70isaLimitNotaTarget · 12/09/2018 20:26

Yes, I KNOW you don't want to think about it , but mark your place , its something like 105 days.

I'm wracking my brains for my list .
Plan to carry on my usual ones:

Hair dye
Hair cut
Korean Italy cloth scrubbing every week.

I plan to kick start myself with StopTober . I don't smoke or drink but I do give up sweets/cakes/biscuits for October , until I can eat the leftover Hallowe'en sweets .

So, anyone up for this phenomenal annual event ?

Hopefully it won't just be a queue of 'one' person
Xmas Grin

I've had a good week.

Drank plenty of water.
Max 1 drink of caffeine a day.
Yoga 5 days this week.
Plenty of walking.
Had an initial Botox consultation.
Looked after my skin, including taking my makeup off properly.
Deep conditioned my hair overnight 3 x.

To do:

Keep going with the things I've started.
And this week:

Maintain yoga.
Improve walking distance and frequency.
Have my manicure, pedicure and eyebrow wax and shape.
Exfoliate and moisture body at least 4 x a week.

Longer term:

Have the Botox.
Have a fillers consultation.
Make a list of new season clothes and buy them.
Book in an Olaplex treatment at the hairdressers this thread has reminded me.
Look for hair colour inspiration and make an appointment.
Clear out summer wardrobe and reorganise ready for next year.
Book a SpaceNK makeup consultation to revamp my day makeup and buy some new colours.

I’m gong to join you guys too...

  • no wine
  • less coffee
  • more water
  • more yoga
  • HIIT workouts on you tube
  • take make up off properly
  • use retinol at night
  • exfoliate and moisturise more
  • sort out ruined nails

nailvarnish - do you do your yoga at home or at a class?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 23/09/2018 08:53

I used a file on my heels and some SteamCream plus a pair of socks (ooh the glamour)

I need to dye my hair and do my brows (I use that Revolution 3 Day Dye . Paint it on, have Robbie Rotten eyebrows for an hour then peel off )

Definately winter clothes now so I;ll sift through my wardrobe and put things in order (I did a wardrobe cull recently)

OK that's enough planning for now Grin

OP posts:
CurbsideProphet · 23/09/2018 12:34

I also need to have another wardrobe cull and get my winter clothes out! I've got 6 maxi dresses that I haven't worn for the past 2 summers, so they will be going this week.

Dillydallyontheway · 23/09/2018 13:51

Had pizza last night in a moment of weakness but back to eating sensibly today. Prepared lunches and breakfasts for the week ahead so just dinner so to sort out on the day. Wore perfume today (usually forget) and a new coat which received lots of compliments. It's a trench coat from Hobbs which I recently got in the sale at 50% off.

PurpleNailVarnish · 23/09/2018 20:08

@abc12345 I used to go to yoga classes regularly for years, the teacher was excellent.
Then we moved house, my previous class is too far away and I can't find a class locally so I do it from YouTube.
Katrina Repman and Adriene are both good.

Helpmepleasenow48 · 23/09/2018 20:30

Am in - already doing a lot of these things...
Exercise: yoga/Pilates and running/spinning HIT
Diet: water more of that, ease up on chocolate and sweet things.
Booze: cutting it out until December
Coffee: need my caffeine but keeping it to morning/post workout - not after midday
Chiropodist: need to treatfeet.
Hair: growing out my colour and growing but using wash out toners, just had a trim so not having it cut now for 12 weeks (early December.
Botox: may try this next month.
Clothes: no need to buy a thing, we are buying our first house and I bought several lovely dresses last year..

hownowpowpow · 23/09/2018 21:52

Evening All. Sounds like people are really getting into the swing of it.

Today was a good day. Face mask, body scrub, epilator, gradual tanner and hair treatment. Going to book in for a serious chop in two weeks. Get rid of the crappy ends.

Food a bit shite over the weekend. Am replacing the cigarettes with junk food. Not good. Back on track tomo I hope.

Booked to get soft tap powder brows done on Friday? Has anyone had this done? Bit nervous but am sick of pencilling or powdering on my brows every day.

AtlasQueen · 24/09/2018 08:25

Jumping in here!

I need to exercise more, that’s my main aim

BiddyPop · 24/09/2018 11:26

Well, the weekend was mixed, I did remember some things and didn't eat terribly badly, but I did give the grapes a hammering (just relaxed on Friday with DH, and had neighbours for dinner Saturday - and 2 busy days meant no catching up on myself).

Stood on scales, and have dropped 4lb in last 3 weeks

Decent shower last night, including:
Exfoliating facial scrub
Pummice feet
Nice shower scrub on body (and well scrubbed on!)
Treatment oil on hair, then allowed to air dry rather than blow dry
Serum on face

So today is a new day.

Repair treatment on hair before straightening it
Smoothie for breakfast (lots of fresh fruit in it, almond butter, seeds, yoghurt, porridge oats and apple juice) - enough made for the week
Made my salads for 2 days lunches (lots of raw veggies in a rainbow of colours)
No raisin Danish this morning en route (forgot my purse!) -0 just found enough on my window ledge at work to buy a coffee
Sped up my walk from train to office, so I was slightly breathless getting in

I think I have reasonable dinners planned this week as well - filling but not too carby.

