Ebay question. Would you accept an offer for a £1 under the start price on an item that had 4 days to run and had 15 watchers? I hate the way ebay first asks you to set the minimum price you’d accept and then forces you into accepting offers, or pay for the listing?

Laska5772 · 30/09/2018 20:11

No I probably wouldnt .. what is it and how much are you asking ?

ilovecherries · 30/09/2018 20:17

Don’t mind at all, Laska, I thought I’d already said actually. No, it was the tiniest little walking accident. Slipped on some scree and fell backwards on top of a small boulder. It was the kind of accident that should have been no more than a bad bruise and a story in the pub. Except it did untold damage to a plexus of nerves in the back of my leg. Nothing worked, and I was on morphine patches off and on for years. I could never have imagined such pain. Labour was a rainy walk in the park by comparison. Then about 4 years ago I was referred to a surgeon who was willing to try something unusual. It was miraculous. I still have some nerve pain, and I have a lot of numb patches and weird sensations, plus my leg has contracted a bit, but it’s about 90% better. Im cautious still, because I can live with this, and I’d hate to go back there.

Laska5772 · 30/09/2018 20:31

Oh cherries .if you had I'd missed it..talk about ruddy unlucky!
When you spoke about having so much damage before I had wondered if you had gone under a bus or something. ..it just shows how easily these things are done..

Laska5772 · 30/09/2018 20:32

Air ambulance etc ?

neveradullmoment99 · 30/09/2018 21:07

No, I wouldn't accept that offer. I would decline it.
Sounds like you have been through a tough time Flowers

neveradullmoment99 · 30/09/2018 21:28

Well ordered both the black marina and the snake to see which one I like the best. Should arrive on Tuesday :)

Laska5772 · 30/09/2018 22:02

the Black Marina is lovely mine is quite old now ,but love it still ( am a bit surprised that you dont have one already Never !Grin..) I'm not sure I'd wear the snake one. Tbh.. I wasn't that keen on the pattern seeing it today on the Freesia midi.... I do really hope that I am not falling out of love with Hush..

I really like talking to 'You'all'. What will I do if I'm no longer buying Hush? I may have ordered the JL orange cashmere.. and I may have looked at the Jigsaw silk shirt again to think about , Perhaps

ilovecherries · 30/09/2018 22:07

Not quite an air ambulance, thankfully wasn’t that far from civilisation. But yes, ridiculous bloody accident, was very unlucky that it happened, and then very lucky that somewhere down the line I met a surgeon who was prepared to think outside the box. PowerPoints of my leg are frequently on the international lecture circuit, I believe Grin

I’ve declined the offer, and got another one for 50 pence more. It’s a designer dress (plus size). I’m drawing a veil over what it originally cost, and I have it on at a starting price of £20. I don’t have ridiculous expectations of what it will fetch, but I had hoped nearer £40. I got more for a couple of pairs of hush harems!

ilovecherries · 30/09/2018 22:08

The freesia midi is different again Laska, I saw it in JL. Much more blue than the skirt. But we don’t have to buy hush, we can talk about any clothes. Don’t go!

ilovecherries · 30/09/2018 22:16

I’m still thinking about the Shelley blazer.

neveradullmoment99 · 30/09/2018 22:27

I don't think you have fallen out of love with hush. There will always be the odd pieces. Maybe you have bought everything you like for now but I bet when the sale comes you will buy a few bits and bobs.
I think there are gorgeous clothes out there other than hush but I find its all a bit much for me and I cba shopping in the flesh. I used to love it. Now I think I actually hate it. I don't mind maybe a little browse around JL but cant be bothered trying to find things. Maybe I overdid it in my 30's. Used to love going into Glasgow and especially Braehead. It was like my past time. Now I can see it far enough and much prefer online.
Everyone can chat about anything on here. Who cares if its not about hush. Look at my Tesco buys. Happy to share any purchase.

