Could you please tell me what you think of this dress and whether it looks big on me? Many thanks!

I'd really steer clear of the dresses that just drop down, they do nothing for you and you have a fab figure.

I suggested 3, you look fab in it but appreciate it's not you and it does look quite daytime. You also look lovely in the velvety one i'd definitely keep that for Christmas party season!

My fave is 6 for what you need now, but could you size down it looks a bit big?

It's a pretty dress. However I think it's one of them. It looks better off than on.

Oh dear ... frankly the only one that looks nice is the oasis one . You are very slim and those wide dresses are really suited to apple shapes with skinny legs which you aren't . Are you conscious of your figure as you seem to be hiding it .. I really think you can do much much better .

I like the velvet one the best, it's gorgeous on you Also like the Oasis one but I agree it looks daytime.

I think you should go for a really wow dress. You are playing it safe.

Agree that the non-waist styles are for apple shapes.

I really like the second from last, as you say maybe in a size down.

Love the second to last one. Have you looked at Sister Jane? I think the styles are quirky in a way you'd like and they aren't ridiculous prices.

I love dress 6 (of the latest ones you've added) OP it is gorgeous on you, but I suspect you are a size smaller than you buy for. So if you're buying a 10 you need an 8 and if you're buying an 8 you need a 6.

#6 is the nicest (and #4 is lovely too, but as you say, more of a winter dress.)

The one you say you've ordered in a smaller size (#7?) is ok, but again, just too shapeless IMHO.

I agree number 6 looks great on you. Number 7 (the one you’ve ordered in a smaller size) could be good too, but you’re a bit drowned in it. I echo those above who say you have a misperception of your size - everything you’ve ordered seems to be a size bigger than you really need.

I don't really like the bottom of it but actually i cant honestly see how it swamps you. It looks quite neat on the bust on you [not tight but just right] I am not a fan of the bottom frills or whatever they are but its not as bad as others are making out.

Anyway, I never felt 100% confident in it, so I decided to get something new instead...

I love #6 but I swear it really does not look good on me. The picture actually looks much better than real life. I have very small boobs and they totally disappear in it, and the fabric sticks to my bum in a weird way!

To those saying I bought the wrong size - those were actually the sizes suggested to me by ASOS! or in some cases (like #6) the smallest available. Having said that, I do have a misperception of my size too

@FellSwoop - many thanks for the links, there is one there that I love, but it is too late now, I am flying on Saturday. I will keep the brand in mind for next time.
