Yes, I KNOW you don't want to think about it , but mark your place , its something like 105 days.

I'm wracking my brains for my list .
Plan to carry on my usual ones:

Hair dye
Hair cut
Korean Italy cloth scrubbing every week.

I plan to kick start myself with StopTober . I don't smoke or drink but I do give up sweets/cakes/biscuits for October , until I can eat the leftover Hallowe'en sweets .

So, anyone up for this phenomenal annual event ?

Hopefully it won't just be a queue of 'one' person
Xmas Grin

nancy and cloud I’ll try the small day or all night Olaplex too...

CremeDeSudo · 16/09/2018 08:56

I've seen lots of these Princessing threads but never really known what's involved? Do we just list out goals and talk about what we've done to achieve them?

I had a baby 3 months ago and was basically pregnant for a year as I had a MC before so am hoping to sort myself out by Christmas!

Plans are:
-Lose as much of the 3st 12 I need to on the Cambridge diet (managed 4st in 5 months before, so should be able to make a decent go of this)
-Cavi lipo sessions to aide this. A friend is doing it so pricing makes it a 'why not, it's a worth a go' approach
-Get lip fillers (I have no lips, loved fillers last time!)
-Decide what to do with my hair and do it!
-Get my toenails painted regularly, it makes such a difference

I started Cambridge on Friday and first cavi lipo session is booked for Wed! Next week I will arrange having my lips done and maybe get my toes done too Smile

Creme , IIRC the original Princessing thread came from someone going to a wedding as a guest and the ethos was that you prepare for it like it's your own wedding you're going to. Not sure if it was round the time of the Royal Wedding (Kate and William)

So , yes, just a list to begin with. That you can manage comfortable. Then , after 21 Days (because it takes 21 Days for something to become a habit) you add some more.

I drink water every day , loads of the stuff , because I don't drink alcohol or fizzy drinks ( personal preference) and because when I get a hormonal flush , a pint of water will temper it.
I've always had a mug of coffee before bed though, so I add the pint of water after (and I get up in the night at 2am)

Things like "Don't let my hair go over 5 weeks without a cut" when I had short hair . Now Im growing it , so it was cut about 6 weeks ago, I'm trying to hang on a bit there.

Also good to combine Princessing with Beauty Hoarder and use up all those half bottles you've got hanging about Grin

I will do my list this week I reckon.

A princessing thread a few years ago changed my life, no exaggeration. I went sugar free as a result of a poster who inspired me, and 2 years later I’m still pretty much sugar free.

Been for a run this morning, and done a 10 mins abs workout too.

My princessing goals this week are to: wear something from my extensive collection of clothes I don’t wear; moisturise after my shower each day; use my face cream; and to track all my food intake and stick to my diet plan. I’m usually fine in the week but the weekends keep going to weasel poo rat shit. I have a hypnotherapist session booked this week, she is going to help me stop my grazing/bingeing habit. We’ll see.....

OwlService · 16/09/2018 13:12

I've done an Olaplex No 3 hair treatment this morning, leaving it in overnight, trying to tame the frizz (suggestions welcome, my hair is a nightmare).

Doing nails tonight. Will be wearing a skirt tomorrow, so need to shave and moisturise my legs, my least favourite task, always put that off until the last minute grrr.

BusySittingDown · 16/09/2018 17:14

I had my hair coloured by the hairdresser yesterday and I’ve booked an appointment for a cut at the start of October.

I already work out every day but I need to sort out my winter wardrobe.

Peachypeaches · 16/09/2018 19:35

Ok, I’m in and feeling very motivated.

I’m going to start with the following, then maybe add something each week until xmas. Been feeling a bit old and drab lately, so this is just what I need.

This weekend I have sorted out my work clothes, bought new shoes and boots and a load of new clothing items for autumn. Everything is ironed and hanging on a rail in the spare room. I had one day at work last week where I felt really sad and shabby, and cried when I got home, and I don’t want to feel like that ever again!

