Good afternoon Hush Girls, back in Blighty. Trying to get the house in some semblance of normality after over 3 weeks away, DS “forgot” to water my conservatory plants! Most are beyond saving so will do a cull this pm and start again with new plants Angry, other than that house is not too bad which is just as well as I have friends over for dinner, and I’m barely unpacked!
Old news now but Brand Alley purchases waiting for me are keepers which is just as well as I’m too late to return.

Too many thread pics and things moved on so apologies for not commenting in detail but the ones I remember and really loved are never black jacket, ella warehouse jumper, laska with the black star trainers and cherries with the marina snake print skirt.
gin you look great in your own clothes and everything else you posted!

So based on your feedback I’ve gone and ordered the Marina snakeskin skirt fully expecting it’ll be a return as I’ve tried the Marina skirt before but I’m never 100% convinced it loves me despite my love for it. Could be something to do with being so short.
I had the coated skinnies in and out of my basket but have 2 other pairs of coated black skinnies in my drawer so decided to pass and may be tempted in future if they’re on the sale.
I also ordered RocknRoll T, have high hopes for it.
And the LS jersey dress in forest green.
Was VERY tempted by the Ronnie Fur Coat in red but having tried it in black already and having returned it i know it’ll swamp me so I’ll try to go to New Look and see what I think of their faux fur.

I’ll report back!

Laska5772 · 30/09/2018 15:19

I've been over to JL in Southampton have been Very naughty but no Hush .. anotherJL chunky cashmere in grey fleck and a Jigsaw check shirt. Also some M&s navy cord skinnies which were intended to be tried on with the Hush navy star jumper but I'm not sure I'll be keeping it now after today's spending.. on boat now I'll post photos later

Laska5772 · 30/09/2018 15:19

Was really disappointed with the new Hush stuff actually..

Laska5772 · 30/09/2018 15:22

soy was particularly disappointed with the rock n roll T in JL sadly. It was thin and strangely faded ..

SoyYo · 30/09/2018 15:29

Oh no Laska it sounds like it’ll be yet another return like the carpe diem T Sad
Your purchases sound good and much better value than Hush these days. Tbh all I’ve kept from new season purchases so far is the wide v neck top and the petrol blue star T.
The zebra skirt I’m too late to return but the slightest fault after wearing and I’ll be all over their CS demanding a refund! The hem on mine is also non existent 😡

Laska5772 · 30/09/2018 15:35

Hopefully it may have just been that batch b I must say I was a bit surprised. Actually the leopard coat they had there was gorgeous. They didn't have the snake marina but did have the dress in same fabric. I wasn't too keen on that tbh. Tried the.black rose lightening bolt sweat but it was a bit short . However there was some lovely other stuff in JL today I could have bought loads. Jigsaw's offering this season is particularly lovely

Laska5772 · 30/09/2018 15:36

They had a gorgeous green silk shirt

SoyYo · 30/09/2018 16:18

I like the sound of a green silk shirt (one of Soy’s rules “you can never have too many gorgeous silk shirts” Wink)

Laska5772 · 30/09/2018 17:32

I'm sorry to hear of people here who are struggling, I hope you are all feeling better today. anxiety is such a difficult one.. I am usually pretty even keel these days but have had my moments n the past ..

But oh, dear I have gone a bit mad today, but its all things that will fit into my 'new' life so I'm not regretting any of it .

So this is what I bought Its a bit dull here so cant really get photos) this cashmere chunky jumper which looks so much nicer IRL than the photo.I'd have never even ordered it online, but it just stopped me dead in the shop Its actually a lovely 'soft' ivory smokey grey/black fleck.. its utterly gorgeous . and although really expensive its a classic . (also i thought of what cherriessaid about the buying of a Hush star jumper for £89 compared to this one ) . I loved the orange colour also, but luckily for my bank account they didn't have it in my size!

Then this Jigsaw shirt. Again it looks much brighter/ harsher colour on the web page , but is so lovely muted tones and really soft . The Eucalyptus silk one was also lovely , but (again luckily from my bank account ) they didn't have my size ( I will ask for that for my birthday/ christmas I think )

I also got these trousers which I didn't try on but when i have now got them home the waist is really tiny (this cannot be right as I am a pretty standard M&S 12, and fitted the JL size 12 ones that were much more expensive)

Then another Joules Lilly jumper in navy on the way back through Cowes ! Blush . I am wearing the burgundy and yellow ones so much since i bought them though, just love them ..

So an expensive trip but fun.. so many lovely things, especially coats and knitwear in JL ..

So I wont be (I really mustn't as cant afford it all!) keeping the Hush jumper or MV skirt that is on its way.

