You know that M+S dress Instagram is banging on about this summer?

Apparently it’s amazing, suits everyone, v flattering on all shapes, yadda yadda yadda. Sold out in about 3 seconds earlier this summer. I didn’t like it much but the power of advertising....

Does anyone have it and is it really as good as they say? Help save

I seen the jumpsuit version of this today on someone I follow on Instagram - fashion PR type person
It looked really nice , it’s in navy dots with a pink stripe down each side

Floaty wide legs and the stripe looked nice on the jumpsuit

Not a fan of the dress though as I’m v short and that length would be weird on me , plus colour looks washed out

I like it. Though I think you’d need to have a very flat stomach - any hint of a tummy and the elastic waist could look v unflattering.

OP - Don't succumb to the hype! That shirring is awfully unflattering to anybody that doesn't have washboard abs (myself included!)

But I am average height (5’6”), slim enough, (8-10 top, 10-12 bottom), decent waist still, curvey looking iygwim. I wonder.

Eek, I don’t have washboard abs. But my tummy is my best bit, decent and flat. Hips and thighs are where it all goes ahem pear shaped.

It is a pale dress, and I’m pale enough. Ach. Darn it.

@Ididnthearanything I have the second version! Leopard with orange stripe. I like it a lot and it is flattering. Having said that I haven't worn it yet as it's too hot at the moment for that type of fabric and it's quite tight so feels quite dressy. I plan to wear it with trainers and leather biker when it gets a bit cooler.

Ahhh it's nice apart from the black line. That spoils it.

I would get it OP, it might sell out, you can always return it if it doesn’t look right. It will play on your mind else and then your size will be gone

Yeah, something about it I quite like. As always, they haven't styled the photo well but I believe it could look good. Try it!

That length is awful, I know for sure I would look ridiculous wearing that unless it was about a foot shorter, mid-calf is very unflattering.

I’ve got the leopard one, I find shutting flattering for my not so flat stomach.

It runs small for M&S but true to size for other shops, if that makes sense.

They tried this last year with this goddawful pink monstrosity with bell sleeves that made everyone look like a frilly erect penis. There were hundreds of them in the sale.

The one you’re talking about is meh. It doesn’t look great on the model, so the chances of it looking great on anyone else are slim.

The eBay one is nothing special and looks cheap. It's raved about by the members of the Mrs Gloss Facebook group, but god knows the majority of them aren't very bright!

I like it but you'd have to look like the model. And viscose is too hot for summer and needs ironing or it looks like it's shrunk.

Would be good in dark colour.

I’ve seen about 200 photos of people in the eBay dress on Facebook and I won’t be buying it. It’s nothing special imo. At least the people raving about it are doing so genuinely though unlike the m&s one where they get paid or given free stuff to do so.

I've got the leopard print dress and it's amazing. I was a bit hesitant to order it as it looks like it could be frumpy on, but it's SO flattering. Covers arms, defines the waist, great length. I love it.
