LED light treatment

montenuit · 15/06/2018 08:17

Yesterday i had a complimentary LED light session at the beauty salon.

OMG my skin - redness gone down, pores disappeared.

Am so tempted to do a course. So expensive though. Has anyone else used it? Is it worth it? How many do you need to do and how often for it to have a long term effect?

@ParadiseLaundry ahhh how annoying! At least it's mostly cleared up now though which is fantastic. Finally something that works!

itsBritneyBeach · 05/08/2018 09:21

Double post, crappy appHmmBlush

princesstiasmum · 05/08/2018 11:26

badlydrawncat yes sorry, i dont know why i put RF anyway looking forward to using it,as you have probably seen, my mask has gone haywire, only used it 3 times up to now,so will be contacting seller
The clours that are not working have just gone completely blank, dead

MortyVicar · 05/08/2018 15:00

I bought the Project E one off the back of this thread, before people had started posting about their problems with it. I too have the red light turning orange issue, so I emailed the company rather than the seller. They tell me that 'their engineer' says that it's a faulty USB cable and they're sending me another one. I'll update when I've got it.

princesstiasmum · 05/08/2018 19:53

MortyVicar Hester upthread had this problem from Project E too, and they sent her a new cable, which i believe was the same,so sent her a new mask,
I returned mine for the same reason, but not from project E.
I have got another from somewhere else and it looks orange too, not really red, so i wonder if its supposed to look orangey
This new one lost the green.yellow and white, but tried it again and they are ok now, but will still contact the seller
I dont know how Hester has got on with her new one as she was away when it arrived i think
Please update when you get the cable if its any different or the same
Hope its better

HesterHare · 07/08/2018 18:10

Sorry it's taken me so long to update, my new mask has arrived but I've not had a chance to try it properly yet, will give it a go this evening. I did put it on and the lights look red so I'm hoping they stay that way! In other wrinkle related news I didn't use the various lotions (Reface Retinol, Vitamin C suspension and a facial oil) I had been using when I was on holiday and the wrinkles definitely appeared deeper by the end of the holiday.

princesstiasmum · 07/08/2018 18:41

I expect the wrinkles look deeper because of the sun, my new mask still looks orange, cant understand why
Retinol Reface is lovely,i have used it in the past
I have just ordered some Judith Williams retinol stuff off QVC its a set of large tube foam wash, day cream, and night cream,i tried it when it was on offer a few months ago, and been waiting for it to come back on offer, its a bargain@ £30 for all three, full size, i love it,and found it did make a difference
Hope your mask is ok this time Hester

HesterHare · 11/08/2018 10:03

Maybe, although I wasn't in the sun an awful lot, mostly stayed in the shade. Haven't had a chance to use my mask as I've been ridiculously busy, going to use it today.

SuperSange · 11/08/2018 10:15

Ooh. So if I was to want to try one of these, I google photon mask? I've not heard of them, but have open pores and post pregnancy brown pigmentation with general sagging but few wrinkles. Which one might help? It all sound confusing. Blush

SuperSange · 11/08/2018 10:17

Oh, and those bloody neck wrinkles that the French call necklaces. I've had them from my early twenties. (46 now).

princesstiasmum · 11/08/2018 17:27

I have not seen any difference yet with my mask, early days i know, but keep hoping

EthelredOnAGoodDay · 12/08/2018 14:01

Hi there, just been reading this with interest. I didn't even know these masks existed! Would they be good for age spots? I have quite a big age/sun spot on my face that I want to get rid of. Wonder if this might help? Thanks!

princesstiasmum · 14/08/2018 23:19

My sister got rid of an age spot with Retin A, didnt take long she said
I am having to return this second mask i have got now, some colours do not always work and it is constantly flickering, when i put it on the highest setting it goes back to a lower one in colour

HesterHare · 18/08/2018 17:39

So I've used the mask a few times now, been doing 15 minutes red and 10 green, going to increase both by 5 minutes next time. I'm not sure if it's that or because I've been using the retinol and vit c suspension regularly but the fine lines have definitely decreased and aren't so deep when I smile. I haven't noticed much difference on a couple of red patches I have yet but hoping that will change.

princesstiasmum · 18/08/2018 18:49

I dont think i have seen any change at all, except skin seems dryer, and having to return this new one because twice now the green and white are not working, also flickering a lot, but having a heck of a job getting them to take it back, had to send a video of it flickering while wearing it
Got this one off ebay, and if its not resolved by the 22nd they will sort it,
It is obviously faulty, and the connection from lead to mask gets a bit too warm,
The trouble is i think they all seem to be chinese, and they seem to hate taking things back,
Glad you are seeing results though Hester

HesterHare · 19/08/2018 01:42

Oh that sucks Princess Tiana I have to say I was surprised they were so quick to send me a new one and didn't even ask for the old one back. To be fair it remains to be seen how long this one will last staying as red as it has been.

HesterHare · 19/08/2018 01:44
  • PrincessTia damn autocorrect!
princesstiasmum · 19/08/2018 09:46

That is good news Hester i hope it does stay red, i find that these chinese sellers can be a pain, had to complain once about a top i wanted to return, as they sent something big enough to get 2 people in and i asked for a size 10, the reply was" give it to someone else," cheeky devil
I got onto ebay and they got my refund, and said keep the other, no good to me and still got it, as i dont know anyone it would actually fit
