Do you think the whole of MN is like this or is there a spooky tie-up between perfume and feminism?

SotE is a second helping of Paradoxe. This is very much in a Paloma Picasso/Magie Noire model. Have checked on batch fresh and it seems my bottle was made in 2012 (or 2002). Also seems to have been discontinued?

I don’t know, mrsL but I truly hate the assumption that you can’t care about looking nice (or smelling nice) and be a feminist.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 17/10/2018 23:43

SOTE is PP dupe of Lushs Karma. it's a spot on dupe for it, very pleased with this and i think i will get a bigger bottle at some point

SOTD is White Queen. God, this is good. I wasn't sure when I first got it, but it has got better ever time I've worn it. Luscious stuff.

Branleuse · 18/10/2018 08:18

feminist perfume lover here too

OutComeTheWolves · 18/10/2018 08:43

Another perfume obsessed feminist here.

BookMeOnTheSudExpress · 18/10/2018 08:52

PP 24 Faubourg today. Sweet but classy. Not something you often find me saying Grin

MrsLucas · 18/10/2018 09:05

Fennel there is s frankincense note in Paradoxe. It smells like 1983 though. (In a good way).

oooh ive just receieved my PP fireside perfume. I REALLY like it.
It reminds me of my AP bois farine, but more leathery and with a tiny touch of vanilla but not too much. Really good.

I also got their copy of Jo Malone Limeblossom which im delighted about. Its not a perfect copy but its pretty good. Be interested to see the longevity and how it wears, although I dont think its the right time of year for it, but since its one of my favourite scents and JM are discontinuing it, im really happy to find a dupe. I dont think i could live without this perfume

FloofyCatLovesAutumn · 18/10/2018 11:23

Fish I thought maybe it was Chanel No. 5 (which I actually love but know it's a bit marmite)

OneNight I adore the PP Karma! Mine is on old bottle now but I felt it had a touch more citrus than the Lush one, which I like.

SOTD is PP By The Fireplace accessorised with an inhaler. The longevity is amazing, in fact I wonder if it might be a bit much for me as it's pretty much immediately Vanilla from start to finish, not much smoke on my weird skin. I love it though and wonder if it will be different when my chest clears. Thank you MrsR** for your enabling here

Hurrah for all wonderful smelling GC feminists! I will meet you at the barricades, in fact I may or may not have some suitable stickers . Definitely need an extension to the Venn diagram. Judy I remember when your poor student got her arse handed to her, I did feel for her though. It can be intimidating, I often feel I am not articulate enough especially at the moment with no SPaG which is why I'm up for some direct action. My DD bought me some suffragette badges the other day. I'm proud

SOTD Black Opium.

Think I cracked it out too early. I love this in cold weather, but was a bit cloying for work today.

Ooo I also wore Black opium today too!

And then I popped into Debenhams and sprayed Guerlain's Spiriteuse Double Vanille, because yanno, lovely.

3TresTrois · 18/10/2018 18:09

Barracker

Barracker · 18/10/2018 18:16

3TresTrois · 18/10/2018 18:50

Yes! Barracker.

I’ve got a big bottle of it. I tend to use it to amp up the slightly smoky vanilla vibe in other fragrances, though, rather than on its own.

3TresTrois · 18/10/2018 19:24

SOTE Cologne of the Missions! Nice just out of the shower. Thanks for the reminder, Barracker.

teta · 18/10/2018 19:48

D l’parie by l’Occitane tested today. I really like it it - sort of dry and resinous with hay and myrrh. It’s a reformulation and I find it pretty gentle. Has anyone tried the original?
You know regarding feminism there are so many arguments as to what feminism actually is, I’m unsure I am one or not. All I know is having 2 boys n 2 girls I believe in equal rights for both. Whatever that is.

CountFosco · 18/10/2018 20:19

Cheap and cheerful today in BBW Wild Honeysuckle which I do love, it's a simple cheerful white floral. Not much left in the bottle now though.
