SOTD Gucci Flora Mandarin for ‘soccer mom’ duties.

Feel like I’m coming down with something just in time for half term. Grrrrr.

Just discovered Jo Malone Myrrh and Tonka. It’s amazing. Not too heavy but does lean a little masculine

I’d recommend giving this a try

BookMeOnTheSudExpress · 21/10/2018 16:45

Pp Opium today. Dd asked if I'd lit a Christmas candle because she could smell Christmas.
Have added it to her Christmas present list.

BookMeOnTheSudExpress · 21/10/2018 16:46

I love myrrh and frankincense notes!

Mrsr8....it opens with a blast of lavender (I’m not a lover of lavender) but that quickly goes and it settles into a gorgeous almondy/frangipane scent but it isn’t sickly sweet and heavy. It’s a warm spicy and sweet scent that is perfect for autumn/winter...it does lean a little masculine but not terribly so. It’s in the JM cologne intense line so lasts well too

SOTD Hypnotic Poison.

Got a stinking cold, but am going to attack the housework today rather than lounge on the sofa (which is what I really feel like doing).

Coffee at the ready!

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 22/10/2018 13:44

SOTD is PP Amber Oudh. Nice and a good scent for the cooler weather

Cherrypi · 22/10/2018 14:32

Sotd is black opium that I tried in boots. The man behind the counter said “Are you sure you want to try it? It's very strong. Who recommended it to you?” I replied mumsnet and he went Aah. Don’t know what all that meant. I quite like it. I think I like the base but not the white floral top notes. Have the pp fireplace sample heading to me. First time I’ve used them.

SOTD is AG Heure Exquise, for a funeral. But a glorious day, a stunning 12th century church overlooking rolling hills, a beautiful service and lots of old friends, so as positive as these things can ever be.

Now home and comforting indulging myself with scones, clotted cream and plum jam.

I'm also awaiting a PP order- By The Fireplace was such a success that I've ordered about 10 different 3ml roll ons to try. Can't even remember what they are now! Will share my thoughts when they arrive in case it helps anyone.

I posted a couple of weeks back about a birthday perfume dilemma- finally settled on MFK Baccarat Rouge and so pleased I did, it's just stunning. Just a couple of sprays at 7:30am this morning and I still keep getting lovely wafts of it. I'm going to keep it for weekends, and hopefully will find a couple of PP dupes for work from the pile I've ordered.

UnnecessaryFennel · 22/10/2018 19:10

My order of Chergui and Gingembre should be waiting for me at work tomorrow

3TresTrois · 22/10/2018 19:18

Love Heure Exquise, Fennel (and glad the funeral went as well as these things can).

SOTE is Angel Muse. Hate Angel with a passion, and this starts out the same, but the drydown is more mellow. Creamier, less screeching. Not a love but the first Mugler I have ever found wearable.

MrsLucas · 22/10/2018 19:29

SotD is Les Nuits d'Hadrien. Perfect soapy amber/citrus. Not sure where the Nuits come in - this is a very good, comforting but clean smelling scent that is perfect for day time. Has just enough complexity to be satisfying. Just about got me through v scary work day.

Cheap and cheerful fun continues - my back-up bottle of Paradoxe has arrived together with minis of Halston Z14, Brooks Bros Black Fleece, and a small FB of Clarins Jardin-something. The Halston is stunning - opens like a deeper Cardin Choc, spicy green citrus, but without the aldehydes, and with a faint growl of leather. Then the woody/mossy notes come through. Looking for a full bottle...

SOTD Tom Ford Santal blush

Cakemonger · 23/10/2018 09:44

Can anyone suggest a good autumnal perfume if I don't like strong or overpowering scents?

I liked escentric molecules when I tested it but unfortunately was later ill that same day and fainted at work so completely went off it...