I will also:
Drink more water
Just have one coffee each day
Nails always shaped and polished
Groom eyebrows more often
Deep condition hair each week
Vitamins each day
Get up 30 minutes earlier in the morning!
Brisk walk after work each day (2 miles)
Bed before midnight each night (am a night owl!)

That will do me for now, then I’ll add into it as I go along.

Am currently in the bath with a home-made avocado and honey mask on my face and hair - it feels amazing!

Good luck everyone Smile

8FencingWire · 17/09/2018 06:51

Well. Friday was a write off, because I was rather tired, so I caught up on sleep, but did my routine.
Saturday morning I was so late for work it wasn’t even funny, so just moisturised, but no hot water, no make up. Saturday evening I went to bed late and all I did was brush my teeth.
Sunday morning I went to work in a blur, no make up, no moisturiser, nada. And last night I just collapsed after brushing my teeth.
No exercise, apart from extensive walks on the beach after work on both days.
Must do better.
So tonight I’ll go for a run :)

PurpleCurtains · 17/09/2018 07:19

I like the idea of wearing something from my wardrobe I haven't worn in a while! I might try that.

I bought a new lippy on the weekend and enjoyed wearing that today

BiddyPop · 17/09/2018 07:46

I managed to do my hair properly yesterday - and DH noticed so I guess I should make that effort more!

I made my breakfast smoothie for the week and 3 days worth of lunch salads last night, so that helps.
Proper facial scrub this morning and body lotion.
And a 2nd day in a row of remembering foot cream - my poor trotters have very hard skin that needs attention. I’m just glad it’s just think and not cracked or split.

I plan on using the stairs more at work this week as well - I’m on 5th floor.

Miltonkeynesmummy · 17/09/2018 08:04

Right I'm in. I'm going to take a photo tomorrow so I can do a before and after shot.

I'll book a cut and colour for later this week.

I looked so good after last year's princess. All my clothes fitted beautifully. Arrrhghjh why did I eat so much over the summer!!

WindDoesNotBreakTheBendyTree · 17/09/2018 08:45

Day 1 for me.
I am up, have used serum AND moisturiser, having a homemade smoothie with spinach, maca and flax seed for breakfast and am going to the gym before work meetings this afternoon.
If I have time I may try to make some veggie soup for lunches this week as mostly working from home.

Worked all weekend (self-employed) so am going to take Tuesday off and do some maintenance.

hownowpowpow · 17/09/2018 17:27

What a great thread. I'll join if I may. Today is day one off the cigarettes. Have to start somewhere I guess. My exercise routine pretty good but I need to cut out chocolate, Diet Coke and fizzy sweets.

Hair is a joke. I cannot get a colour I like it has been blonde a while but goes brassy very quickly. If hairdresser put darker colour in it it fades after a few washes. I'm really lazy with styling it too. So that is my big sort out for Christmas. Also clothes, am really shite at putting outfits together.

Onehellofaride · 18/09/2018 09:57

Ok my list so far
Hair treatment once a week
Make sure I cleanse, tone, serum and moisturise every day
Increase my running again
Do shred every other day
Drink less alcohol
Cut back on rubbish food
Face mask once a week
Get a pedicure
Drink lots of water
Aim for an early night at least once a week
Drink warm water with lemon
Book a facial
Learn to curl my own hair!
Keep up with gradual tan

I already have my hair and nails done regularly, take my make up off every night and use a teeth whitener.

Good day yesterday I managed to do my hair treatment, full exfoliation, gradual tan, drink plenty of water, eat well and do the Shred!

How’s everyone doing?

BiddyPop · 18/09/2018 10:23

Remembered my facial scrub, serum and foot cream again.

And I managed to trim and file down my nails neatly without losing any. Actually, I'm going to put on hand cream now looking at them, cos I don't want to paint the nails yet as the beds around them look so bad.

