I quite liked that dress on the website.. but didn't order as couldnt think when i would wear it..
Yes my horribly expensive Cashmere is making me very happy, but i cannot afford to buy things like that too often... unlike Kate

Laska5772 · 02/10/2018 20:23

Hope you're slightly more cheery today soy .It is horrible coming home to a suddenly petless place (I still think of our old Mabelcat and she left us 14yrs ago before we got this old one )

SoyYo · 02/10/2018 20:29

Yes I am laska the snake print and RocknRoll T certainly helped and I’m straight in with busy work which doesn’t leave me time to sit and ponder too much (probably a good thing and did lots of pondering on long beach walks during my hols), thank you for asking.
DH has just given the 👍to my Hush purchases including the weird dress! He says it makes my arse look good...not keeping but it did make me wonder Confused

Laska5772 · 02/10/2018 20:53

Does this remind anyone of anything? Wink

or this?

So cm'on Hush , you need to get trendsetting again!

ilovecherries · 02/10/2018 21:15

I think that’s true, laska. Now I’ve been doing Hush for a full year, so through all the seasons, it’s beginning to feel a bit samey AND it’s all appearing elsewhere as well

Ellapaella · 02/10/2018 22:10

@zippyswife I'll be getting my DM's a Christmas present. I'll be wearing them with everything - skinny jeans and oversized jumpers, long baggy cardigans - cosy knits. my two zebra skirts and opaques.
I don't there's much you can't wear with DM's to be honest.

Cherries I think you look great in the jacket. Add a scarf and you are good to go. I have not had my jacket off. I love it. To me, its like a smart coat. I agree though, if it doesnt feel right then don't keep but just wanted to give you the thumbs up. I dont think it looks too formal. I think you can dress it down easily like you have in the picture and team it with a scarf. Its a great length for lots of tunics and dresses and even for cardis under it.
Love the jada tunic. I ordered it and really liked it but it was too pricey.
That is an utter disgrace about the kensington btw. I cant get over it.
They are truly taking the piss.
My snake skirt came and ordered the black one. Like them both but need to wait for daylight to see which one i like the best. I dont want something that is overly dressy so that will be the deal braker.

neveradullmoment99 · 02/10/2018 22:19

The snakeskin is like a ghostly grey. Really like it :)

Ellapaella · 02/10/2018 22:25

Post pics tomorrow never? I'm very tempted to order it.

zippyswife · 02/10/2018 22:26

@ellapaella that is exactly the kind of enabling I was after. Thank you. What colour are you getting. I was hankering for the Hush Avebury boots- but i think I’ve decided DMs at a fraction of the price are probably going to date less too

Ellapaella · 02/10/2018 22:26

I like the idea of the skirt with black biker or chunky boots, and a black cashmere jumper.

OP posts:
Ellapaella · 02/10/2018 22:26

@zippyswife I love the cherry red but will probably go with black as more versatile with my current wardrobe I think.

I will try and post tomorrow but am working all day so it will probably be on Thursday :)
Love the idea of the black chunky biker boots and black cashmere jumper. I don't have a black cashmere jumper...

ilovecherries · 02/10/2018 23:43

Thanks never about the jacket. The itch is scratched though and it’s on its way back. I also mentioned upthread that I’ve sent my snakeskin skirt back. I loved it, but the instant I put boots or trainers on it staticed itself to my legs and after 30 mins it was positively indecent. Underskirt round my waist and skirt itself sticking between my legs and all sorts.

ilovecherries · 02/10/2018 23:47

On the subject of boots. Black or a sort of conker Brown? I’ve been wearing a pair of fly London Chelsea boots today and discovered that the thick rubber sole made them wearable for several hours. This is a huge improvement on last year, where I could wear them, but needed a stick to walk with them on. Would like a knee length pair as well, but can’t decide on colour.

Laska5772 · 03/10/2018 08:51

Hard one Cherries I wear black and grey boots mostly. ( Would love some Fly or Moshulu dark red ones ) Howeverthere is not much that goes with brown boots in my wardrobe.( Navy does but I still tend to wear grey with it) only brown boots I have in brown are my v old 'country' boots .

I have decided to return the ochre / mustard JL chunky jumper also cherries. The neck and length was bothering me ,( neck too close and length a tad too short.) I like the style of new grey and orange ones much more and think they will be much more wearable.

Laska5772 · 03/10/2018 08:54

Am Well Husheesta today! Charcoal wide top zebra leggings. Star necklace. Also first outing for the Ash black star trainers Smile

ilovecherries · 03/10/2018 09:45

Yes, I’m mithering on about the length as well, laska. I’m prepared to pay decent money for cashmere as I wear it to death, but it needs to be perfect and I wonder if I will always be tugging at it. I might go and try those other ones if you feel they are better. I’m wearing my star jeans and the custard Vickie today. I saw your note upthread which prompted me to get it out to try. It’s such a happy colour, it makes me smile every time I pass the mirror

ilovecherries · 03/10/2018 09:48

Re the boots, for now I’ve ordered the conker to try them, as that was the only colour in my size on Amazon that had free returns. If they fit and I can wear them I will probably return and order black.

Laska5772 · 03/10/2018 10:51

I think the length of that chunky jumper is great with skirts but I wear jeans a lot in the winter. As a fishermans style I really do now think it needed to be longer on me. Alsothe neckline on the grey and orange ones is much better on me. Was mostly swayed by the colour really but the Joules Lilly,- despite being a completely different sort of jumper- has scratched the ochre itch for me ( and I have already worn that one twice) .

ilovecherries · 03/10/2018 11:18

I love how we all have itches needing scratched!

Laska5772 · 03/10/2018 11:53

I think we have all been giving them to each other Grin

Ellapaella · 03/10/2018 12:24

@Laska5772 apparently Joules are doing 25% off today only with the code FAN500k

  • y'know just in case you were thinking of ordering anymore of the boatneck jumpers.
I'm quite tempted myself.

For ella the Marina skirt with an old Uniglo heatech black top and trainers, and with leather jacket and boots, just threw it on to show you. Don’t forget I’m a) even fatter than usual at the moment and b) 5 3” tall so bordering on petite so it’s more of a maxi length on me. But it doesn’t swamp me (I think) because there’s not as much material as the black version. I’ve had no static issues with it either (fingers crossed).
Hope this helps as I’ve just thrown it on, and that pics show the fabric clearly.
On you due to being slimmer and taller it’ll look fab but you will need woolly tights in winter as fabric is whisper light...
