LED light treatment

montenuit · 15/06/2018 08:17

Yesterday i had a complimentary LED light session at the beauty salon.

OMG my skin - redness gone down, pores disappeared.

Am so tempted to do a course. So expensive though. Has anyone else used it? Is it worth it? How many do you need to do and how often for it to have a long term effect?

Thus is the best thread EVER. I ordered the Project E one, because I am a sheep, and WOW!
Used it three njghts running, 20mins Red and 5 mins Blue and my face is TRANSFORMED.
I have rosacea, acne, skin sagging, acne pigmentation scars, terrjvle ooen p ores, a rough almost onion peel texture to chin.
It's like my skin has been resurfaced - almost looks like it's wrapped in cellophane - pores are practically non existent and I had Ice pick pore scars on my nose and chin and my colour has totally evened out - I just look pinky glowy rather than red.
Face also looks less saggy, more firm.
3 nights!
Thank you, thank you for starting this thread!

pointycow · 25/06/2018 08:30

@JMAngel1 I’m really tempted! How long did it take to come and what were the shipping charges like?

Crusoe · 25/06/2018 14:17

I ordered mine via Amazon delivery was next day with Prime.
I totally agree it is a fab product my skin is different already in just a week of use. I have been out twice this week without make up I haven’t done that in the last 30 years.
The persistent spot I had on my nose that just wouldn’t heal has totally gone. A couple of new little spots have appeared almost like the skin is purging itself but they are gone super fast.
It sounds dramatic but this mask is changing my life.
Well worth the money.

HesterHare · 25/06/2018 17:02

I may have to order one when I get paid at the end of the month, I don't think I can wait until Christmas after these reviews!

JMAngel1 · 25/06/2018 19:46

I paid £4.99 shipping and it arrived the next dayI was worried I wouldn't be able to commit to the time every night, but God, you couldn't stop me using it now.

princesstiasmum · 25/06/2018 23:50

Has anyone had any good results with the neck area, that is my bugbear, i am tempted to get one, but i really need my neck tightening , [some hope i know]

Granolabear · 26/06/2018 00:04

Jmangel can you link to the one you bought?!

And are they def safe? Photosensitising?

JMAngel1 · 26/06/2018 11:15

I git the same one as Crusoe - see upthread for link.
Tbh. with these results, I don't care about safety data lol! No seriously, there is lots of safety data about LED and the colours are all considered safe in terms of UVA and UVB radiation. Ifbthere is any risk it's greater with a blue ligbt as that's closest on the spectrum to UVB apparently.

itsBritneyBeach · 26/06/2018 19:44

Has anybody got any results using light therapy for acne? I'm desperate not to go on Accutane again and hoping I can find a miracle mask Grin

JMAngel1 · 27/06/2018 07:15

Yes, the blue light is for acne - I had new spots coming up on my chin just before started using it last week and theyy have all gone - they never came to a head - just kind of flattened down and best part, no pigmentation scars. I had a lump on my forehead for around 3 yesrs and the light has brought it out and now it's disappearing - I had thought that lump was here to stay!o
Skin just looks so more calm. I have been on roaccutane twice for perspective - I am so chuffed with this mask.

itsBritneyBeach · 27/06/2018 13:35

Oh wow I'm definitely going to invest then! Thank you

HappyKatieA · 27/06/2018 15:55

I've just 'swiped right' because of this thread, I'm very excited!
I'm going to take before and after pics, I've suffered with adult acne all my years since around 20, so lots of scarring!

busyboysmum · 27/06/2018 16:25

Baaaa have ordered one need to keep off this forum!

Granolabear · 27/06/2018 20:20

Baaaaa trying to resist until next payday! Bleat!

HesterHare · 27/06/2018 20:28

I am counting the days down until I get paid so I can order one, baaaa Grin

GaryBarlowsTaxReturn · 28/06/2018 20:39

This thing sounds amazing! I am late 30's with acne so I'm really tempted. Can the posters who've ordered them off the back of this thread update us with what they think?

itsBritneyBeach · 28/06/2018 20:49

I've ordered the Neutrogena one because I can't afford a fancier one!

Apparently there's a hack for it so you don't have to buy the remotes ever again, my friend said he'll do it for me. I'll post updates and pics if it's good results Grin

HappyKatieA · 28/06/2018 21:12

Mine arrived today, but I haven't tried it, I'm hoping to start tomorrow. I'm going to take before pics so I can see the difference.
If they're not too embarrassing I'll post! 😉🤭

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/06/2018 21:18

I hacked mine Britney but it didn’t work as well and went through batteries like no ones business.

Boots often have them on 3 for 2.

princesstiasmum · 28/06/2018 23:48

Can i ask if there are older posters having good results with these masks, like 60+ especially, mainly for wrinkles, and skin sagging?

badlydrawncat · 29/06/2018 00:32

I'm 60. I don't have a mask but I do have a lightstim and it's probably my best buy in years. It makes a huge difference to the texture and elasticity of my skin and it did so right from the first or second use. I've also used it on aches and pains and it helps there too.
Dead simple to use. I just hold it on the area for a few minutes then move it.
I bought mine 2nd hand from eBay

itsBritneyBeach · 29/06/2018 08:50

@Fluffycloudland77 that's good to know, thank you I'll have to keep my eyes open!

princesstiasmum · 29/06/2018 08:57

Badlydrawncat* thank you will have a look at those.cant bear to look at my neck in a mirror, seems to have got really bad in just a few months
I did try a dermawand which seemed to brighten skin, for a few hours, and a Nu Face gadget ,but i am sure that drags skin down

GaryBarlowsTaxReturn · 29/06/2018 12:08

I got over excited and ordered myself a mask, it's coming tomorrow. I'll update the thread with what I think!

itsBritneyBeach · 01/07/2018 17:59

Neutrogena order got cancelled, so gone for this one instead! It comes this week and I'm excited to try it out
