The thought never crossed my mind either @neveradullmoment99. However this is a guy who tells me I look like I have brushed my hair with a toffee apple so I don't take anything he says too seriously!

SoyYo · 31/08/2018 12:18

theonly what a strange thing to say about the Kensington but yes if it’s mentioned again just shrug shoulders, wink and go “damm and now the secret is out I’ll have to put purple magick spell on you” Wink in witchcraft purple magick Spells are control spells to “force” someone to do your Will, not nice!

never on the witchy theme yes to the skirt, really lovely but probably quite similar to others you own including the hippy style one with the gold threads from SS18. Green dress agree it’s meh. Dungarees difficult to tell personally not a dungaree wearer but if you love it looks good on you 👍
I think the Kensington looked so beautiful on you though that if I had to choose between that and the dungaree to keep I’d definitely keep the dress.

laska look forward to seeing you in new purchases and comparing notes on the petrol blue star T.

SoyYo · 31/08/2018 12:27

Ah theonly I posted on the witchy remark before reading that he’s always making “funny” comments about your appearance (toffee apple hair) in which case I conclude your boss is an immature idiot and may even secretly fancy you. It’s the kind of remarks you’d expect from a 12 year old kid with a crush.
I can’t ever imagine my boss making a comment on my hair or appearance (and I do have witchy mad curly hair btw) and not stopping him dead with a cutting and direct remark. Hmm

Theonlyoneiknow · 31/08/2018 12:32

It's okay @soyyo - I told him that I imagined his face was on the punch bag after my lunchtime boxing class Grin

I had a floral dress on the other day and he told me I looked like I had fallen in a bowl of pot pourri. It is a very male dominated industry I work in and have developed a very thick skin over the years and suitable back chat!

SoyYo · 31/08/2018 12:41

Good on you theonly 💪💪 if it’s “banter” they’re after give as good as you get in the knowledge you’re dealing with immature masturbators polite word for what I really mean

Inforthelonghaul · 31/08/2018 12:51

Are these boots good or have I lost any fashion sense I ever had? Really want a pair of ankle boots for the autumn to wear with skinnies, leggings and my frayed star jeans but on a budget as have spent my birthday money. Don’t think I’d wear with a skirt as have quite chunky calves.

Laska5772 · 31/08/2018 13:25

Have been out ths morning it was warm and sunny , pleated chambray skirt ( the one with the big pockets..I love it) and last years dandelion raw edge T .. I dont wear that much it really .. itis a bit bright.. ( am wondering if I can risk fading it a bit in some weak bleach..) . I took back the M&S dress (smaller one coming) and the one undyed pair of the leopard leggings. also the TKmaxx scarf i bought the other day as the one from Daniel is much nicer

Anyway its now turned cooler and a bit black overhead.. back home in navy and blue amies , french blue raw edge t and H&M vest blue under

Met DS for coffee and for Mum (me) to buy him breakfast!! , but he has just finished his first months work with Liz Earle.. and each month they get given boxes of product .. All full size too! so as I am a lovely mummy I am now the proud possessor of a couple of tubes of cleanse and polish and cloths some instant boost skin tonic, a new balancing gel mask ( not out yet) a light moisturising gel and one of their v.v posh and expensive superskin moisturisers .. (I knew that sometime down the line it would be worth having children!!) Grin the trouble is, he has just announced a new girlfriend, I might have to fight her for the next lot

Was hoping for some things today but postlady didn't stop here today

neveradullmoment99 · 31/08/2018 13:33

Lucky you @Laska. I have older sons but none of them have perks [well unless you count rock bottom prices to the middle east but its too hot for dh and the kids]
Poor you regarding the girlfriend - it might be a bit of a fight!!! Just get in their first!
Still awaiting my leopard scarf from dunnes and no sign of my blouse from brand alley as yet.

Elizabethtailor · 31/08/2018 13:34

Just signed up so I can comment after lurking.

Love the leopardprint leggings that really disappointed by the other things I ordered.

The leopardprint scarf is wafer thin and does not provide a nice bulk round the neck. It looks really thin like and definitely not £159.

The ivy dresses are so unflattering on me- 5ft 8 and size 12- massive pockets give me huge bulk round the hips.

Dolman hoody ridiculously short.

Glad I have saved some money!

