I have been in the actual naughty cupboard at 4160 Tuesdays. It is an actual cupboard and I was so happy I got emotional.

Second day in a row I've got to 7pm without perfume. Busy and sleep deprived.

Hi, popping in again.
Although I like perfume, I’m still in a phase of only wearing makeup/perfume for special occasions. I may well transition to wearing it more often in the future, I have thought about it but just not done it yet. Perhaps I’ll do it in the New Year, not as a resolution as such but just as an experiment. I’ve got quite a few products but don’t really use them!!

Went into a shop today to test a perfume I’d seen online and liked the look of, I’ve got lingering notes of Ô d’Azur by Lancôme on my wrist. It’s a nice scent, but rather summery. Come to think of it, most of my preferred scents are summery, as I like fruity/floral best... there’s one I like (but don’t actually own) that could be considered vaguely autumnal. And here you all are discussing autumn perfumes!! Grin

MissB I love your blog!

Dh came home from a work trip today with a bottle of jimmy choo illicit flower for me. I would never have picked this for myself in 100 years - it strikes me as being just a very generic floral. However I'm enjoying it in spite of myself. Possibly because this is the first time dh has ever chosen a perfume for me off his own back or maybe because it's filled a gap in my perfume collection that I didn't even know was there. Anyway it's never going to be my favourite but it'd be perfect for a date night or something.

SOTD MMM Lazy Sunday Morning.

MrsLucas · 01/11/2018 22:44

It's a slippery slope Toffee . One minute you just have an occasional sniff, but before you know it, you're looking round the house for things to sell on eBay to pay for your next hit. Be warned!Grin

looks at Amazon wish list, spots that there are two perfumes already on there
Uh oh... GrinGrin

OutComeTheWolves · 02/11/2018 06:22

Blah he's been working away for nearly a year and this is the first time he's bought me anything other than sweets from the airport WH Smith's. Not sure what prompted it but I'm hoping he does it again! Although when he handed it to me his words were 'this was the cheapest one that smelled nice.'

OutComeTheWolves · 02/11/2018 06:24

Oh and Blah you should definitely buy it. Once it disappears from tk max it might never return and there's no worse regret than a bargain you missed out on.

MissBattleaxe · 02/11/2018 08:20

Thank you @OutComeTheWolves!

I like it when people buy me random perfume. Most people avoid doing it as I do the blog, but I love getting random stuff I might have missed. My brother bought me Rihanna Reb'l Fleur. It smells like Flowerbomb. Bit sweet for me in the end but I would never have discovered it otherwise.

I've discovered lots of great things via randomness-Discovery boxes especially!

Mrs8 Stella is still one of the very few floral perfumes that I love. It's a gorgeous scent.

UnnecessaryFennel · 02/11/2018 09:04

Tried Mrs Gloss Lemon Sherbet this morning. It's not for me. I therefore have two 2ml samples going begging if anyone fancies them?

DP has only ever bought me perfume once, when I said 'I want this bottle for Christmas, you can get it from this site'. Tbh I don't mind really, buying for someone else is a minefield.

Although, I have been thinking; we've still not got around to buying an engagement ring...I might just ask him to get me a bottle of Une Rose Chypree instead and I'll wear it on the day Grin

Morning, Fragrant Ones!

I love Stella. Rarely wear it anymore, but it was my favourite perfume for years, before I stopped having a ‘signature scent’ and got hooked on perfume Grin. It has that slightly Turkish Delight vibe that I love.

No SOTD yet. Day off work today and still lounging about...

PositivePeach · 02/11/2018 09:19

DH accidentally walked through my Eau my soul cloud this morning and declared it was exactly the same as beeswax furniture polish! Also Pillow talk is on his intense dislike list, as apparently it smells like I just fell in a bush.

I can't work out if his nose is exceptional or broken?

AdoraBell · 02/11/2018 09:35

Have you had any comments from anyone else Peach?

PositivePeach · 02/11/2018 10:27

Unfortunately not Adora. The only perfume I get consistently complimented on is Angel, although I'm under no illusion that there are probably more people gagging behind my back when I wear it.

I love Eau my soul, and pillow talk and won't stop wearing them - his descriptions just make me laugh Grin

UnnecessaryFennel · 02/11/2018 10:44

Eau My Soul does have a very slight honey/beeswaxy vibe; I can see where he's coming from peach

Have scrubbed Lemon Sherbet and am in Chergui instead - much more appropriate for a crisp Autumn day.

MissBattleaxe · 02/11/2018 11:07

I love Eau My Soul. I'm a member of the FB group of the same name and we all voted for the ingredients so I feel like a put a brick in the wall!

I also strongly recommend Scenthusiam from 4160 Tuesdays. It's like gin without the gin- all berries and pretty light things.