Laska5772 · 30/09/2018 17:40

.. Ah.... Ive seen that Rock n Roll T is supposed to be Grey.. (I thought it was black..which is why I surprised at the colour IRL.. ) hopefully it will be what you wanted soy ( though it is thin.. and ££ really )

dontcallmelen · 30/09/2018 17:47

Laska I love all your shopping haul, that JL jumper is lovely it’s my birthday at Christmas so hoping it may be a present.

SoyYo · 30/09/2018 17:55

Nice haul laska goes to show a RL trip will never replace a virtual shop...you’re right wouldn’t have given that JL cashmere a second look online but sounds fabulous on.
Like the Joules too. And the checked shirt. The silk is ££ so not tempted for now...
Yes I knew the T was gray...I’ll wait and see.
I’m also sorry to read about AD issues...I agree with the post about spending time outdoors and in nature. It must be the last thing on your mind when you’re feeling down but still it feeds the soul.
Having just had the luxury of 3 weeks by the Med, we went to the beach a lot, not to fry like a lot of Northern Europeans like to bit more just for a couple of hours around 5pm, late enough not to burn but still very warm in Sept for a swim in the sea, and a beach walk to dry off...feel so much better and didn’t realise how much the fractured ankle and work stress had got to me.
I do hope the feeling lasts as I have 2 weeks in a row travelling/away from home with work in October and a lot of nasty deadlines to meet...
Monday I’ll return to Pilates after 2 months out...hope i can manage it as it’s been a while.
So dinner for friends is in the oven but they’ll be here shortly.
Wishing you all a relaxing Sunday eve.

Laska5772 · 30/09/2018 18:34

Those of you who love leopard coats this one is nice and quite a good price

But I also saw this Max Mara coat today..OMG it is so gorgeous.. if i won the lottery.....

ilovecherries · 30/09/2018 18:39

Oh, I loved that cashmere in store as well, Laska. What size did you buy - I’d already had my clothes off and on about 4 times when I saw it, and could not face doing it again. I’m not sure if I’d need a S or an M. I think it would go nicely with my black marina as well. I’m really rating the new JLP collection actually.

ilovecherries · 30/09/2018 18:45

Pathetically bumping my qu about the Jada tunic from previous page in case it got missed...

Also - tell me honestly. These boots are ancient but never worn. I was about to put them on ebay and stuck them on to take a photo to find they are actually comfy and fit me now my feet are smaller. But are they really dated with that square toe? Flog to highest bidder or keep?

I went for the M cherries, they didn't have a S to try in Southampton . Its a little bit oversized but really not too much ( and given norkage, id suggest you try that first ) The S in orange fitted but was really a bit too snug for the look I wanted. ) .Its a great length with my charcoal Gap jeans .

Hopefully it will be brighter tomorrow , and so ill try and post a photo of it with my black Marina .

JL are doing well I think with their own stuff I think, .. Did you clock all the Boucle coats in jewel colours? The JL Kin dark red one was lovely! and Jigsaw have a nice green one also.. I am really getting into Jigsaw (if only I could afford to !) .

Are you keeping the 'Toast' type trousers?

dontcallmelen · 30/09/2018 18:50

cherries can’t help with tunic question, but I think eBay the boots they look really good quality & comfy but you can do better in the style stakes.

Laska5772 · 30/09/2018 18:51

this red coat

Laska5772 · 30/09/2018 18:57

Agree with len about style , but you probably wont get much for them though cherries . If they are comfy reckon id keep them , but only wear with jeans out walking at weekends maybe..

Laska5772 · 30/09/2018 18:59

I dont know about the tunic, either, only have the shorter Nana jumper .. that hasnt bagged..

neveradullmoment99 · 30/09/2018 19:09

I have the dark green Jada @cherries. Its an xs and has plenty of room. I ordered the camel version and the xs was fine but definitely neater than the green one. Not sure if its cause I have worn my green one. I returned it as I wanted to keep other things but it is a nice tunic.
Love the snakeskin skirt. I may just have to order it by the end of the night....

neveradullmoment99 · 30/09/2018 19:10

@cherries, I love those boots. Great with jeans tucked in. I think they are nice. I like the square toe. Keep.

ilovecherries · 30/09/2018 19:52

They were bought in 2006. I remember as it was the day before I had my accident, and life changed. I’ve gone in that time from wheelchair to crutches to walking sticks to my own two feet and from orthopaedic shoes to trainers and finally got (very flat) shoes and boots on my feet. They are almost vintage!

ilovecherries · 30/09/2018 19:53

And because my feet are smaller, I can now fit my orthotics and my ‘lift’ in them, which I couldn’t a year ago.

Laska5772 · 30/09/2018 20:05

of course no need to say cherries if you dont want to but was it a car accident?
