offred we’ve all got the same now famous M&S leggings Grin
Huff thank you yes adore the v neck wide top no idea why I hesitated so long! The black T will be useful for hols but I think I’m returning the dress. It’s difficult as a petite to carry off such a busy print.
I wanted it for a work trip to Madrid in October so not for hols
a finger the side splits on me come to my knee so for taller people would be mid thigh
Fabric is nice, a bit scratchy but the nice lining helps. I’d say definitely worth a try but I think I’ll return and try the skirt in the same print instead as that’ll suit my shape better
It’s a lot of ££ for it not to be perfect

Thanks all for the fast replies, really appreciate it Flowers

I died my Amies with black dye and strangely the white stripes are now navy.

Has anyone tried that £17.99 Zara one?

I bought it two weeks ago and have hardly taken it off. It is fabulous.

SoyYo · 01/09/2018 16:37

afinger sorry posted before seeing your pics.
Indeed Hush have been busy! Grin
Love the red T on you and the blue v neck...why do you think v necks don’t suit you?
The chinos are okay but I prefer you in your jeans, but they’re not bad either. It’s hard to judge with 2 dimensional pics as well if you love them keep them.
The top you’re wearing with the chinos is lovely too, I could never get away with that neck due to norkage!
👍👍👍

PrimalLass · 01/09/2018 16:41

*dyed
And the stripes look charcoal there but they seem navy IRL.

SoyYo · 01/09/2018 16:55

primal what Zara bargain?
Couldn’t see a link
From the dyed pic I think you’ve ended up with a gray on black stripe which I quite like. laska when she’s back should be able to advise.

Right before I change my mind I’m packing the dress to return on Monday. Will try the skirt instead.
ella you’ve got the same in the zebra print. Is it TTS? Like Hush jeans? Or should I size down?

Nearlyadoctor · 01/09/2018 17:03

MissFliss love the earings and good to know they stay in place - may go on my Christmas list as I darent spend any more.
@SoyYo really like all the tops on you, particularly the star one, the colour really suits you. I agree with the others about the dress, the print etc is fab and it looks great especially with the orange and brown jackets but I’m not sold on it without the jacket.
afinger I think both the tops look good , the V neck gives you an option to accessorise with a necklace, as SoyYo mentioned the V neck does suit. I’m not convinced by the chinos though, difficult to tell from the picture but they look a little tracksuit like. Chinos aren’t my style anyway so please don’t take my word for it.
@Offed I have last seasons Sabrina and it washed fine - I did wash it on a cold hand wash cycle and then dried flattish over the airer. It’s lovely when the weathers colder really cosy.

SoyYo · 01/09/2018 17:16

Thank you nearly totally agree, but it’s so very useful to get second opinions.
I’m going to try the Meghan skirt in the same print as the dress. Tbh it’s the print I love most and made me order it in the first place so useful (if expensive waiting for returns refunds!) to see it in RL
Why with the £ I’ll save on the dress returns and getting the skirt instead I thought about ordering another v wide neck in gray except S is ooo now!
I just need to decide what size Meghan skirt to go for or order both 12 and 14 and decide Confused

Inforthelonghaul · 01/09/2018 17:40

Just got my order and really pleased with everything. Leopard print leggings will be worn loads and now I want the zebra ones. Grey wide vneck is lovely as is the green wide top. Could get away with xs but small fits well too. The green long sleeve star top is great too. I’d normally buy a medium as I like my tops to be quite loose and comfy but it’s a small and fits well though the sleeves could be a bit longer (am quite tall).

There are a few more things I’d like to get but that will have to do for now.

Inforthelonghaul · 01/09/2018 17:52

Could I wear these shoes with the leggings (excuse unflattering photo)? They’re MV and we’re an eBay bargain. I love them but rarely wear them as no idea what to put with them that looks good.

Ellapaella · 01/09/2018 17:57

@SoyYo love the jersey tops and leggings combo's - all perfect.
I really like the dress on you actually.. but personally I'm not so keen on it with the brown jacket, I like it with the orange and the Fitzgerald. Personally I think it looks lovely on its own too, it's great with the boots bit still summery with the sandals while the warmer weather is still here.

Ellapaella · 01/09/2018 18:00

@SoyYo the meg ruched skirt in that print is gorgeous, I was going to go for it myself then saw Never's zebra one and went for that instead.
I think the meg ruched skirt in the floral print with those boots you have on will look really good. And you can put a nice black chunky knit or cashmere sweater over the top - so many different options. So if it's a choice for you between skirt and dress I'm on team Skirt.

Ellapaella · 01/09/2018 18:01

Will look at everyone else's lovely pics a bit later with a glass of wine once the DC are in bed.

