I wear my Marina with black tights and boots usually , I think your skirt does look long enough on you , but dont like it with the rose jumper really

ilovecherries · 28/09/2018 11:31

Hmm, I can’t see them on,I either Laska. It was a biggish store I was in though, and they are marked on the rail as new arrivals. It being M&S, they also had some dubious colours, but I liked the green. I’ve just noticed a little hole in the waistband of the Burgundy skirt, so it will be going back anyway they didn’t have a 10 in the cashmere instore, but tempted to order to try. HoC says mustard is def not for me, but I fell in love with it. All my cashmere is going on ebay - there’s slouchy, and there is sweater masquerading as a droopy dress and mine is def the latter now - so I need to gradually rebuild a cashmere wardrobe.

ilovecherries · 28/09/2018 11:32

I’m so taken with the fact of size 12 skinny jeans :)

neveradullmoment99 · 28/09/2018 11:43

Mustard jumper and green velour trousers - a hit. Definitely keep.
Black skinnies are practical and look fab with the blue top. You really suit that and I love them on you together with the skinny jeans. I love the new look skirt with the hush wide top. Tempted myself. It looks brilliant. Cardigan, its ok. Its practical so keep if you really like. Love the burgundy skirt. Love it with the brogues. I don't mind it with the flower jumper but think something plain would look better because the skirt is the star of the show if you know what I mean - the statement piece and the flower jumper is competing with it. A black, unfussy jumper would be better. I don't mind the toast-esque trousers. I think they look quite funky.

neveradullmoment99 · 28/09/2018 11:45

I agree with laska, you could size down in them if it doesn't make a difference to the waist size and make it uncomfortable.

neveradullmoment99 · 28/09/2018 12:00

Well was in Tescos and bought a few nice things.
Got a gorgeous little skirt. Beautiful muted check print for £16. I will post a picture in a moment. Excuse the skinny jeans I am wearing cba to take them off. Also bought a coatigan in gorgeous boucle grey. There is no warmth in it though so would need to be layered. Its really lovely but I would be better with a proper coat like that! Still, its lovely. I am always jumping in and out of the car so layers are perhaps better.

neveradullmoment99 · 28/09/2018 12:04

mm...wont let me attach pictures. Let me try another way!

close up of skirt. The photo when I am wearing it doesn't pick up how lovely the check is. Beautiful with bottle green. It is fully lined. I sized up to a 14 because the waist in Tesco clothing are too neat for me.

I gave my black blazer an outing today. Felt great in it. Worn with my black coated skinnies, loafers, hibiscus cashmere bf jumper and red tiger print scarf.

EachandEveryone · 28/09/2018 12:49

That’s gorgeous I wish I had a big Tesco near me.

I looked at the Boden stuff in JL yesterday. It’s amazing how you can go off stuff when you see it in a real life display, isn’t it? I was with someone younger and trendier and I felt almost embarrassed looking at it. The pricing is outrageous. Hush is similar atm not really doing it for me. My eyes light up when I go in Whistles though.

ilovecherries · 28/09/2018 13:05

That skirts is gorgeous, never.

ilovecherries · 28/09/2018 13:08

I am trying to ignore the siren call of the Hush blazer. I keep reminding myself that’s its black, it won’t suit me etc. But it’s one of those rare, perfect fits on me, and love, love, love the longer length and the collar and lapels.

Missbobbins · 28/09/2018 13:09

@ilovecherries I agree with the others - for me - the skirt and wide top, the green skinnies and mustard cashmere and the blue top are definitely keepers. The skirt is gorgeous and suits you with the brogues but perhaps a plain top as @never mentioned.
The blue trousers I am not so sure about - they are nice but don't think they fit you as well as they could. You have worn much more flattering things previously.

There's my twopenneth... 😉

neveradullmoment99 · 28/09/2018 13:14

Cherries could you not wear with a scarf? If you wear it with a scarf, it brightens everything up.

Laska5772 · 28/09/2018 13:36

the Hush Esme skirt came, I really dont know why Hush are saying that the waistband is very small so to size up as its actually elasticated.. Anyway the 16 ( as predicted after Cherries tried it yesterday ) was enormous actually sliding off my hips (but then I would have usually have ordered a 12 anyway and only didn't because of Hush's size advice) ,

Its a really nice colour and heavyweight, but i think the nap is upside down ( i can see why it made it look darker that way) but when worn id you smoothed your hands downwards it was all 'prickly' rather than 'nice velvety'..

Anyway its back at the post office already. along with the Boden shoes which I tried again and yes the difficulty getting them on (even though they were comfy when on was the deciding factor. I remembered that I have a pair of Clarks boots like that and hardly wear them just due to that factor..

Good Tesco haul never !

Ellapaella · 28/09/2018 14:00

@ilovecherries is that the Hush cardigan? I love it. I like all your outfits except agree the red skirt would be better with a plain black jumper. Not sure about the blue trousers personally because they are just not to my own personal taste not because I don't think they don't look good on you (iyswim).
Everything else looks great and the mustard does really suit you!
@neveradullmoment99 Impeccable choices as always.. You always choose so well. I love that skirt and the coatigan is 😍

ilovecherries · 28/09/2018 14:03

I’m certainly tempted to send for it, never, and try it at home. Loved the fit when I tried it in JL yesterday.

Those blue trousers. I’m still on the fence. Completely out of my comfort zone, but my comfort zone was so small before, that’s not a bad thing. I couldn’t go smaller on the waist. The stylist said that because we aren’t used to that silhouette yet, it seems strange, but that it was very funky. She did say that I must never wear them with a Breton top Grin.

ilovecherries · 28/09/2018 14:04

No, it’s just a cheapM&S one, Ella. £25.

Laska5772 · 28/09/2018 14:06

I really am getting to hate the word 'Coatigan' which seems to have popped up in Fashion parlance recently .... (nothing to do with you Ella or never saying it btw) ..

They are just long cardis not flippin' coat substitutes !! Laska stomps off in pedantic huff Grin

Ellapaella · 28/09/2018 14:09

£25 eh? I may have to call by M &S tomorrow...
I like the wide leg trousers look and I've a pair but haven't really been able to find a way to wear them as casually - for work or smart casual wear I think it's a good look. They look good on you.

Well, apparently a replacement Kensington is on its way. I thought they were sold out so I will be scrutinising it carefully. Will be pleased to have it back though, after my initial frumpy reservations it was incredibly cool and comfy in Spain.

neveradullmoment99 · 28/09/2018 15:32

I hate it also alonf wirh jeggings and treggings🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

neveradullmoment99 · 28/09/2018 15:32