neveradullmoment99 · 30/09/2018 22:31

You should scratch the itch cherries and order it. You can always return it. Not enabling but the tiger scarf adds a pop of colour. I had mine on on Friday and a child said they loved my scarf!!! Will wear it tomorrow too. Going to put on either my Tesco cord pinafore or my skirt and hush green wide top [ bought after you showed yours with the green leopard skirt] Its a lovely colour and goes beautifully with my Tesco check mini.

neveradullmoment99 · 30/09/2018 22:34

You are not going anywhere @Laska!!! I enjoy seeing what you have bought Grin I love the cashmere jumper but so out of my price range atm.

neveradullmoment99 · 30/09/2018 22:38

@Laska - I ordered it a few years back and loved it. My dd thought I looked like a princess in it but I just felt it was too much at the time and didn't think I would wear it so returned it. I still really like it. We will see if I opt for the black or the snake.

dontcallmelen · 30/09/2018 22:39

Laska I reckon what’s good about this thread is how it’s expanded too sharing lots of different purchases from various shops, tbh I dont buy very much from hush, I really like lots of the stuff but it doesn’t really suit my shape, but I really enjoy seeing everyone’s pics.

AFingerofFudge · 30/09/2018 23:00

Sorry I've not been around over the last few days. Hopefully will catch up on the thread tomorrow as it's my day off. This thread is my favourite and you're all so supportive of each other!

Laska5772 · 01/10/2018 07:12

Im not planning on going! Smile

Ellapaella · 01/10/2018 10:08

Yes we can talk about all our buys here, we just need to keep Hush in the title as it keeps all the haters away Grin
The great thing about this thread is that it only seems to attract nice supportive and helpful posters.

Like your thinking, Ella.

ilovecherries · 01/10/2018 10:36

So, I have the Shelly jacket coming. Will decide when I see it. It’s the exact length and collar style I’ve been loooking for for years, it’s just the wrong colour. I was tempted by the green velvet, but that’s totally impractical - will be wrecked with one wear carrying a bag. Have also ordered the Jada to try. I love both my nana jumpers, wore them loads andI just sold my last sweater tunic last week. So both of these are justifiable purchases and can come out of my new wardrobe budget which makes them planned purchases and therefore acceptable. Halo. Then I spoiled it all by ordering the Hush version of the MV bag Gin had yesterday. I’m not really a ‘fall in love with bags’ person - but that one jumped out of my iPad screaming ‘take me, I’m yours’. So I did. Hopefully I will take an irrational dislike to it in the flesh. It’s the Flori.

Laska5772 · 01/10/2018 10:55

I have been wondering whether to sell my Hush Anais leopard bag and the leopard maxi also.. (jut thinking about it , I love them both but have used them both just once) If i did (given that the bag was £110) what do you think I should list them for? I am also v wary of ebay these days.. but not on facebook to join the hush group there

Husheeta's count down to Christmas.. AW18 cont..
GinandGingerBeer · 01/10/2018 11:48

The leopard maxi will definitely go for a good price as it was very sought after on the FB page. Can't remember how much it was originally? Go for a third reduction?
( disclaimer I never sell anything I'm not organised enough)
The bag will do well too, I'm sure as it's very on trend.
I'm no help am I? 😂

ilovecherries · 01/10/2018 12:21

Hush I would def go for auction rather than BIN. People seem to work themselves into a lather at the end for it. Hmm...sounds familiar. The skirts were achieving silly money a few weeks ago - in excess of £100 but I suspect it’s died down again. I might be tempted to hang onto it till spring. If you want to sell it now, I’d start it at 25 plus postage. The bag, I’d be tempted to start at £50. Remember your signed for postage won’t cover you for more than £50 though, so I would send by an insured service.

Laska5772 · 01/10/2018 12:35

Thanks , Tbh I'm not really sure about selling except I keep thinking that I am not using things , I do really like the bag, (but but but.. )

Today is probably not a good day though make a decision, I didn't sleep at all well..
