Could you please tell me what you think of this dress and whether it looks big on me? Many thanks!

OP, have you tried the dress with a belt (or scarf) round the waist? It might give it a better shape. Worth a try before you completely discount it if you like the material and colour.

@ShirleyPhallus - I know, thanks. It is indeed funny, I am taking advice from strangers and I might not even like their dress sense!

But that's fine, and I do appreciate all the comments even if it upset me a bit today when I felt I was back to square one.

@Jackietheduck - forgot to answer. Temperature should be 18-20 degrees. I am not there yet, flying next Saturday!

@CowInTheMeadow - I will still try to take it in a bit or tie it as you suggest, who knows

Must say that the pictures are awful. I think it is the lighting, should have taken them somewhere with brighter light but I am too tired to try them all again...

Anyway, here we go

I actually like this one, but it's far too short, I'm naked when I lift my arms - not good for dancing!

I had big expectations for this one, but I am not sure now...

This one was suggested by a PP. I love the fabric, but it is not me at all. Also, it feels very day dress

I love this one. It is totally not what I need now, as the fabric is far too thick (velvety) but I will probably keep it anyway

My favourites are Nos. 4 and 6. Might you need No. 6 in a smaller size? T

The first is too short. You have fab legs btw and can easily carry it off but you might be self conscious and perhaps inappropriate for a work event. Imo the dresses that are cinched in are far more flattering on you. The velvet one in particular looks amazing. I'd really put aside the ones that just hang from your chest. They are tent like and your figure deserves to be shown off.
