Cherries I found the Cos links but I am laughing my head off because the styling on the website is SO AWFUL. They really do look so much nicer in real life.

Skirt: www.cosstores.com/en_gbp/women/skirts/product.long-wool-cotton-skirt-black.0701620001.html

Cardigan (easily warm enough to wear as a light coat): www.cosstores.com/en_gbp/women/womenswear/knitwear/cardigans/product.oversized-wool-blend-cardigan-black.0559858001.html

Laska, JL do indeed ship to the US, I'll investigate if that's faster or cheaper. Thank you!

Flowers for Laska and Soy.

Morning. Quick post from me before work as my order arrived yesterday and I took photos but forgot to post them.
The lightning sweatshirt I think I'll keep. I love the pink velour streak, but hesitating as it's quite thick and bulky.
The Bibi top is a definite no. The pattern is lovely but the material (viscose) has that cheap feel to it and the neckline is nothing special. The top looks like a top you'd find in Sainsbury's. And that's not to put them down, I have some great Tu stuff, but it's the type of top you pay £14 for and expect it'll be thin.
It's a no.

Finger both tops look good on you, but yes I thought the Bibi was a bit disappointing fabric wise. I like the sweat better on you than me. It felt a bit short on me (probably down to norkage )

ilovecherries · 02/10/2018 09:10

Sweat looks lovely on you, fudge. I tried it in JL but had to go to XL to get a reasonable length (again because of norkage,) but then the sleeves were down to my knees(well, almost!).

ilovecherries · 02/10/2018 09:12

noodle, the Cos website is hilarious. I can’t imagine how they sell anything from there. They have so few shops as well. Love both your items though.

ilovecherries · 02/10/2018 09:42

I’ve had hushmail!

Ok, the Shelley jacket is going right back. When I see it on in my own environment rather than in JL I realise it’s just too structured and formal for my current life, and the black is swamping me. I can see it just becoming my funeral jacket and I don’t want that for it. Disappointingly, I think the flori bag might have to go back as well. I like my cross body bags to sit a little lower, but this is in on the longest hole. Why don’t they make cross body bags with proper long straps. Back in a minute with the next three pictures...

This is the jada tunic. I got a small and it’s still pretty big on me, and I think it’s making me look a bit large. Another pick of the bag as well. I think the tunic might also go back, making it a VERY cheap round. What do you all think?

The jacket is also giving me 80s shoulders!

ilovecherries · 02/10/2018 10:19

I’ve also decided to send the snakeskin marina back. I love it...but...as soon as I put shoes on with it, it statics itself to my legs. Bare feet, sits beautifully, shoes (even without tights) it’s impossible to wear. It may be because all my boots have substantial rubber soles. The underskirt is also to blame though, it’s much finer and thinner than on the black marina I bought last year.

Ellapaella · 02/10/2018 10:46

@ilovecherries I love the jada tunic on you! Will be perfect with your coated leggings. Love it with your pendant.
I agree about the blazer, it's a nice length but maybe just a tad too square on the shoulders which makes it just look a tiny bit too formal.

Bag is lovely.

This week is the anniversary of when I lost my darling doggie. It was 6 years ago but I miss him so much Sad

Ellapaella · 02/10/2018 10:49

@AFingerofFudge shame about the Bibi top as I think it looks lovely.

Tunic good but I think you might try the XS to compare. Love the bag , could you get another hole put in ? ( Tindalls would do it q cheaply) . I really like the blazer on you actually. But if it feels to formal then yes, you probably wouldn't wear it.
I have aJL orange cashmere waiting for me ( yes I know it's stonkingly £££ but love d it so in the shop) and a new look green leopard skirt ( but will check the price if they have any in the shop. ) I also ordered a n Oasis burgundy cord skirt last night.. (that I also saw in JL and loved) .. Hush star jumper has gone back and MV skirt is in car ready to go

Laska5772 · 02/10/2018 11:02

(Oasis skirt ( but I think I also saw something similar and cheaper in Tu , will pop in on the way home after work)

Laska5772 · 02/10/2018 11:03

I like the top that is shown with the Oasis skirt also but can't see it online

ilovecherries · 02/10/2018 11:04

I don’t believe it. My Kensington replacement arrived today, and look at it! This is about 2-3 inches long.

SoyYo · 02/10/2018 11:18

cherries are they taking the piss with the Kensington? Complain!
I actually really like the black jacket on you and don’t think it swamps you at all (you’ve got the height to carry it off). The shoulders are not really 80’s but a nod to the decade, and the style/length is really on trend but if you don’t “feel” the love and don’t think you’ll wear enough I think it’s also a style that may only last a season or two so not worth keeping for the cost unless you get plenty of wear.
The Jada looks fine on you and seems so cozy, and the bag is gorgeous...
fudge loving the sweat on you, looks great! I think the flowery top also looks good, it reminds me of the SS18 Antibes tops (albeit less flouncy sleeves) which I love but got vastly reduced in the sale, it’s light polyester fabric and they hang really beautifully but wouldn’t have paid full whack.
enabled welcome back! I’ve put on quite a bit of weight in the last couple of months with a broken ankle and vacation excesses so not feeling remotely stylish at the moment. Like you the thread provides plenty of inspiration even when I’m not inspired by my own mirror image Wink

dontcallmelen · 02/10/2018 11:26

Afingeroffudge the sweat shirt looks good, maybe if it’s thick handy for under a thinner coat/jacket or with a vest under & no coat if not freezing, agree about the top can get very similar far cheaper.
cherries I like the tunic could be very useful, bit I would be tempted to try a size smaller as it’s a straighter shape than the more looser/wide tunic dresses, bag does seem a bit high up on you & could be annoying trying to get things out of it, would be tempted to try & get another couple of holes in the strap.

dontcallmelen · 02/10/2018 11:28

I like the black jacket, but agree with Soy if you are not feeling it then it will sit in your wardrobe.

Laska5772 · 02/10/2018 11:32

Good grief Cherries !! Shock

ilovecherries · 02/10/2018 11:51

Unfortunately the most I could squeeze out of the strap would be an inch, which would give less than .5 inch extra drop. I’m not sure where to put my arm, the bag is so in the way. I love it, but I just can’t get it to work. I am seriously pissed off about the Kensington dress. It also had a bloody tissue in the pocket. Well, it wasn’t bloody, but a crumpled up tissue. WTAF? Do they even check their returns.

dontcallmelen · 02/10/2018 11:54

Crikey it gets worse cherries

Laska5772 · 02/10/2018 11:55

Give them a rocket Cherries. The round Alina bag strap was too long if anything but then I don't usually wear bags crossbody. (I've decided that I am keeping both bag and skirt)
