Grin blah, a woman after my own heart with your 'accidental' Tauer purchases! Both Au coeur and Rose chypree are amazing, imo. You have fabulous taste.

SOTD is Who Knew?, talking of big roses. It's not lasting very well this morning, though.

Movingtobucks · 11/10/2018 14:36

Got one - not any of those suggested but I probably wouldn’t have dared go over to the counter without some MN knowledge behind me!

The winner was Bulgari Goldea the golden knight - STBDH approves as well Grin.

Thanks so much ladies Smile

Can anyone find me something similar to Oscar by Oscar De la Renta please.

Everytime I have tried I get offered something far too floral for my liking.

I fancy a change not because I have fallen out of love with it.

SOTE is Poeme. Still feeling poorly (and had a hellish day at work today), and this is warming and cheering me right up.

Branleuse · 11/10/2018 19:42

SOTD is boudoir - Vivienne Westwood. I had a bottle that was coming near the end that ive had for years and I heard it had changed slightly, so I got a new bottle and whilst it still obviously the same scent, I do think its slightly lighter and easier to wear now. Still great longevity

Fennel I love Who Knew more than is healthy. Might have a spritz before bed.

CountFosco · 11/10/2018 22:26

Not been on here much lately. Busy with work and need to buy tons of stuff for the house, we've persuaded MIL to come to ours for Christmas (her first as a widow) and now all of DHs family are coming to stay so I'll be feeding 12 on Christmas Day. That's the easy bit, because they are staying I need to buy more beds and duvets and pillows and towels and sheets. Mega trip to IKEA coming up so no perfume buying at the moment. Oh, and I'm going to be mega busy over Christmas at work so might have to leave instructions for DH on the day.

SotD Still Life. Fabulous citrus and pepper opening then settled down to a more masculine scent (lots of galbanum). Really liked this.

Count I wondered how your move was going! I'm so glad it's not just me thinking about Christmas already and guests like sardines. Do you have any camping stuff stored away you could press into service like airbeds and sleeping bags?

Fennel I'm sorry you're having a rough time. Wine and scent definitely prescribed for you Thanks

Waitrose can't add to the violet recommendations here but if you like body spray too, Yardley do a gorgeous violet one. And rose. And lily

Reaa I have never tried Oscar but looking at MrsR's "if you liked xxx you'll like" I really should try it as that list looks heavenly!

Moving another perfume wedding, how exciting Smile Have you got a big bottle so you can wear it on each anniversary along with your wedding dress, please tell me it's not just me that does this Wink Hope you have a fabulous day Thanks

Btw OneNight I know I'm late with this, but have they given you an inhaler? I also get a tight/wheezy chest at this time of year and an inhaler usually helps enough to get away without steroids. I'm not a doctor though (obvs) and mine isn't for "proper" asthma it's just the legacy of previous lung issues.

In fact I'm suffering right now and have worn the same nightie straight for two days ShockBlush I didn't even wear perfume yesterday (even more Shock) but might risk some vintage Obsession today for comfort, along with a heated blanket and a cat!

Floofy we already have 2 single airbeds that will be used plus we're buying a new double airbed (plus two sofabeds!). We had intended to get most of it anyway, just not quite so urgently!

CountFosco · 12/10/2018 07:51

Oh, and to add to an old discussion on here if I need to be impressive for work I always wear either Papillon Dryad or MG Lemon (someone on Fragantica describes it as good perfume to wear when you have to deliver bad news), both non-floral chypres.

Wearing Dryad today actually, this is absolutely my favourite perfume. Bronnley Wild Green is a cheaper perfume that has some of the same feel although not quite such a powerhouse.
