/2018 20:30

I bought the Holiday Heroes box, which has Good Genes, Ceramic Slip, Luna, CEO and Tidal. Good Genes is the only one which is full size but it's the one I really wanted anyway; the other bits and bobs are a bonus.

Plus a lovely box to keep perfume samples in Wink

Yes, Fennel - have just retried, big fizzy pepper opening then it comes out somewhere between mineral and aspirin. (Not dank or vegetal like bat, but a dry mineral vibe. I quite like it.).

I have never thought of wearing perfumes to complement a season. This is something I'm going to look into and a good excuse to buy something new. I almost always wear my usual scent so maybe it's time for a change this winter

toffee1000 · 04/11/2018 22:37

Neither have I neuro, most of my perfumes are summery anyway, as I tend to like floral/fruity perfumes. I do have the Vanilla Eau de Toilette from the Body Shop, but that’s just a singular one-note scent, and not like a designer perfume. There’s one perfume I have my eye on that could be considered autumnal I guess, but as implied I don’t own it. I tend to just wear whichever perfume I fancy!!

Take me to the River? Or is there another one?

SotD Traversee du Bosphore. Perfect; rose, apples and leather.

Ugh, back at work after a blissful lazy week off. SOTD is Pierre Guillaume Felanilla, a green iris-y vanilla. Marvellous stuff.