And I'm walking up the stairs more at work - not all the time (I'm 5 floors up, and often have meetings in the basement!), but a few more floors each day than I used to.

I forgot to bring my salad with me this morning, having made it - it's sitting in the fridge (I'll use it tomorrow instead). But I am trying to eat more fruit during the day and have restocked my drawer with apples and mandarins.

IggyAce · 18/09/2018 15:35

I started Saturday, so far I have moisturised everyday, did a body scrub and hair treatment.
I’ve upped my water intake I’m on track to have 3 bottles today.
I still need to cut biscuits, chocolate and cakes I plan on cutting those out completely for the whole of October and beyond if I can.

PurpleCurtains · 18/09/2018 20:46

This is so motivating! I did exercise for the first time in ages and going to book a manicure for the weekend

Terramirabilis · 18/09/2018 23:39

Oooh can I join? Had a baby 6 weeks ago and just had my final post-partum appointment and have been signed off to return to normal life. I've got 6 weeks left of maternity leave Sad (in the US so that's considered a good deal here.)

My goals are:

Lose remaining 15 lbs of baby weight. Technically it's not baby weight, it's weight I put on before I even got pregnant. But still. I'm doing low carb so no pasta/bread/rice. Lots of fats and moderate protein. No sugar/alcohol. It's proving surprisingly easy. First diet where I don't feel hungry. I've been on it 2 weeks and I've lost 5 lbs.

Having had a brutal wardrobe clear out last week, and not having bought any clothes (apart from maternity wear and one pair of trainers) for a year, I am ready to shop. But I need to plan really carefully and not get distracted by crap.

I almost never wear make up and I want that to change. I need a simple routine that is achievable daily in little time. If anyone has a recommendation for YouTubers who cover the basics that would be good.

I'll be around at weird hours of the night British time because I'm 8 hours behind so I can offer moral support if anyone is considering caving in to cravings.

SuzeD29 · 19/09/2018 07:03

Hi I'm in too 😊
I weighed myself after the summer hols and was horrified to see I've got over 2 stone to lose.
Starting of with running 2x a week followed by a face mask when my pores are open which is really effective.
Also going to start moisturising my body more regularly- I'm so lazy for this
I cut off all the remaining dye from my long hair and now have a short horrible shaggy bob which I hate. Need to learn how to style that or else distract by wearing make up 😂
Drink more water, less coffee

vjg13 · 19/09/2018 07:39

I'm in too! Main goals are to feel fitter and healthier by doing more and eating less rubbish. Also want to have facial moles lasered off!

SUZE, The Santuary Spa wet skin moisture miracle is a great quick body moisturiser for slapping on after a shower although I find it less appealing on colder mornings!

BusySittingDown · 19/09/2018 08:27

One of my princessing goals is to be more organised with clothes in an attempt to feel more groomed.

I’m great at keeping on top of the washing but it just gets dumped, all wrinkled and unorganised, in the spare room to the point where there are no clothes in the wardrobe and I end up scrambling for something in the pile most mornings! Blush

I’m going to make sure everything is washed, ironed and put away.

BusySittingDown · 19/09/2018 08:29

I’ve already forgotten to bring my hand cream to Work and I didn’t take my multivitamin this morning! 🤦‍♀️

I remembered my gym kit though 😬.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 19/09/2018 10:25

Busy I don’t iron really, but I’ve started on a Sunday just doing a few bits for the week ahead and it makes so much difference to how put together I feel. It only takes 15 minutes and the effects last all week so it seems a good exchange!

Snipples · 19/09/2018 12:13

Hello all. I've not had a brilliant start to princessing so need to make more of an effort.

Off on hols on Friday so in preparation for that will be doing hair mask/ face mask/ defuzzing/ quick body polish and then a mani. Toenails are grand as have gelish. I did buy a foot file the other day and buffed all my hard skin off but need to do that again pre trip.

Also need to wear nourishing lip balm more as lips drying out.

Hope you're all getting on well.