PrimalLass · 01/09/2018 18:07

A leopard print scarf. Think I linked it on the last thread. It is lovely.

dontcallmelen · 01/09/2018 18:31

Soy I didn’t realise they did a skirt in the same print as the dress, so agree a skirt would probably be more versatile, you can pair with jumper or cardigan/jacket in cooler weather & with a T & sandals when warmer, think you would probably get more use out of it.

EachandEveryone · 01/09/2018 18:35

Theres 20percent off in Boden tomorrow. I might look for a dress. Im getting down about it now. I hate feeling frumpy but dont know where to shop anymore. I went to Jigsaw yesterday and nearly fainted with boredom. I dont get how shops have the same clothes year in and out. Whistles used to be my to go to but they just dont accomodate my boobs anymore. Bloody menopause!

EachandEveryone · 01/09/2018 18:40

Oh i only put the boots on with that dress to get abit of height.

neveradullmoment99 · 01/09/2018 18:47

Well everyone looks great in their photos. Dave The dress looks great with opaques. Less fussed for it with bare legs but yes, you can get away with it. I think its definitely a more autumn winter dress though colour wise. I think you do really suit it. As for the static at the back - buy a little slip to wear. Added warm and acts like a lining. Problem solved and a really useful thing to have in your wardrobe.
Cant remember who posted the pics of the zebra dress. I think I really like it print wise. I quite like the shape of it but it works best with tights and boots. Could you size down in it? It looks a little generous.
I do really love the quirkiness of it and may order it at a later date.
It looks very comfy.
Soyo I love all the tops. You look fabulous in all of them and have great legs for the leggings. I think they are all keepers. The dress - I agree about the print. I think it is too full on. Its not you, its the dress. I wonder though if you were to wear a heel and put your hair up it might actually work on you? It is good with the jackets but its not practical if you cant get it to work on its own. Just trying to think of things to break up the print - you could pick up some of the colours with a scarf. Try hair up, scarf dress and heeled boots? [ I know you have your large boot but try with the other side!!!] It may be that your best bet is the skirt. Its very true to size. I have hips and the 12 just fits me but it is in no way generous and has no give at all.
As for me, tried jeans in next and hated them all. Went into Matalan and picked up a lovely pair of falmers for £20! So pleased with them. Also got a gorgeous blouse in there [ will post pictures] and a really nice shirt in black watch tartan out of asda of all places!!!!
Oh and for my Kensington my mum thought it looked beautiful on me and I felt great in it. :)

neveradullmoment99 · 01/09/2018 18:49

Each I would love to see that dress on you again with black opaques and your boots. I think it will look far nicer. Don't despair.

SoyYo · 01/09/2018 18:53

Ah thanks I’m glad as usual we’re on the same wavelength re skirt vs dress, much more versatile and won’t swamp me.
I really need something a bit wow for October in Paris and Madrid work trips, and I need them here for my return from hols end of September so I have enough time to think what to pack/wear with.
The tops are for off duty/homeworking wear and keeping them all since it’s my first successful AW18 order (returned the last lot including fur jacket)
I’ve gone for the Meghan skirt in both prints in a 12, all my Hush jeans and skirts in a 12 still fit okay so unless I’ve put on tons of weight that should be fine. Can’t weigh myself as I can’t bear weight/boot problem but I feel it round my middle. As soon as the bloody thing is off I’ll start moving again and will drop the xtra couple of pounds I’ve gained.

Ah THAT Zara scarf leopard scarf! Yes looked lovely 😍

Each tell me about the bloody menopause 😥 I had a very early one at 40 years old so now 15 years later I probably have the body most people wouldn’t get till they’re 70...this is why it goes shite if I stop moving and doing Pilates. You’ve got a really good shape. I remember your photo in the Madonna costume and thought you looked fabulous (it was you right?) I’ll have a look at Boden later see if I spot something that could work for you. At least their refunds are super fast

Ellapaella · 01/09/2018 18:55

Yes Each the dress is lovely - put it on with some black tights and it'll look great with those boots or with a more classic heel. It's a nice dress, just add a heel and a touch of jewellery and you're good to go.

SoyYo · 01/09/2018 18:58

never ah thanks didn’t read you till after I posted. Told you to keep the Kensington Wink it’s so lovely on you and great to hear you picked up good bargains today.
Well now worried I should have gone for a 14 on the skirts...oh well Will wait and see they’ll be here Monday

neveradullmoment99 · 01/09/2018 19:00

It will be fine im sure. I am strangely shaped [ perimenopause] I have a slim waist, a round tummy which is very annoying and hips. You look straight up and down. You will be fine with it im sure.

neveradullmoment99 · 01/09/2018 19:02

Soyo I actually can visualise that dress on you with tan leather heeled knee boots, hair up, earrings, dress and a lovely plain scarf.

neveradullmoment99 · 01/09/2018 19:03

Kind of 70's boho chic.
