I haven’t sniffed Eau My Soul.

Decided on Midnight in the Palace Garden for my SOTD. I adore this one and will one day splurge on a FB (not today, though! ).

Peach too soon to tell - what else can you test him on?

Peach's husband has explained why Eay my Soul smells a bit like Seville a L'Aube . I like it - scratches the same sort of itch as L'AdDM. But the outrageous exuberance of Shazam! makes me happier.

He's doesn't play ball when I want him to MrsL. When I shove my wrist under his nose and ask for feedback I get the standard "that's nice"

When I least expect it he comes out with the bizarre comparisons. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Had time for a two minute sniff in a small-town French perfume shop this morning. Now have a spot of 2013 formulation Tocade on my wrist- love it so much. I have bucketloads of the earlier incarnation left, and they've just announced a 2018 version, but this one is gorgeous.

Sorry MrsR - my Amberama came to a sad end on the kitchen floor. From memory it's one part Mrs G's Lemon Sherbet (not sure if you have smelt that?) and one part an amber/modern cedar accord.

Whoever said Lemon Sherbet should've been called Lemon Meringue Pie was right - it's a very vanillary/puddingy citrus.

Easy, powdery Chloe Love as SOTD for a trip to the hairdressers to get my fringe (aka poor woman’s Botox) cut back in .

Amberama is nice. Not a 4160 fave, but a definite like. Sweet citrusy opening, then gets woody and quite resinous. Kittens kindly gave me a sample ages ago but it’s almost gone, unfortunately, Mrs8.

Been awol as finally got my contract renewed (on proviso from headmistress that they could keep me till the money runs out ) and started a short term course in another school the same week, so feet haven't touched the ground.

It's been a straight exchange these days between Shalimar/PP Samsara and PP (and real) Opium.

Have sold all the 9ml 4160s I bought over the summer because I don't like them. Have kept my beloved London 1969 and Ealing Green but the rest have gone via the bay of E to more welcoming homes.

My colleague with the oud-fetish gave me some samples....the house is called I profumi del marmo. By heck they like their nappied oud. One smells OK but the others are mingers. Expensive mingers.

Does anyone have Accord Chic by Yves Rocher?
I’ve discovered I really like Elemi via the bloom incense & resin set.
To me it smells of lemon & pine and really reminds me of Wrappings bracing aspect. Accord Chic has Elemi & incense in it but also such variable reviews.I’m intrigued to see what anyone thinks of it on here.
Peach I ignore my dh when it comes to perfumes as he doesn’t like any. It must be in the genes as ds 1 doesn’t either. Thankfully the other three do. The dd’s trot out beautifully perfumed every day.