8FencingWire · 25/09/2018 06:55

Took my vitamins this morning with a big glass of water. I didn’t take my make up off last night though, I made the mistake of crashing as soon as I got through the door 🙄. Yesterday’s run didn’t happen either, I am genuinely shattered. Must do better!

CurbsideProphet · 25/09/2018 08:04

I've got terrible period pains and have had chocolate every day since Saturday. On the plus side I definitely haven't eaten as much as I could have Grin

IggyAce · 25/09/2018 15:15

I enjoyed my full body massage and facial this morning.
I’ve slowly been increasing my water intake.
The last two sundays I have used a body scrub and hair treatment.
From the 1st of October it’s no sweets, cake, chocolate or crisps for the whole month.

Gogreen · 25/09/2018 16:41

I’m going to keep my list easy so it’s managable.

3 times in the week say no to that chocolate you are going to eat....it’s just 3 times you can do it!
Wash hair every 3 days
Do make up atleast 5 days a week
Keep on top of nails
Eat 3 salads a week.
Think about exercising

God don’t I just sound gooorrgouuuss!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 25/09/2018 21:36

3 months time will be Christmas Day Xmas Grin

I am preparing myself for Stoptober by scoffing my 500g bag of Liquorice (and bloody lush it is too!) so it's out of the way .

I have my hairdye (planning on Thursday)

Loads of water

OP posts:
Gah81 · 26/09/2018 08:15

Happily, opening this thread this morning stopped me from having 'dessert' (aka leftover cookies) after my healthy porridge breakfast! Thank you, all Grin

BiddyPop · 26/09/2018 10:31

I'm remembering some stuff, and not others.

Weekly weigh in this morning (a group of ladies at work) saw another 3/4 lb off - 2 weeks in a row!! I may hit under 13st next week. (Aim, eventually, is to get to 10.5st).

I need to buy more fruit for the desk at work - I've eaten the mandarins and most of the apples. But I was too shattered last night and didn't make my lunch at home. So it will be something on the run as I have a lunchtime meeting.

Face looks haggard though - I need more sleep.....

VodkaLimeSoda27 · 26/09/2018 22:20

Late to the party, but haven't been looking after myself at all (put on 30 lbs due to an injury in the last year) so this is much needed. Impending international move back to the UK on the horizon and feeling the strain!

8 full glasses of water a day
10k steps a day
Two pieces of fruit a day
Eat more at home rather than out/takeaway
Face mask twice a week
Always take off makeup at night
Only drink 1 day a week
Try and do more yoga again
Keep on top of nails/feet/shaving/brows

Somertime · 27/09/2018 11:31

I got my eyebrows threaded and tinted and bikini wax. I think the beautician was a bit horrified at my bikini 'line' 😲 I'm booked in for a repeat next month.
I've started a healthy eating app called noom which is at least making me realise how much crap I eat. I'm just trying to keep within my calorie count each day.
Stoptober I'm going to do low sugar.

Terramirabilis · 28/09/2018 19:34

Weight loss has slowed down on my diet but that's to be expected as I'm now 4 weeks in. Have pretty much finished reviewing my wardrobe and I'm starting to look for things to buy. I have a month left of maternity leave. Can't believe how fast it's going!

user1457017537 · 28/09/2018 23:15

OwlService I also do my own roots/regrowth as I hate my grey showing, I must have saved thousands over the years. I also do my waxing myself

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 29/09/2018 01:00

I trawled round Ikea and Costco (with a heavy trollley) then went to th gym Halo

Bought a StickyToffee Pudding to celebrate the last day in Sept and the start of October/No Sweets, chocolate ,cakes etc.

Planning to do some tidying and recycling , excuse to wander around with a hair conditioner and clingfilm on !

OP posts:
SuzeD29 · 29/09/2018 12:51

I've started running twice a week and doing a face and hair mask afterwards. Feel great once I've done it 😊

FellSwoop · 29/09/2018 18:29

Can I join? I'm in need of an overhaul in some areas!
I've lost 3.5 stone over the last 2 years and am lighter/slimmer than before I got pregnant with DS. Am 9st4 now and would like to shift 5 more vanity lbs by end of Oct.
Was doing well Jan-May going to gym at least 3 mornings a week but then gave up alcohol in May and was drained from AA meetings (which were helpful but I've stopped going as I don't feel it necessary now) that I stopped going regularly. 150 days sober though! Dropped over a stone since May by just quitting booze Blush

So, I am aiming for:
-Continue booze free
-Gym 3-4 times per week, strength training mostly
-Grow and look after nails

  • Hair mask 1-2 times per week (Got a wonderful Davine's mask- amazing for by bleached out and thirsty tresses
-Face mask 1-2 times per week -Sort out my hooves -Subtle lip filler next week! -Try out yoga
MontalbanoFan · 30/09/2018 07:50

Hi everyone. I’d love to join in. Going to start a Philip Kingsley Elasticizer routine from today. The Korean wash cloths will be dug out and used regularly from now on (even though it’s hard to find the time for a long soak in the bath).
cloudtree, is the Ameliorate cream really good for the skin on the chest area? I know it’s a remedy for keratosis pilaris but it would be great to find out if it improves the look of ageing skin.
Anymore helpful hints would be extremely welcome, thanks!