Sabrina cardigan gorgeous but again the pockets seem to create so much extra fabric and weight round the hips whereas I imagine a cardigan to be soft and flowing.

neveradullmoment99 · 31/08/2018 13:37

@inforthelonghaul, tbh I am not fussed for the boots. They are ok and not offensive in any way if you like them. They would be fine with skinnies but for me they are too pointy imo and not sure about the suede/leather mix and strap detail. Not sure your budget but we can help you look for a pair that suits if you are on the fence about them :)

neveradullmoment99 · 31/08/2018 13:40

Elizabeth That is rubbish. I like the Ivy dresses but is suppose it depends upon the individual shape of people. What size did you get? Sometimes sizing down can make a difference.
I have the leopard leggings and love them.
Never had the sabrina cardigan because its just too long for my needs but it does look nice. As for the things being too short. I agree. Many Hush's things are far too short. I tend to wear a long line vest under them.

Elizabethtailor · 31/08/2018 13:42

I got a small and a medium of the ivy but they just don’t work on me!
Loving the leggings though. I find them nigh better than the m and s ones which i also bought- thicker fabric and m and s ones felt a bit like my knackered old maternity ones!

Thank goodness for free returns!

neveradullmoment99 · 31/08/2018 13:43

So have decided to keep the kensington dress. I really love it and thing its a classic. I like it toughened up with my biker boots or with converse or similar trainers.
Going to return everything today. I like the dungarees but i have a pair and may order in the future if they are still in stock. The only thing i am keeping is the gorgeous moon and star necklace which i have put on and not taken off and looks very pretty with the kensington - a perfect length. I sorted the buttons by carefully cutting the ones that needed and widening the others. I will still email them to express my annoyance.

neveradullmoment99 · 31/08/2018 13:46

I just cba to return it now i have set my mind on it. Its good too as its a 10 so can only look better the slimmer i get :)
Just to let you know, Theonly It was your picture with yours on and soyos comment that helped me seal the deal :)

Laska5772 · 31/08/2018 13:46

If anyone ordering from Daniel this animal print scarf is lovely and has extra 20% off so is only £12. Its a long scarf . I was lucky because they refunded my postage as they messed up my boots order.. Its not worth ordering on its own because postage is a standard £4.99 but with something else a definite bargain

neveradullmoment99 · 31/08/2018 13:46

..and i think i may just iron it to wear tomorrow!

neveradullmoment99 · 31/08/2018 13:50

I have already ordered my scarf from dunnes but the one does look nice laska - very classy :)

Laska5772 · 31/08/2018 13:50

I like the dungarees never ( but not v practical) . Witchy skirt ,, a bit Hum tbh I think..
Agree about the green dress, looks v dull.

Glad you've decided about the Kensington! .. just make sure you wear it lots !

neveradullmoment99 · 31/08/2018 13:51

The one i have coming is a thick one which is more functional for me. Not sure of the length on the moda in pelle one.

neveradullmoment99 · 31/08/2018 13:52

Wearing it tomorrow!!!! I have decided :) We will see what my mother says. She is always passing remarks. I had on my pleated skirt from next [ the stripey one] and made a million comments to me. Eventually she said she thought it looked nice and my brother called it funky which i like :)

neveradullmoment99 · 31/08/2018 13:54

However, i enjoyed trying it all on...and returning it :)
Well apart from the dungarees......but no..they are going as i really cant afford it.

neveradullmoment99 · 31/08/2018 13:55

Actually laska, they are ok . Just need to be careful when you go to the toilet not to have the back dipstick in the toilet!!! ha ha ha....

Laska5772 · 31/08/2018 13:57

Elizabeth welcome.. if you've been lurking you'll know how dangerous this place is!. Shame about the Ivys on you. I love them but I am an inverted triangle shape these days so the pockets are fine on me (i just wish i had less bust)

Maybe the Raven would work better on you ?

Laska5772 · 31/08/2018 14:00

Moon and stars looks good ..I recently bought this necklace Never

Elizabethtailor · 31/08/2018 14:00

I will look it up! Thank you!

Have seen the Ivy on you in a pic I think and it looked great.

So where else can we find a nice thick leopard print scarf which doesn’t hang round the neck like a wrung out old dish cloth?! Has anyone tried that £17.99 Zara one?
